CD-60 Dual Laser Distance Meter

The ability to simply hold the device anywhere within the space to be measured and get an accurate distance is a gamechanger for me. I don't have to clear a path to a wall - except line of sight. In a cluttered space I can hold it up on or near the ceiling and get accurate length and width in seconds. Measuring distances to an outside corner is made simple by employing a small piece of wood, or a hand in a pinch, or the mode can be changed to measure in one direction, and from the front or rear of the unit. The device also has 5 triangle measurement modes which can be used to measure (among other things) the height of a structure at a distance. It can of course also be used to just measure angles. It does area, volume, and midpoints, as well as cumulative measurements. I appreciate the solid metal enclosure, which gives it some heft and substance, and the built-in magnet allows it to adhere to even thin sheet metal without sliding. The display is large and easy to read. My only complaint is that devices like this with only a few buttons do require reading the manual to figure out how to do certain, but that's not really that difficult, and the manual has some entertaining translations to keep things interesting.

This does what the ads says it does, works well, light, easy to read screen, and it’s easy to use and accurate. I brought one for my son who is just starting a tool box.

I came to Amazon to price shop the Bosch that "was on sale" at Home Depo. Only to find the Bosch was actually still cheaper on Amazon then their sale price. Just out of curiosity I decided to read reviews and picked up on someone making a reference to this one. So I started checking all the reviews and liked what I was reading since it offered so many more features. I've had it now for probably over 6 moths. I'm not needing it professionally so only use it here and their but I really like all the features. I haven't tried the fancier measurements or adding measurements to figure out sizes of rooms yet. I like the fact that I can measure a distance that included the length of this unit or not. I always do include it. What I really like is the dual laser. This is what I use most often along with the built in level. I'm in the AV and film industry. Many times I want to find the center of the room so the dual laser with this option was what won me over plus the positive reviews from contractors. When I've set up stage decking I can check to see if the top is level as well. I've only used the magnetic side once but it was another added feature. I rated it 4 because I still find it a bit complicated to use. i have to refer to the manual sometimes to figure out how to change it into the mode I want. On the other hand, the complications is due to the fact that it is such a powerful tool and i use it so infrequently. I really do like it.

Buy it. It’s great, accurate, decent size! I wish these did MM to for woodworking but that’s what conversions are for. For all other areas this item is great. I will update over time if battery fails and what kind of battery life you can expect ect. As of right now just been playing with it, unit does a lot, but the battery hasn’t budged yet. Let’s hope it lasts forever.

The laser meter is a useful tool for measuring anything, from windows to entire rooms, with various metric options available. It has a three-year warranty, which CIGMAN fulfilled when my unit broke down and they replaced it for free without asking me to send them the defective one.

Using this for CAD/BIM modeling dimensions. It works very well. The ability to take two measurements at once is awesome. Accuracy is great as well.

I inspect bridges for a living so I was excited about this thing for the dual direction functionality. I can measure the underclearance without putting it on a pole or having to crawl around on the ground, which sounded wonderful. And it does do a good job of that. But it has no range. Outside, even in the shade, the laser can't be seen or read beyond about 25 or 30 feet. It advertises a range of 120 m, but you won't get 10% of that outside. And because it doesn't have a camera, it is crucial to be able to see the laser. It's basically worthless outdoors. It also has no horizontal triangulation function. It has about 3 triangulation functions for measuring vertical distances, but if you want to measure the horizontal distance to something at a different level than yourself, you're out of luck. It does have an angle finder if you want to try to shoot a hypotenuse and do some math, but good luck accurately capturing the angle that you measured that hypotenuse at. Long story short, it was a huge letdown and I'm sending it back.

Use this product twice and no complaints. Study the manual well before using.

great tool

I recently measured a retail unit. And when I measured one long wall it was off by 20inches… wall was aprox 700” long I like this tool but it being off this much really makes me doubt every measurement it makes.
