8.5'' Digital Atomic Clock with Indoor Outdoor Temp, Auto DST

Nice, big readout. Unit has all the necessary information displayed. Hangs on the wall or sits on a solid surface. Works as expected.

The clock is an attractive addition to my kitchen counter. It was easy to set up. It keeps time accurately. The clock is smaller than my old one, but the numbers are larger and easier to read from across the room. It appears to keep accurate outdoor temperature, but I have nothing to compare to it.

Looks nice, keeps good time. Very easy to set, indoor/outdoor temps are accurate. Has a nice size and can see it easily from across the room. Quiet operaration, can be used as either a wall or desk clock.

Big Numbers, Good!. But difficult to read from 10 ft if positioned on top of a TV cabinet, 6 ft or more. Wished the "second" readout was a larger.

Our original 'Atomic Clock' worked well until it didn't and this was a welcome economical replacement. Easier to read the time from across the room. The instructions were clear so setting up the outdoor temp sensor and syncing the clock was a snap. It is a very nice appearing unit - we were able to pick a very nice one for our decor. Still going on the original battery, so can't comment on battery life yet.

Oct 2024 Update: The new clock the company sent me appears to be working a lot better than the one I originally got so I have increased the stars to 5. It is not completely glitch free but we haven't had anywhere near as many problems with it as we did with the first one AND the glitches are no worse than what we had with our 2 previous atomic clocks made by other companies. I now believe the first one was probably just a defective clock and this one is more representative of the clocks quality. As stated below this company reached out to me after reading my review and replaced the clock that was no longer eligible for return due to the time that had passed. That says to me they stand behind their product making this clock worth purchasing.March 2024 Update: The company contacted me after reading my review in an effort to try & resolve the problem. After their suggested fixes didn't work, they offered to send me a new clock, free of charge, in the hope that the first one was just defective. It is so rare anymore to find a company that actually tries to make sure their customer is happy. I will come back & update this review again once we have the new clock and have given it a few months to make sure it works properly.Love the look of this clock, love how big the numbers are and how easy it is to read everything even at a distance. With that said, all that is great as long as the clock keeps the correct information on its display. This is not our first Atomic clock, it is our 3rd, but it is the first one that has had this issue. We hung it in the exact same place the others were hung. However this one, on several occasions, has jumped ahead to a different date and time when it did its updating. Unfortunately, the first time it happened we thought it was a one time thing and that it would be fine but it has done it several times now, of course well after the return date has expired. While it is a relatively easy fix, you just have to move it to a window and leave it there until it corrects itself, you shouldn't have to do that at all, at least not multiple times. Since we can't return it we will live with it for now but I will not buy this brand again and I would never give it to someone as a gift. Our previous clock was a Panasonic and we will probably go back to one of them when we decide we have had enough of this one and its issue.

I bought one 12.5" and three of their 8.5" clocks replace three aging ten year old weather stations that do not have the Atomic clock function. I also bought one of their 12.5" same clock just larger.Since they have no lights, they can't be seen in the dark. That is the trade-off for not having to plug them in and when wall mounted not having that ugly wire hanging down. Battery only and no wires hanging out of them to a plug. However, for our home offices and kitchen where we always gave the lights on or have good daylight they are perfectSetup is a breeze. The display is large and well laid out. It also looks professional not cheap looking and like a cheap gimmicky gadget. These look clean and well built.I am now looking for one last one for our bedroom that plugs in and lights up.The Atomic clock DST function was confusing at first I just set it manually for MST, and I turned on WWSV search auto for WWSV region, then you'll see Auto DST under the Time zone tower icon in the display.and mine connected almost immediately, left them overnight and voila, they connected and are now keeping time corrected every night three times I think nightly. Now I need one more that lights up and can be seen in the dark for the bedroom with inside and outside temps and for that it will have to plug in.These pics are in my shop with the 12.5"

So far,so good. However, my experience with these clocks regardless of manufacturer, is that the remote temperature sensor craps out in about 4-6 months. They seem to not like being outside even though that’s where they are supposed to go. I’ll try to remember to update this review around Feb-March 2027

a good clock

This is a great clock. Keeps good time and the weather is accurate. We needed one to replace an old national geographic one that we had for 20 years and this one is doing the trick. I can see the time from over 10 feet away because the numbers are thick and big which is important to us. It hangs with one middle hook which we also wanted as we did not want to put three holes in our wall so it fits exactly where the other one was so that as convenient. The only thing is that my husband had to do a bit of adjustment for the outdoor sensor as the hanger part was too small to fit the existing nail but all good.

Aside from being practical, this clock really looks nice. I'm using it as a wall clock and it complements the room. The display is easy to read. It has a wide angle of view, you can even read it from the side. The smaller font date and temperature are even readable from 20 feet. Even in dim light, everything is readable. Upon installing the batteries, within 5 minutes, it synced with the atomic clock. It's within 1 second with my phone clock. The signal is strong and constant. I live in Toronto, Canada, and the clock is located in the basement and also far from the window. The indoor and outdoor temperature sensors are consistent with each other when placed close. The difference is no more than 0.5 degrees. I haven't installed the sensor outside as of this writing. I like that this clock runs on batteries, so no cord that ruins the look. Not to mention that it has low battery warning, for both the clock and the outdoor sensor. The manual is clear and comprehensive. I'm happy I chose this atomic clock among so many. It's definitely 5 stars .. so far.UPDATE:To those who are not getting accurate temperature from the outdoor sensor -- it's location, location, location! Read on ...So, I've installed the sensor outside. I stuck it horizontally under the upper member of the window frame to protect it from the elements. I observed the readings for days. I found that the reading is higher than the actual temperature (based on Weather.com). If the temperature is above freezing, the difference is 2-3 degree C. If it's below that, it gets worse. I was very disappointed, and I wanted to change my rating from 5 to 3 stars. But I thought, maybe it's because of its proximity to the window (which is normally warmer since it's heated by interior of the house), and to the ground (since it's a basement window). So, instead, I hung it on the wire fence, which is 4 feet away from the window (not too far to get good reception) and 4 feet above the ground. And voila, I'm getting the right temperature now ! Or at least, within 0.5 degrees C. Since now it's exposed to the elements, I put tape on all gaps, except for the sensor opening, over which I put a hood. I'm still getting the right temperature. It will get only little sun since it's located in the narrow gap between houses. Still, I will observe the effect during high noon. So, I'm keeping the 5 stars. I hope others will learn from this.

Easy to set up. Numbers large enough to read from across the room.
