What are the dimensions of the 300W version please?

8.5" long x 4" wide x 2.5" long. and it does produce a pure  sine wave, I checked it with my oscilloscope. Beware of cheaper inverters that boast a pure sine wave: I first bought one for £25 and it knackered my old transistor radio. When I checked that one, it was producing a modified sine wave i.e a square wave or block formation. With a 65 watt load, the Bestek takes 5.7 amps from the battery.

Does it have a built in fuse that can be changed if blown? or if i wire it straight to my car battery, do i need to install a 30a inline fuse?

If you connect directly to a battery simply install a 30 amp inline fuse on the power cable and you’ll never blow the internal fuse 👍

What are the dimensions of this item? Does it come with cables to attach to a battery?

6.25" x 3.75" x 2"    It comes, as illustrated, with a  plug to go into your car cigarette lighter. I wanted to run this off a battery, so cut off the plug with enough lead on the plug that , by plugging it into a car socket, I could ensure I got the polarity right.. With a 65waat load, the invert draws 5.7 amps, and it is a pure sine wave, it will run a music centre, radio etc without any problem.

Would this work with my laptop charger, which is 230watts?

Yes it will without a problem.  Be aware that the unit is plastic so uses a fan to keep it cool meaning if you're pulling 230watts(this seems quite high for a laptop and is probably a peak power rather than continuous), you'll have constant fan noise at 230w - it's not massively loud, but it might be distracting.  Maybe just go for a 12v dc-dc adapter instead?   Ours is enclosed under the bed in our camper and it's still audible when delivering just 100watts.  still a great product though
