This is the greatest gadget to keep the deer away from my fruit trees! I live in the upper midwest and really should bring these in the winter but they still seem to work with our -20 degree weather. The range is effective up to 15 ft. It's loud and if you move it around your yard, the deer don't get used to it. However, we did lose one to a raccoon b4 we got it wired to a T-post. Guess he didn't like the sound. These are very much worth the money. I've got 6 of them....big yard.

This baby would scare off anything from coyotes, to racoons, to burglars. Its like a SWAT team is hot on your tail. The sound is loud and clear, but can be turned lower if you have neighbors. Never fails to pick up motion. I now have two, but the first is still going strong over two years later, which is impressive. Total solar power, and never runs out of juice. Oddly, my dogs and chickens are not scared of this, but I've had no predator losses since buying the first one. Good investment.

Overview: They work well overall, but need a sensitivity setting and more customization. They sometimes do not work well in rain/fog. If it's a windy day/night, they're going to be sounding frequently. They really need a feature to upload your own sound since the recording option is just fair quality at best. Bluetooth/app functions would be a huge improvement. Details: We purchased a few of these since the deer keep eating all the flowers, even the buds and leaves. Sprays and granules and other methods have worked, but fade over time or with the weather. These work well most of the time unless it's rainy or foggy. The solar panels seem to keep them charged, so they don't need a power cord if you can't run one. They have three volume levels. We usually keep ours on medium so it's loud enough to scare the deer and keep them away, but quiet enough to not annoy the neighbors at all hours. We keep most of ours on night-only mode, but keep in mind that if you do that, they will not work early in the morning during sunrise when animals are still active! We do keep a couple on 24-hour mode, which will work all day, but it will go off when people walk by, cars drive by (40+ feet away) or even when birds are around. These really need a sensitivity setting to allow more customization, or better yet, since everything is "smart" these days, allow pairing with Bluetooth and an app to set multiple settings. I would love to be able to set high sensitivity between certain hours, then low or medium the rest of the time. If you can handle hearing these during the day, then it's worth it to keep the deer away. Otherwise, keep them on night-only mode. Lastly, the medium volume also cannot be heard much inside the house. We have ours only a few feet away from one of the windows and we can barely hear it inside with the window closed. I don't hear them at all at night, but the deer definitely do and they stay away! If these had more customization for settings (especially with an app), I'd happily give these 5 stars. There also is an option to make your own recording, but I find the default noise works well enough. I'd also like to have the option of just having the dogs barking sound without the gunshots. These also really need better programming to distinguish a vehicle vs an animal. Overall they help, but they have a lot of room for improvement.

This Motion Sensor Alarm worked great for us even in cold weather but not zero temps. You do have to charge it periodically but it stays charged a while. Gunna get another one here soon.

Terrible product. Don’t buy My most sensitive cat didn’t mind it. Raccoons passed by it like nothing. Aside false alarms regardless of the height and location. Trouble shooting indicates adjust sensitivity but instructions are not appropriate for item and manual has nothing about it.

Love this product. Keeps any animals from getting near your cars or on them. Battery lasts a long time before you have to recharge. Volume sound can be adjusted and it is quite loud on full setting. Can also record your own audio sound to play.

First off, as others have reported the prerecorded sound is a very loud gun shot followed by barking dogs. It will scare you even when you know what it is. There is only the one prerecorded sound. You can add your own recording via the built-in microphone. Then you can choose which of the recordings to use when it detects motion. We recorded dogs barking from a sound bite we played on our computer, which was much quieter than the very loud prerecorded gunshot and dogs. I'm sure our neighbors appreciate it! So now we set it up in our front yard and successfully tested it. A day later it was breezey out and all night long we could it going off as the plants moving in the wind triggered it. Well at least it wasn't terribly loud. A couple of days later, I triggered it as I walked by and instead of my recording, it played the loud gunshot and dogs. I just about cr@pp3d myself. It immediately switched back to my recording on the next trigger. So the negatives are that it triggers easy and occasionally plays the default recording. The pluses are that it stays charged via the built in solar panel and that it seems to be keeping the deer out of our yard. An occasional loud gunshot is the price I have to pay!

Wow it scared the life out of me, it keeps all cats and fox’s away as I heard them running from the noise. Brilliant

I have got the problem with the foxes coming to my garden everyday, and they are making mess everywhere. Which then I have to clean everytime. It's is a big headache to clean fox mess. Since I bought this alarm it does helping me to keep foxes away from my garden. It has got dog barking sound on it, which scares the foxes, that's how it's helping me to keep the foxes away from my garden. It has got a button which you can control the volume of the alarm. I will recommend this to everyone.
