Worth the $, good shoes
Most comfortable shoes I own? Ha, not by a long shot. It's a golf shoe. An extremely comfortable golf shoe, but a golf shoe nonetheless. There are other priorities to address aside from comfort. Stability and comfort can be at serious odds for example--the outsole is very firm on these. That was a pleasant surprise. With all the comfort talk I was worried that these may be glorified walking shoes, but they are in fact very stable. Being a golf shoe, they simply can't compete comfort-wise with other high quality shoes--some of my Campers make these feel like wood clogs in comparison. I'd put them on par with some of the ultralight Footjoy or Adidas golf shoes I've owned, although the quality of these is far superior. Also, if you are looking at both, these are in my opinion better than the Ecco street premiere shoes in every way. I would personally recommend spending the extra money and going with these BIOMs. These fit better (they feel properly snug in the right places whereas the streets feel sloppy to me), are lighter, and have a better build quality... they are a much improved evolution. They are also a very good looking shoe. Ultimately, worth the $ and I would buy again.

Great golf shoes!
update: I now have three pair of these shoes. Still wonderful!I have two pairs of these (not to be confused with the "street shoes" also made by Ecco) great golf shoes. The Biom model is so very comfortable and attractive; not cheap about $200. I get lots of commnets on these. No hard spikes or hard spike sore spots on my feet. Not advertised as waterproof, but for light rain or grass with lots of dew, I've never had any hints at leaks. The sizes vary a little; one pair is just right, the other is a tad smaller but not uncomfortably so. I wear a 7 1/2 FootJoy but a European size 40 in the Ecco. I do not slip when hitting the ball and it is great to walk straight off the course into a restaurant or home without having to change shoes in lockerroom or parking lot. I often wear mine like most people wear cross trainers or running shoes - golf shoes, they're not just for golf anymore!

May be the perfect golf shoe
I already owned this shoe in brown and loved them, so I knew what to expect. I wanted the black, too, because they look so classy and will be great for fall and winter play. I played 18 holes in them the day after they arrived with no problems. The best thing about these shoes is that I don't think about my feet when I wear them. Even with awkward lies that require less-than-optimal stance, the shoes don't shift, and my feet don't shift inside them. Today I played 18 holes in soaking conditions, and my feet never slipped and they stayed completely dry. They may indeed be perfect golf shoes. I wear them off the course, too. As I was walking into a sporting goods store last week, I noticed a man looking at my shoes. He told his wife, "Those are good-looking shoes."

Ecco Is The Best
I already have two pairs of ECCO's - ordered two other brands for a change and that was a mistake. Retuned them both and promptly ordered these BIOM Ecco Hybrids. The Yak leather is soft, the fit is perfect, great arch support, waterproof, and they hold your feet firm on the tee during the swing with no spikes. I now have three pair and am sold on the ECCO fit and quality. I wore them 27 holes right out of the box with no foot issues or breaking in needed. They also look cool on the old farts golf circuit.

Walking on clouds
I have a pair of ECCO dress shoes, rather I should say I have 4 pairs of the same ECCO dress shoe, because they are soooo darn comfortable, I had to buy more than one pair just in case they stopped making that model. As it turns out, most all of the ECCO shoes that I tried on are just as comfortable. As for these golf shoes, I have to say the hefty price tag is well worth it. My old pair of golf shoes were made by Nike (only two seasons!). I compared those worn out shoes to my new ECCO pair and realized that all of the breakdown in the construction and design of the Nike pair, was taken into consideration by ECCO in the construction of their golf shoe. I'm not picking on Nike by any means, I imagine that ECCO probably studied many major brands, but on my pair of Nike, they leather on the outside toe area was starting to peel away from the rubber. If you look at the ECCO images, you will find that they have reinforced that area. Also, they heel of my Nike began to tear away. The ECCO "street" style doesn't have a "dress" heel, so I don't foresee that being a problem. My only concern, is that the tread is not replaceable, like on a standard golf shoe, the spikes can be replaced. I have not entirely read through the specs. Maybe the tread can be replaced, IDK.As for the sizing, I know it sounds strange, but both previous contradicting reviews regarding the sizing are true. I guess that's what is considered a paradox. Here's the problem...they don't make a half-size, so if you are a 9.5, the Euro 43 is too snug. You should get a 44, and if you are a 10, you should also get a 44. I wear a 9.5 in some shoes, and 10 in others. I tried on the 43 and it was way too snug by at least 1/2 size. I ended up getting the 44 which is actually 1/2 size too big. According to the international shoe size conversion table, a 43 is a 9.0 and a 44 is 10.5 WTH? Go figure. If not for this ridiculous shoe sizing, I would have rated this 5 stars. It's two years later...still wearing these muggs. The color has gotten a bit faded, but I purchased some ECCO brand shoe wax (which they don't sell at Amazon), looks like new! The only problem with these shoes, once the spikes wear out, they are not replaceable. My solution was to purchase: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00D3LAZ9O/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2JNKSEKE2PEG5&coliid=I2ADTRRW7XUOGJ I molded my own, and super glued them on. Works perfectly. Better than letting $180 pair of shoes go to waste. Once in awhile, one pops off from all the torque I get from my 300 yd driver (not). I just mold another one and I'm ready for the next round! I think I'm going to be wearing these until I retire. I have friends who buy a new pair of another brand (Nike) golf shoes every season, because they are cheaply made, they wear out quickly. One guy was putting his shoes on, and the tongue tore off. Another, has the sole splitting away from the shoe where the toe posts on the finish.
