Incredibly bright and versatile dive video light - sure to be your primary video light
I love this light more than I expected to. I’ll get to that a little later in this review. I’ll start with the easy part - the construction. This is an Orcatorch and is everything I have come to expect from them. It is made from airplane grade aluminum and you can feel the quality, Everything about the light feels like it is made to last. From the switch, which feels solid and has a nice little LED light in the center to let you know charge status, and the way that the light opens for the battery compartment so smoothly - you know this is not a cheap light. It is solid. It comes with two batteries, and I really like that. It is always nice to have an extra battery to change in between dives and not having to worry about charging on a boat or at the beach. These batteries have a USB C port built right in so to charge them you just plug a USB C cable into the battery and plug the other end into a power source. The D710V MK2 also comes with a convenient USB C to A cable but any one should work. The light has a triple O-ring design so as long as you keep them clean and lubricated you should not have a flooding problem. It also comes with an extra set of 3 O-rings so this really is meant to last many years and many dives. Now to the meat and potatoes of this review - how it performs. I’ll start with saying that I already own the D710V MK1 - and that has been my favorite video dive light for a while. And when I saw the specs on the MK2 I was a bit skeptical. On paper it is a bit brighter but it comes at the cost of a little bit of battery life. I thought this was a bad idea. And then I went diving with it. The MK2 is noticeably brighter than the MK1 - much more than I expected. It really is going to make a difference in my underwater photos and videos. It is really nice and has no rough edges around the perimeter of the light - perfect for pictures and videos, I took it on a long dive - 69 minutes and he LED light was still green - so the light should last a long time. Will it last two dives? Probably not, but after a bit of thought I realized the MK1 would not either. So it still has more than enough power for a very long dive and it had that nice added bonus of extra brightness - one that you will really appreciate. On the MK1 I never really used the red or ultra-violet modes, They did not seen strong enough to be very useful, On the MK2 both these modes have a huge boost in power and it is VERY noticeable, Overall, I strongly recommend this light. It is reasonably priced and will make an excellent primary video dive light. Your pictures and videos will thank you.

Great Little Video Light
I’ve owned a few OrcaTorches in the past. I’ve been very happy with the quality and price. One of my favorites is the D710. With the 6 degree narrow beam it make a great little spotting light. I recently purchased the D710V. What caught me attention was the small size, the 120 degree 2000 lumen beam, and the ball mount. I do underwater video with a large full frame camera. I thought that this would work great as a backlight. On my recent dive trip, I didn’t have an opportunity to do macro video. But I was surprised how well it performed on wideangle and close up. I have a few pictures below to show my testing of the D710V. The first picture below shows screen grabs from the same video clip. On the left side is with no light, on the right side with the D710V. It lit up the foreground nicely adding color, without overpowering it. Next, I have a closeup on an arrow crab, with very nice results. The D710V was bright enough to overpower the dappling from the sun. I pulled back to show how close the light was to the subject. Finally, I have a picture of how I set it up on a small tripod. I’m looking forward in trying the D710V with macro. The quality of OrcaTorch shows in how well it is packaged. It comes in a padded travel case, with a USB-C chargeable battery, ball mount, lanyard and spare O-Rings. The red light is great to signal a boat during a night dive. The UV light, at night shows all the fluorescent critters on the reef. I would recommend two of these for anyone with a small underwater video camera. And as backlight, or macro light for larger cameras.

Excellent value you'll be glad you bought.
I absolutely love this light. My gf had the previos model, so when we saw they upgraded it, we had to try it. The light comes with a ball mount so it's easy to mount it on the camera, and easy to transfer it to a different camera if we change setups. The battery lasts a long time, especially if we turn it off between searches and photos or videos. I love that it comes with two batteries and they can be charged by plugging a USBC cable directly into the battery so that one can be charging while we use the other. The modes are very bright, less bright, red and violet. We are looking forward to using the red light when we go to Malapascua for the mandarin fish dives. I will also use the violet light to see a different perspective of the corals at night. It is easy to switch between modes and then off again by a quick press of the side button. The angle is a good, wide beam, so if our dives won't be extremely long, we leave it on as a search light to light up the reef. It's an excellent, well-made light and we have recommended it to many people already.

My Adventure with the ORCA: Reliable video light and red light for night dives
After extensive testing and research, this underwater light proved to be a great choice for my diving and photography. I dive in cold water, travel internationally for liveaboard diving and I needed the light for my photography and gopro videos, that is small and practical, durable enough to handle rough use and easy to operate with gloves. The flashlight provides impressive brightness and wide beam to cover my subjects. The color comes out to be quite natural or can be tweaked in photo editor to bring out the details. The included ball joint bracket is super convenient to attach with the camera tray. I could easily get two to three one-hour dives with a single charge if I turn on/off while taking my pictures and not using it all the time. I found the high intensity mode is generally too bright. So, I primarily use the low mode and red light for night dives. The green light on the button is also useful to know how much battery is remaining without worrying about the dead battery. For the night dives, the red light is quite useful to find the animals before I turn on video light to take pictures. The build is quite solid to handle the rough and tumble of multi-day boat dives. I took it down to 100 ft without any issues and battery worked flawlessly. For the best battery life during long dive trips, I switch between the two included batteries and charge them during surface intervals. The low mode is perfect for most situations and helps extend battery life significantly.

Extremely bright
I bought this light for my husband who is a dive instructor. He has been using this lights for a long time due to their reliability and toughness. These orca torch lights were built to last. The pictures attached are from his latest night dive. Thus D710V MK2 is so versatile. He was able to use the red light when wanting to see what's beyond the glare. And see further at night. Also the UV light is a must!!! Every glowing sea coral was amazing under the uv light of the d710v mk2. Battery life is amazing. He uses them every day and only charges them every 6 to 10 dives. He has them attacked to his equipment with s/s Carabiner. The outshine every light of its class on that dive. Bringing day to night. Buttoms are very easy to handle Overall... this light is not cheap but it makes this a true investment for scuba diving, after all, who doesn't want the best?

versatile dive companion
I'm more than pleased with this purchase! Out of the box: Delivery was quick and the packaging was well thought out. I loved that the package had minimal discardable plastic pieces! Almost all the packaging has repurposed potential. While compact and good on the budget, the construction materials feel sturdy and high quality, yet the torch is lightweight. Furthermore, the box includes all the necessary pieces in a way that is ready to mount on your camera rig and go. Underwater, I was very pleasantly surprised with how bright, clean, and wide the white light was. 2K lumens is no joke. I also love the 600 lumens hue for a soft light touch. The UV and Red light options are new to me and I'm super excited about learning more about it. For the red light, I tested it on a skittish tiny shrimp that tends to disappear quickly when approached. The red light allowed me to set the focus and snap the shot as intended. On the other hand, the UV light is opening up a whole new side of the underwater organisms I typically see during my dives. Bringing up colors and patterns I haven't noticed before. Lastly, the battery life seems reasonable for all of the video light uses and it charges very quickly, which is ideal for multiple dive days! In all, I'm happy with this purchase and look forward to leveraging my day/night fun dives and underwater photography.

A versatile and rugged powerhouse for video and technical dives
I picked up the D710V MK2 for a recent trip where I knew I'd be doing some tighter photography, and it has quickly become a staple in my kit. The first thing you notice is the build quality. It feels solid in the hand without being a brick, which is huge when you are already task-loaded. The beam is incredibly smooth. That 120-degree spread is no joke, there are zero hot spots, which makes post-processing your video so much easier since you don't have those blown-out white circles in the middle of the frame. Switching between the white, red, and UV modes is intuitive even with thick gloves on. The UV/Violet mode is a total blast for seeing coral fluorescence, and the red is perfect for sneaking up on skittish macro life without scaring them off. What really sold me was how it handled during my cave dives. In an overhead environment, you need gear that is reliable and easy to toggle. Even when pushing through some tighter restrictions, the light held up against the limestone and didn't skip a beat. The battery life is solid for two long dives on full power, though I usually swap it just to be safe. If you are looking for a compact video light that punches way above its weight class for both open water and more technical environments, this is definitely worth the investment. It makes lighting up a dark caves feel effortless.

Great Product Fast Shipping Great Seller Highly Recommend OrcaTorch Brand
This is my 2nd OrcaTorch. The first one was the D710 3000 Lumens, a great flashlight that I use in all my dives here in Hawaii. I figured I would try out the D710V now, as you can see it's pretty much the same dive light with tri-color LEDS. I have yet to dive with it, as I just got it a few days ago. I will be diving soon and update my review. So far the packaging is just a good, if not better than the D710. Looks like they went with hard plastic molding on this model, which works nice as it hugs the flashlight and batteries in place. The side pouch is just like the D710, works great to keep the accessories and anything else you want to keep in there, like O-rings for your dive tanks or dive mask antifog. The case is nice and small, so you can throw in your dive gear bag. It's round edges and cloth like exterior is perfect, as it won't damage your gear. You can also hang it on the outside of your dive back with a bolt snap hook/clip from the strap that is attached to the outside of the case. The lumens on this flashlight on land so far are great. I took a few pics of my backyard with all three colors. The white is very bright, it pretty much lit up my backyard. I was surprised at how bright the red led was, as you can see from the pics. The UV light is not as bright on land, but that's normal for UV. From these land test, I can't wait to use this flashlight on one of my dives. I will update this review with more pictures and my feedback once I get to use this flashlight during a dive.

Maravillosa
La lámpara es una maravilla; la posibilidad de tener diferentes luces durante un buceo nocturno es fundamental para respetar la vida marina. Use la luz roja y ultravioleta durante un nocturno y me cambió el buceo. Todo buzo nocturno debe tener una.
