Helped me confirm that it was indeed the cables i bought on amazon that was causing disconnections
I was scratching my head wondering why even though the cable passed the continuity test why my internet kept dropping. I tested the cable connecting my ONT to my Router and confirmed there were breaks in the middle of the etherent line depending on how the cable flexed. I replaced the ethernet cable with a more robust one that came with my 10gbe network card and my internet has not dropped once since. It really was the cable the whole time. The length tester is hands down the most indispensible feature of this tester. It's more than half the price of a similar fluke tester but does the job plenty good for a hobbiest home networking guy like me. Continuity test is no longer enough, I'll be checking every cable i get from now on with this tester! The UI is super easy to use on the tester, easy to navigate. The backlight is perfect and the display has pretty good viewing angles for those moments you're contorted in the attic trying to check cables. USB C for recharging is also really great. The digital toning feature was kinda hard to use and felt useless vs the analog one which was much easier to use to identify cable runs. The only thing, and i won't deduct a star for this, the earbuds in the photo were not in my kit :(

Good value, works well.
I've had good luck with this so far and I'm pleased with the very fair price. I consider the USB-C charging (for *both* Tx and Rx units) well worth the small upgrade cost from the next model down in their line. Mine did arrive with the receiver (Rx) unit turned on and its battery stone-cold dead. But once charged, everything works as advertised. The controls are simple and intuitive and the display backlight very helpful. In my experience, tools like this typically get used in poorly lit, overcrowded closets. I can't attest to the precision of the distance test, but I know it's reasonably close at my backbone length of around 75 ft (~23m). Even a +/- 5% is very useful for troubleshooting in my setting. One word of advice: They provide a USB-C cable but you're supplying your own charger. I was unable to charge using a 'smart' charger (e.g., Anker IQ). Apparently it only wants an older-style 5V supply. In general, this is something to be aware of with a many devices on the market. I made the mistake of recharging a dive computer with the included cable connected to my own 9V-capable Samsung charger and melted the plastic housing. Not every mfr. implements the necessary circuitry for the smart chargers to correctly detect and adjust. At least in this case, connecting an inappropriate charger PREVENTED charging which might have caused some damage. As such, this is not a con. Another thing to be aware of is that it's very easy to switch between tests and forget to move your cable. There are different RJ45 jacks for different functions. I'm embarrassed to admit how many times I did this. Slow learner, apparently.

Works good
Was wiring up a house with cat6. This thing did everything i tried, continuity, ringing the lines etc. For the money, it's good, but longevity is unknown. The only thing that seemed not perfect was ringing or finding lines as I had to try few times to make sure I had the right line but maybe it was just me using it for first time. Was thinking about getting the klinecs this but chose this for the feature that you can check if your crimp is good on single end. Don't think kline has that one but not sure

Bad toner, don't buy
Really bad toner. Have used it for data, worked good. Recently i was trying to use it for toning speaker to make sure they work, wouldn't work. Was a bit embarassing, we were in a time constrain to tests/troubleshoot speaker home runs for a new building connected to old building. The speaker guy had to bring out his fluke toner since this one wouldn't tone. So even though the fluke toner is old, but it's much more reliable than this. Don't get why they can't make a good toner meant to tone everything. Instead they make a toner that only works for some systems. Also the actual toner is a bad design, it drains the battery when in the toner holder, the toner wheel turns and turns it on. No physical switch. Poor design.

Works great!
This is my first time upgrading from an old-school cable tester with 4 blinking lights. So far I've used the continuity tester on ground shielded Cat6a, the length calculator, and the digital wire finder. This unit is awesome!

Great to find breaks in cabling
Picked this up to test the runs in our new home office and it’s been a solid tool. It checks cable continuity, pin mappings, measures length, and even detects PoE — very handy. The LED “port flash” feature makes tracing cables super easy. My only minor gripe: the user interface took a minute to get used to, but once dialed in it’s saved me a lot of guesswork. Easy to read screen and tough outer shell make this very durable and easy to use.

Toner works too well
I have been using this at work to tone and track Cat6, with POE..The toner works rather well..I set it to Digital and have found every cable..With Analog toner you pick up a lot of Noise in the cable..With the Digital tone, there is no noise..I have used the POE test, that works..Also the port flashing is a big help..This over all works great for the price...

Length Measurement Accuracy Questionable
Basic functionality is fine but the TDR Length measurement is pretty inaccurate.
