Fantastic headphones
It's always too early to tell with tech items, so here's my day one review. I'll update this as the months go by if anything changes. For context, I've been working at a warehouse where power tools are always blaring. The ANC has done wonders to mitigate this noise -- I can only hear the loudest of tools and it's a very manageable hum, with my music being louder than it (65 db, as determined from the app). It's not completely silent, as many say, but that's to be expected from earbuds. I own the Life Q30s from Soundcore as well and can attest to their quality, so I had some high expectations for these. Needless to say they've done the job quite well. For looks, they're great. The case is cool, too. For comfort, not sure yet. I never used earbuds extensively before, so my ears have felt some discomfort, but that might just be the need to get used to this. The app has been great and the UI is a big improvement from when I first got my Q30s. My one qualm is the lack of volume control. It would be nice to have that available on the earbuds (perhaps a tap macro in a future update) rather than having to reach and grab my phone. But, that doesn't detract anything from my liking of the buds themselves. As for sound quality -- the bad reviews that say the sound sucks have never touched the Soundcore app. The "Soundcore Signature" default just isn't that good... most people can agree with this. But once you change that and find something you like, the quality is wonderful. Overall, a really good start for these. I'm excited to see how these will go. UPDATE: it's now October, so roughly 3 months since I bought these headphones. I must say I've had no major issues so far. There have been some quirks -- sometimes the sound goes all wonky for a split second as if the headphones are having trouble deciding what sound profile they were using. This only happens once every few days, and I use these headphones a LOT, so it's a drop in the ocean. There was also a time where the headphones somehow became uncoupled overnight -- one headphone connected and the other didn't, and after a scare thinking that the earbuds were busted I just reset them and all was good. This only happened once. Sound quality hasn't changed, comfortability hasn't changed, and the NC is a lot more noticeable in a busy college environment. I still heavily recommend these, they've been wonderful and honestly worth the price tag.

Almost a year and still excellent
I wanted to put these through their paces before reviewing. Sound quality is excelkent in LDAC with 3d surround mode. If you close your eyes you can feel where the different instruments are. So many different equalizer and custom sound profiles that I can't begin to list them all. I like the acoustic preset or a custom eq with a little extra in the mids. Very good bass that sounds like room filling bass instead of ear bass. I once got into the pool and swam underwater to the other side of the pool before realizing they were in. I just set them on the table while i finished swimming and they still work fine. FYI the music was still playing underwater. The battery life is only good for 3 to 4 hours of continuous play in LDAC with 3d on but if you charge them for a few minutes it gives you a few more hours. It's best to just put them in the case if you're not using them, even if it's only for a few minutes. I use mine all day everyday. The nose reduction works great and the ability to filter wind noise is great but it does sacrifice a little of the noise reduction but much better than nothing. They pair quickly and allow for multi device pairing. I like that they will pair over another device if you take them out of the case for phone calls. The only gripe i have is the way the case opens. It takes a lot to get used to. Its a hybrid flip top / clamshell design. The case is slippery and the button to open it is in the way of it opening so you have to slide your hand down barely gripping the case to open it. I just use two hands. They slide until the case with the assistance of magnets and arent to terribly difficult to remove. These are the best headphones I've used to date and are definitely worth it being so much cheaper than the apple pros. ****1 year update*** The battery life is down to about 1 hour play time and I'm back to using my life p3's. Battery life suddenly degraded right after the 1 year mark and one seems to die 20 to 30 minutes sooner than the other

These get better with age
Out of the box, these earbuds are no big deal. But after you install the app and let it test your hearing, WOW! I've spent hundreds on headphones before but I didn't feel like doing it for a set of earbuds when they all seem to break after a few years if you're lucky. After doing the ear test, these buds are _almost_ up there with much more expensive headphones. The only things holding these back from getting five stars are: - I can hear a very very high pitched sound constantly with these buds. It's not loud, but it's there. - The tuning process ended up boosting the highs a bit too much. Singers I know well sound like chipmunks. I'll see if I can use the app to reduce the highs a bit. Update 12/15/23: - I used the app and it did not help the (very) high pitched constant sound. It's not all that bad, but I'd still rather not have it. - These earbuds don't fit the best. I dropped one and it stopped working. Normally I wouldn't have replaced these if they're that fragile. But they were still under warranty and I'm super happy with the controls, the customized sound, etc, so I did replace them. I've also ordered some of these to see if I can get a better fit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B097931JHT Update 12/18/23: I contacted the manufacturer of these buds about them breaking from a fall. This was their response: "We regret that there is no warranty covered for non-manufacturing related issues." So apparently, they never designed their buds to survive a fall, so they never tested if their buds could survive a fall, so they never manufactured their buds to survive a fall. But yeah, it's a "non-manufacturing related issue". Good luck. Update 4/9/25: What a roller coaster ride with these earbuds. Sometimes they're great, other times not so much. They've been sitting on a shelf for a while but I decided to dig them out because I'm looking for earbuds with really good sound and noise cancellation. I put these on, turned on the noise cancellation, and they're surprisingly good. The high-pitched sound is gone. Wind noise while I'm out walking is pretty well controlled. The rubber ear gaskets kept coming off so I glued them in place. I even dropped one and it survived. I've ordered the Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra buds. I'll update this review with a comparison. Update 4/9/25: OK, I got the Bose. The noise cancelling is everything people say it is. Simply outstanding. Unfortunately, out of the box, the sound from the Bose is severely lacking. I had to crank the mids and highs all the way up to get an OK sound.

I honestly thought when they didn’t lose charge for 3 days of use something was wrong
I actually contacted support because I genuinely thought something was wrong. I did their troubleshooting and that didn’t work. A day later I checked the app for the battery level again and it FINALLY went down 1 bar (there are 5 bars on the battery icon so I can only assume that one bar is worth about 20% of battery. I had one in either ear for 8hrs a day for 3 days. These are quite loud, and I like loud music but they can truly get too loud. Can’t complain really I do enjoy it, this means I only run them at 40-60% volume at any time. I am truly impressed by the battery life, performance and features of the earbuds and case. The ANC is very good. When music is playing I literally cannot hear people speak. All I see is lips moving ! The case wirelessly charges, but you won’t need to do that often evidently ! If you have a wireless charging pad for AirPods that will work for these as well. The app is easy to use and pretty quick to connect to the buds, not AirPods level of speed but pretty good for a 3rd party connection. The app can be used to fully customize multiple different EQs, set different controls on the buds (there are 4 per each bud, single, double, triple and hold press). Sound quality definitely beats apple and Samsungs flagships earbuds. When I listened to these and discovered all the features, I started questioning why I ever spent $250 on AirPods. Despite all these good features I feel there are some things Anker could improve. A fatal flaw pretty much all TWS earbuds have is the charging case. Yes it charges fast via Type c or wirelessly. But it opens super easy. Which means if it gets dropped your earbuds all pretty much certain to go flying out. I don’t judge too hard for this because pretty much every company that make TWS earbuds do this. The case also feels a bit cheap. It’s very lightweight and the hinge has some light movement too it when closed like the fit isn’t quite perfect. It also collects dust on the inside (closed part of the case where the buds are) when closed. You cannot control volume with the touch controls on the buds, and there is no Hey siri. I wish there was a way to customize the transparency frequency response. I cook for a living and I was wearing one bud with transparency on. I put some oil in the pan (making a crackling sound) well the buds didn’t process that as such. It turned into a very high pitched, loud, staticky sound that was actually quite unbearable. I hurried to turn off transparency after that. Most things it processes ok, but others is sound very weird or digitized. Pros: -Great, slam or deafening ANC -Easy to use, quick connecting app -fully customizable multiple EQs - case charges wirelessly and type c -battery life lasts a super long time -buds recharge super fast in the case -Excellent soundcore sound quality that destroys the competition - Value you can’t beat that won’t break your wallet Cons: -case is a bit flimsy (hinge is a tad loose) -case collects dust on inside when closed -case easily opens to lose buds for potential drops - No swipe control on earbuds -the touch pad on the buds is sort of small, I have to re-tap sometimes. -no volume control or hey siri on buds

Decent But Flawed
I've had these earbuds for around 5 months now and I think I can give them a pretty solid review. The earbuds have a great battery life, I only need to charge the case around once per week max and that's with hours of daily wear. I've even fallen asleep with them in (more often than not) and when I wake up, they still have a good amount of battery left. Now for those of us who are unfortunate enough to have small ears, these may not be for us. My ears are small, not crazy small but small enough for most earbuds to be too large and cause uncomfortable pressure. These earbuds stay in either really well or I'm having to adjust them constantly. I'm not sure why this is the case but it is. However, the number of times I've fallen asleep in them, I don't typically wake up with them missing. I do feel that these are a bit heavy because they really FEEL like they're there. My ears get fatigued from them after a few hours. In terms of the bluetooth and multipoint connectivity, this is where they lose some stars. At first, they were great and I was thrilled to finally have a pair of earbuds with multipoint, however this was short lived. Sometimes they connect flawlessly, other time not at all. They will take several times to connect to just my phone, or if they do connect to my phone without issue, they have problems connecting to my computer. If you own any bluetooth products by Bose, you'll know that their multipoint connection works pretty seamlessly (in my experience) and your phone audio isn't automatically prioritized over your computer. The same cannot be said for these earbuds. If I have a video actively playing on my computer, and I happen to open an app on my phone, they'll automatically start playing whatever is on my phone. Additionally, I've had issues with the sound cutting out on my computer when I send a text from my phone without any sound on. In general, the multipoint works as it should around 60% of the time. There's also the occasional issue where they will take several tries to connect to my phone which can be very aggravating. My final thoughts are as follows: these are really good for the price! The sound quality is great, they're pretty noise cancelling, and the app makes them customizable. Their shortcomings are not in the functionality as earbuds but in what they're advertising as multipoint connection. If you're like me and have small ears, these may not be the most comfortable for you. But if you only really want them to listen to things on your phone or computer (one at a time) and you have normal sized ears, I think you'd really like these!

Excellent noise cancelling wireless earbuds.
Been using these for 2.5 years now. I use them daily at home connected to a laptop and when I travel to listen to my media on my Kindle fire. I also use them for calls when travelling as well. I have had no issues, the battery life is still decent and you pop a bud in the case and it charges back up pretty quickly. The noise cancelling is very good on planes, really quiets down the drone of a plane. I would not hesitate to buy them again if I needed new ear buds. They connect reliably, I often listen to my computer with only 1 ear bud when at home, that works fine too. These are great value for the quality.

This product has a known defect and the Soundcore does not know when it will be fixed.
These earbuds WOULD be awesome if they worked properly. The noise cancelling is really bad. When it does work, it sounds amazing. But that only lasts a few minutes. Then you start losing bass randomly in each earbud. The sound increases and decreases randomly. I turned off all the touch features, reset them. Nothing worked. I contacted Soundcore support, who is great, and they had me send the buds to them and they shipped me a new pair. These had the problem worse. I went online and saw many posts saying it's a known issue and people are waiting for Soundcore to fix it. Here is a direct quote from their support: "We greatly appreciate your continued patience and support. Regarding the product issue you encountered, we have received the latest confirmation from the technical team and therefore wish to have an open and honest discussion with you. First, we would like to update you on the latest situation: After thorough investigation, our technical team has basically determined that the abnormal sound issue you are having may be related to the hardware and software interaction mechanism under specific usage scenarios (such as the tightness of the earbud insertion, sudden changes in ambient noise, etc.). This is a relatively complex low-level interaction issue, and the team is currently working diligently to resolve it completely through a subsequent firmware update. Therefore, we are suggesting a refund for you, primarily based on two considerations for you: 1. Replacing the order may not fundamentally solve the problem: Since the root cause of the problem points to a specific interaction logic between the product firmware and hardware, even if we replace it with a brand new device, the new device is still highly likely to have similar issues under the same usage scenarios until the fixed firmware is officially released. We do not want you to have the same inconvenience and waiting again. 2. Uncertainty Regarding the Repair Timeline: While our technical team is working tirelessly, fixing, testing, and verifying such underlying issues requires a rigorous timeframe. We cannot currently guarantee a specific firmware release date. Therefore, we believe that offering you a return and refund is the clearest, most responsible, and best way to protect your rights. This is not an attempt to evade the issue—on the contrary, it's precisely because we have thoroughly investigated the complexity of the problem and are unsure how long you will have to wait that we should not burden you with this uncertain risk." So I'm returning them. Great support. Would have been a great product if it actually worked. I thought that just using the Normal setting, but it does it there too. I really liked the idea of these. Very disappointed. UPDATE: I did some more searching and found some reddit posts talking about how the proprietary tips weren't deep enough. Following their advice I bought the SpinFit NEO for IEM in Medium. They were not easy to get on, but got them on the third try. The Result? MAJOR DIFFERENCE! Noise cancelling is way more stable, but still a little buggy. Still much better! They don't move in my ears and make a perfect seal. I have zero issues in normal or transparent mode now. The sound on these buds was always amazing, just inconsistent. These tips took care of that. So on to the buds. They have a lot of great features. The battery life is insane. They charge pretty quick. You need the app to really get the sound out. Once you customize your EQ, you get some serious sound. The touch controls are cool too, but I'm not a touch person so sometimes it gets annoying. Their customer service is too notch too.

If only. Great sound, good app, and sadly, bad transparency/NC.
I thought I lost my airpods in an uber (fortunately), but turns out they were fine (unfortunately); in any case, I bought these to try. As a result, I only have first impressions. In any case, I have been looking to push out Apple in every part of my life, and these are the last (besides the earpods, because those are cheap and easy on my head/ears). First, some praise: the app is super easy to install and prepare. Overall, took me less than 5 minutes to get everything ready. It also has a TON of features; changing what buttons/presses do what, setting noise cancellation (NC)/transparency, and even a really good eq adjuster with an 'ID' that adjusts volume and eq pretty well. The sounds quality of these is very impressive. More so than I expected: they might even be better than airpods. However, the arguably most important part of anything digital is immersion. With earbuds, this is done with not only the sound quality, but NC/ANC and transparency as well. With the Airpod Pro 2 that I own, I sometimes forget I have them on and have to constantly check to make sure they're still in there. It's honestly a miracle I still own both earbuds, much less the case. As soon as I put these on, it was in 'NC' mode. In the app, I was very surprised to notice this because I could not tell for 2 reasons: 1. I could still hear, 2. there was a very noticeable, very distracting fizzling. As I switched to transparency, back to NC, and then to normal, there was almost zero difference. The sound is like waves on a beach; it was relaxing and by no means a grating noise, but it was EXTREMELY disappointing to find that it was nowhere near as good as airpod pros. It felt like it was trying to let you know it was there. Transparency sounds like you still have earbuds, while NC sounds like you have REALLY thick earbuds. That was the only difference. Again, this is a dealbreaker for me; the sound quality while using it is amazing, but while it's just there, its prescence is very obvious. Overall, I cannot give this a bad score. They are amazing little pieces of tech for $100 or so, and the app is very helpful as I use android. If you do not care and are listening to music the whole time you wear these and do not give a rat's bum about transparency because you don't go outside or listen to anything outside anyways, these have my wholehearted recommendation. Lots of button/sound customizations, good app, and overall good sound quality. But if you're like me and you're used to the black magic of Apple transparency/ANC, this is just not it. The search for airpod killers continues.

Exceptional Noise Isolation and Comfort at a Fraction of the Cost
Having tried multiple high-end EarPods for professional use, I can confidently say that the Anker Liberty 4 NC stands out as an exceptional option for office environments. Unlike other earbuds I’ve used, which tend to transmit background noise during Teams calls, these earbuds excel in voice isolation, ensuring that only my voice is clearly heard while surrounding noise is effectively suppressed. In addition to industry-leading noise cancellation, the Liberty 4 NC offers a comfortable fit suitable for extended wear and maintains a stable, secure feel throughout the day. What makes it even more impressive is the value for money — priced at roughly a quarter of comparable premium alternatives, it delivers top-tier performance in clarity, comfort, and noise management without the premium price tag. For professionals who frequently attend calls in noisy environments, the Anker Liberty 4 NC is a highly recommended, cost-effective solution that does not compromise on quality.
