Great stabilising gimbal with good software.
Brilliant gadget. I use this for a few tasks, it's tracking is great even on older devices like an S9. The issue with using older devices is the framerate limits, but you still get good video. The app is ok, I'd say it's far less annoying than some. The gimble hardware itself is very well designed, to the point they managed to hide an extension in the grip! The servos/motors are good and smooth with pretty good response, actually holding the gimble is comfortable, in certain conditions I might consider something to cover the grip. The tripod base is good for tables, the gimble is happy on most standard tripods too, The mount is great, once you get used to getting the phone in and out. I'd not recommend using a bare phone, have at least an edge case. I've recorded for over 4 hours and the battery has been fine.

Great device!!
I couldn’t be happier with my DJI Osmo Mobile 6! From the moment I unboxed it, I was impressed by the build quality and sleek design. It’s compact, easy to carry, and sets up in seconds — perfect for travel, vlogging, or everyday moments. The stabilization is insanely smooth. Whether I’m walking, panning, or even running, the footage stays buttery and professional-looking. The tracking feature is incredibly smart — it locks onto my subject and follows seamlessly, which is a huge help when I’m filming alone. I also love how intuitive the controls are. The built-in extension rod is a great bonus, and the DJI Mimo app adds even more creative options and templates. This gimbal has seriously upgraded the way I shoot Reels and videos. If you’re thinking about getting one — do it! It’s worth every cent. So happy with this purchase!

A great upgrade and well worth it
I purchased this as an upgrade from my OM3 and have as yet used it a handful of times, all I can say is WOW!!.Still finding my way around its modes and I'm finding it amazing.Battery life is really very good.Tracking is brilliant and when used with the Mimo App its a lot more stable in its connection and doesn't "Drop out" as I found with my older OM3.The extendable selfie stick gives you a little more reach which is a nice touch, however on the downside, but only for me, when fully extended I find difficulty in balancing the unit in my hand,I have arthritis in my hands and wrists and the weight of my iPhone on it makes it a little top heavy for me to hold comfortably. As I say thats the only problem that I've got, however with lock mode on it seems to cope with my own problem. Its an excellent design and its size makes a comfortable hold when not extended. If you want a gimbal to get into video, then get this...It's worth it 5 Stars *****

Easy and simple to use.
I got one of these to make doing video at events a little easier. It was easy to set up although the software has to be downloaded as an APK file for Android rather than from Google Play. There are some great options and the controls are easy to use thanks to the design of the gimble. My only issue is functionality when it comes to doing video, the software is a little jerky compared to the smoothness of the in-built video ability of the S24 FE, plus on the odd occasion the gimble does have a mind of its own.

Really useful for video capture
I've wanted a lightweight gimbal for some time, so was very excited when DJI released the Mobile 6. With a vacation in South Africa planned, I also had a great excuse! NB: If you plan to do something similar, I highly recommend buying it ahead of your trip so that you are familiar with it before you actually 'need' it! The gimbal does an amazing job at smoothing out movement and keeping things level I typically use it in 'TiltL Lock' mode. The built in extension pole is also extremely useful - especially for reaching above a crowd when sight seeing - and of course for selfies! And talking of selfies, the 'follow me' feature is great fun! So far, I've never had any issues with battery life - even when out for most of the day. I use an iPhone 14 Pro Max with a quadlock case - which makes hooking it onto the gimbal's clip a slight challenge, so I swapped to a slimmer iPhone case for most of the vacation. FYI: The gimbal proved less useful when on safari - as sometimes I needed a very quick shot to capture something - and waiting for the gimbal to fire up and align took too long. I subsequently resorted to 'hand held shots' for that specific activity. NB: That's NOT a criticism of this product - just a general comment. At the time I was using it most - in Jan 2023, the DJI app didn't support the iPhone 14's 'cinematic' mode. That meant that I needed to use the iPhone camera app - rather than DJI's gimbal app - loosing some DJI features as a consequence. That may well be resolved via a DJI app update by the time you read this :) Bottom line, a fantastic piece of kit - wouldn't be without it! Go buy one!

Heads up. It works with iPhone 6 Plus.
This gimbal is an amazing peice of kit in my opinion. It’s light, extremely portable. Easy to use. Some reviewers have commented on it being overpriced. But in my opinion you get what you pay for. Yes there are cheaper options, including earlier dji models. But i think the extension arm was the dealbreaker for me. I get the impression it will last me for years, so have no problem being £145 lighter in the wallet. I just wanted to mention Two things that potential buyers might find useful, I haven’t seen already mentioned. Firstly, it works absolutely great with the iPhone 6 Plus, altho dji’s own compatibility list says earliest phone is the 8. Ok, it’s an old phone, but I’m sure there’s still plenty in circulation. I will be upgrading soon tho. Secondly, you don’t need to use the app, if you just want basic 3 axis stabilisation and start/stop, and picture taking features. It works as a standalone unit. It’s just a Bluetooth connection. You don’t get the zoom or tracking of course. But can still pan in all directions. So if you just want to do a basic shoot, just use your phone’s camera app. Why would you do this you may ask. Well to save your phones battery life. If there’s one downside to the app, is it literally sucks the life out of my phones battery. I can’t comment on newer phones with bigger capacity just yet. All in all tho, it’s still 5 stars from me. I love it. I may do an update, when i get my 13 pro max next week.

A Balanced Look at the DJI Osmo Mobile 6
I’ve been using the Osmo Mobile 6 for the past few weeks, and my first impression was how compact and sturdy it feels in hand. Clipping my phone into the magnetic mount was straightforward, and the fold-out design makes it easy to stash in a camera bag. The adjustment wheel lets you fine-tune balance quickly, though it took me a couple of tries to get perfect centering. In day-to-day shooting, the three-axis stabilization lives up to its promise—walking shots come out noticeably smoother than handheld footage. ActiveTrack 6.0 generally follows moving subjects well, but it can lose focus under low light or when multiple people cross the frame. The DJI Mimo app unlocks fun modes like hyperlapse and DynamicZoom, yet its layout feels cluttered at times, and a few functions occasionally lag or crash on my older phone. Battery life hovers around six hours of moderate use, which covers a full afternoon of casual filming but falls short if you’re planning all-day shoots. The built-in tripod and quick-release switch between portrait and landscape in seconds, making it an easy companion for both video and stills. At roughly 300 grams, it’s light enough to hold for extended periods, though heavier phone setups can introduce a slight pull. Overall, the Osmo Mobile 6 delivers noticeably steadier footage and unlocks creative modes that my phone alone can’t achieve. The learning curve is real—expect to spend an afternoon exploring menus and tweaking settings—but once you’ve dialed it in, it becomes a reliable tool for cleaner, more polished clips.

Annoying unmutable sound, Bluetooth connection not kept alive when phone snapped off
I've got one for a long time. It has two terrible faults. 1- incredibly annoying and loud shutter sound that cannot be muted in its app (android). You need to mute the phone ring volume (not the media volume) and risk missing incoming calls. The sound option in the app is for the gimbal hardware sound, not the app and its hyper annoying sound which is sounds something like this: "SSSSHHHRRRAAKKKKKKKKK I TOOOK A PHOTOOOO I TOOOOK A PHOTOOOO!!!!" And now you are the weirdo that uses gimbal. 2- Bluetooth connection not kept alive when you put the gimbal in sleep mode. Sometimes you need to take the phone out and use it for another purpose, when you attach it back to the gimbal and wake it, it needs to find and connect to the phone again, making quick detach and re attach impossible. For these reasons this gimbal doesn't live up to it's potential, being a very practical, snap off use the phone and snap on back and continue. There is enough "friction" to make you give up on this promise. This was the main reason I switched from Zhiyun Smooth Q4. And when using this device is not practical, you just don't use it at all, leave to collect dust. Please note that, it is not a camera you are attaching to the gimbal, it is a phone and in real life usage, you may need your phone (in your hand) for many reasons, and then return back to shooting. Compared to Zhiyun Smooth Q4, especially the clamp this has one advantage and one disadvantage, coming from the same reason. The clamp (other than being a separate piece , connecting magnetically) is very wide. Since it is wide, there is no risk of attaching the phone tilted, which would make all photos tilted. Since the clamp is very wide, the phone is almost always parallel to the clamp, no tilt. This is the good part. The bad part is that, since it is very wide, when you position your phone centered to be balanced, the clamp has a high probability of pushing on the power button, which ruins everything. When you slide the phone up, so that clamp doesn't push the power button, then the phone - gimbal becomes unbalanced and it gives a warning, gimbal may overheat or ar least consume more power. For my Huawei P30 Pro, I need to position the clamp exactly just under the button, with approximately 1 mm of the clamp touching the button, this way I don't get the warning and the phone doesn't do a force shutdown. Another annoyance, with all DJI products is the app not being on the Android Play store. You need to enable side loading on your phone, decreasing the security of your phone.
