that is correct, make sure to buy a headset with the aptx-ll and not just aptx or the mic won't work.

Will this work with a bose ae2w headset to ps4?

I have found that it works on a PS4 and will pair with a Jaybird X2. I can't guarantee that it will work with the Bose ae2w.

Most likely, the headphone that they are using doesn't support Fastream or Aptx-LL voice back which is needed in order to use the mic function of the BT-W2.

Would this work with sony wh-1000xm2 and xm3?

Hi! Tried to use Sony WH-1000XM3 with Creative BT-WT3. They work together, but I spend a lot of time to get why my headphones connect only over SBC. The headphones has "Sound Quality Mode" settings with the following options: 1) "Priority on Sound Quality" 2) "Priority on Stable Connection" If you using the second option, they will connect over SBC only, and you can't change codec. However, if you will choose the first option, you can connect over aptX (green led)
