One of the true watch bargains in the world! Sounds a touch over the top? Not a bit of it. A superbly well built stainless steel watch, made by one of the most renowned watch manufacturers, Casio. Millions of timepieces are made by this manufacturer, from the £10 digital classic F91W, probably the highest ever selling digital watch, to G Shocks costing in excess of £8000! This dive style watch is rated to 200 metres water resistant, which I have no doubt it will achieve. It has a three year battery, with replacements that can be bought for well under a pound and very easily swapped. The machining of the case is of a standard expected well beyond its price. The case has a screwdown back and crown and the dial is finished to a very high standard with a gorgeous subtle radial texture. Although the stated total dial and bezel size is 44mm, which might sound big, it wears well for most, due to the relatively short lug to lug distance of 49 mm. With classy polished sides and brushed upper case finishes, this watch can be dressed up with a quality classic strap or dressed down with a canvas or silicon curved end band. To finish off, I’ve found that this great dive watch is ultra accurate. I received mine on the 7th October and it’s gained just one second, today, the 16th December……incredible. Incidentally, this watch is known as a dive ‘style’ only due to the fact that to gain full Diver watch qualification means that every single watch produced, has to be tested to ISO 6425 certification. Even Casio can’t sell a watch that costs approx. £50 and still make a profit whilst carrying out these tests. There are many ISO divers out there that will never take the abuse that this little gem can. If you’ve ever had this watch on your shortlist, just buy it, it’s fabulous and it has a great following all over the globe.

The purchasing process was excellent, the watch arrived 3 early from the States I believe. The watch itself is superb, I've seen review criticising the strap but actually I like it and it's better than many resin/rubber straps I've used before. The face is easily legible and the styling though plain is classic. The second hand alignment with the watchface isn't perfect but I've seen worse on more expensive watches. The case is solid and quite heavy and I expect the watch to be rugged though be aware the crystal is only mineral glass so will scratch though I've seen Youtube showing that sapphire replacements are easy to obtain and with the appropriate equipment or your local friendly watchmaker, easily installed. I may replace the crystal with a sapphire one if it gets badly scratched. I'm very pleased with my purchase, worth every penny. I've already bought a 22mm replacement leather strap though I may only use this occasionally as I like the resin strap and obviously its impervious to water (I often wear my watch in the shower). In short the watch is superb, don't hesitate, buy one you won't regret it. For what it's worth I actually own a 1980's "James Bond" TAG Heuer 1000 dive watch (I bought it new in 1988) and this Casio isn't far behind it in quality and cost far less than the service of my TAG Heuer.

I was surprised by the quality (quite heavy and solid), style and (good) size of the watch. It’s an absolute bargain for a diver watch with 200m water resistance. I have other similar but much more expensive diver watches and this takes some beating.

The best affordable dive watch money can buy! The rubber strap is a beautiful design, very rugged and in good light the black even sparkles, inside is Casio's very reliable 2784 quartz movement that takes a SR626SW battery if ever you need to replace, the dial has a fantastic sunburst effect and dances in the light and the contrasting colours are gorgeous. Without a doubt my favourite watch that Casio has made and unlike the newer MDV107 this has the iconic marlin in the dial and caseback, the lume is fantastic with a pip at the 12 mark and the rotating bezel has a nice feel to it, screw down crown with hacking movement means you can precisely adjust time, Great value and was also delivered a few days earlier than planned! 10/10

Really well put together watch for the money. Nicely designed, simple uncluttered face. Very accurate, tough and good for every day wear. I would not wear it to go out for dinner, or to a function, but this is not what the watch was intended for. Its an attractive easy to see diver's watch that does what it says on the tin. A truly fit for purpose watch at an astonishing price. What more do you want? It also is far more accurate than a mechanical, and because of its meagre cost you are not going to worry about it too much. Consequently, it will probably end up being your daily wearer leaving any other more expensive alternatives as just plain unnecessary. I find that this Casio has a constant place amongst my luxury and vintage watches and spends far more time on my wrist than any of my much more expensive watches precisely because of its comfort and functionality. One last thing! This watch is remarkably light, despite great construction and good looks and after a few minutes you hardy know you have it on. Always essential in any wristwatch. buy one! Superbe montre, belle, fiable, étanche ( à 200m!) et solide: Qualité Casio! Le tout pour un prix serré Elle a mis un peu de temps à arriver des USA, pour cause de délais de dédouanement, mais j'étais informé régulièrement de son statut. Je possède également le modèle identique sans le marlin et donc encore moins chère, que j'avais malheureusement rayé dans une chute de vélo à laquelle mon poigné, lui, n'a pas résisté. D'où ce nouvel achat. Merci Amazon!

I just received the watch, it's even more beautiful on the wrist, easy to adjust and read the time. It could have a magnifying lens over the date, but the design is very nice. It seems to be of very good quality. The rubber strap seemed a little too rigid; we'll see how long it will withstand the repetitive opening and closing motion. In any case, there's a compatible steel strap available for this model on Amazon for $15.00, so when I have to replace it, it will only be once. The manual doesn't provide any instructions on how to unlock the crown for date/time adjustment. It seems quite simple and obvious, but you just need to turn it counter-clockwise until you feel the crown is loose, then pull it out. The first click adjusts the date and the second click the hours. Excellent purchase, a very beautiful watch.

TL,DR: Just get it, you know you want to, and she's a real beauty, ooooh yes! :) Thanks to all the other reviewers, company photos help, of course, but personal photos and comments and videos have convinced me progressively and I finally clicked the Buy button when it went on sale :) Oh boy, am I happy! She's beautiful, really beee-u-teee-full! A bit big but not too much, a bit of weight but not too much, superb quality, finish is perfect, brushed and reflective parts are perfect, soooonice! I'm used to 20-25 years ago standards, when watches for men were smaller, my daily driver is a 35 mm (10 to 4), and about 8 mm thick Wenger. This Casio Marlin is about 44 mmm (10 to 4) and about 12 mm thick and I find it perfectly fine and confortable (all approximate measurements here, with a simple ruler aligned with my eyes, not a caliper, but it gives proportions :)) Finish is really impressive, and I'm a sucker for minor defaults :) I really love the reflections, subtle and perfectly regularly done, really above its price category. Not a second early or late in weeks, everything's fine. Easy to adjust, easier if you push straight while using the flanges as support to prevent the hand from moving a bit with the "clic"and not being properly aligned: thanks to the reviewer who gave this hint, it works (and I really *need* hands to be perfectly aligned with markers :)) Original black plastic strap is fine, really, but I just prefer steel bracelet (old habit), so I'm waiting for mine, ordered the same day, but it just moved a bit in China, so it might be a moment before I see it :) Watch delivered a day late, and the enveloppe was flat and the box was a bit crushed, not enough to damage the watch, but not good for a present... OK for me... as the present was from me to me! :) For the slight delay, Amazon automatically credited approximately the same amount as the delivery fees, without any action from me, so no complaint here :) Really, if you've done your homework, you've seen all the Amazon and YouTube reviews, and you *know* you have to get one... just do it, you won't regret it! Even better if you can catch a promo price :) It's all you've seen and heard, and even a bit more when you open the package, you'll feel the "Ooooh... woooow, yeeeees" inside :) I still feel it every day, as I put it on display where I can glance at her discretely anytime I'm in the sofa (don't tell my girlfriend!)
