Impractically Awesome
Really I thought I had no need for this, but I'm an English teacher and a bit of a nerd for retro items so I got it. Now, though, when I'm at my computer grading while my students work they can hear every clack of the keyboard and they know to quietly keep going with their work, as grades are incoming soon. The look, the feel, and everything about this makes me happy. They keys light up, or not, so you can make it as modern or as old fashioned looking as you like. My one small complaint is that the metal looking lever on the top left is plastic, and does nothing (or at least so far as I found out so far), but the faux paper feeder knows control volume on the computer which is a great touch. It is harder to type on than a regular computer keyboard, but with a little practice you get used to the difference in size and shape of the keys and it works great. I do wish it had a Num Pad on the right side as I keep reaching for it to type on and then remembering it isn't there, like a strange digital phantom limb, but I knew it didn't have one when I bought it and thought I wouldn't care, and I don't mind but it'd be nice have if possible on future models. I don't recommend it for people who don't love the tactile sensation of typing, but if you do love it, as I do, then I think you'll find it to quickly become your favorite keyboard ever.

I Wanted to Love It... - UPDATED!
Although I prefer keyboards with an extended numerical keyboard, I saw this and fell in love. I love another brand as well, but those keyboards are north of about $200. No bueno. When this arrived, I was not disappointed with the look. OF COURSE there's not real wood, but it has the look of wood. Because I'm a touch typist, I appreciate the raised knobs on the f and j keys, which keep me focused. The carriage knob for the sound is perfect, and that surprised me. No more searching the keyboard for the right volume key. So why don't I LOVE it the way I wanted? It's the backlight. Or, more accurately, the way the backlight refuses to cooperate. Sometimes I can get it to turn on, but more often than not, it'll just randomly turn off and not do anything. Or, it'll turn on. I know my house isn't haunted, so this is a little weird. Sometimes when it comes on, it's the racing lights which can be very distracting in a dark room. Ultimately, when I tried to adjust the lights with the "carriage return" during one of the keyboard's tantrums, it fell off in my hand. Ugh. I will return it and hope I can get an exchange. I obviously don't hate it, but sometimes, I just like for something to work. FWIW, I have a PC-oriented gaming keyboard with lots of lights that I use on my Mac Mini, and it works perfectly, whether I want crazy lights or just something soft in the background while I'm concentrating on the task. I wanted this keyboard because it's Mac-centric and I don't have to guess at the various control keys. I'll update with any hiccups or resolution. UPDATE! I updated to five stars because the replacement keyboard does everything promised. As I noted earlier, I love the clicky-click keys and for some reason, they allow me to type faster. I'm typing this using the keyboard onto my MacBook Air laptop. (I a laptop ever made a keyboard like this, I'd snatch one up immediately!) With this keyboard having the Mac keys clearly marked, it is so much easier to type without having to guess through the corresponding Windows keys. Mac users, take notice! Of course, the most important part in this situation is that the lights work! While I'm not sure of the rationale behind providing some of the odd patterns, the main thing is that I can now easily type in a room with dimmed lighting. The return/replace process was dead easy, and now I have the fully functional keyboard. Love it!

A Beautiful Throwback – Not Without Flaws, But Worth It
First of all, hats off to the designer—this keyboard is a work of art. I have the version with the wooden base, and it truly feels like something pulled straight out of the 1960s. I haven’t touched a manual typewriter since I was a child, but using this brings it all back. At first, I almost returned it. I couldn’t type three words without a typo. But it was too beautiful to give up on so quickly, so I committed to giving it a solid day. I’m glad I did—now I’m clicking away just fine, and it’s here to stay. That said, I’ll probably buy a wrist rest. I'm used to my hands lounging comfortably on my Logitech with full wrist support. This keyboard has none, and it sits quite high compared to modern designs. That’s not a flaw—it’s intentional and part of its old-school charm—but it’s worth noting. There is one real drawback if you hope to use this with an iPad: the tablet slot is not well-designed. It’s too shallow, and the back support is much too short for an iPad (at least for my 13 inch). My iPad either falls backward or tips the whole keyboard over. The only way I got it to stay was by using a thick, rubbery case that wedged it in tightly. Even then, I wouldn’t trust it outside a very stable environment—definitely not for use on a train or in a café. If you're planning to use this with an iPad, you’ll need a Mini or a clever workaround and not haul it around with you. Bluetooth pairing with my Mac was seamless. The backlighting is a fun touch, and the clicky keys are deeply satisfying. It’s definitely a fun little keyboard—equal parts nostalgia and conversation piece. Update one year later - Having purchased multiple mechanical keyboard, the this one and a gaming keyboard from this company are by far the two favorites in my collection. Also, the customer service is outstanding!

Novel keyboard
Absolutely adore the sounds that this keyboard makes. I typically prefer full sized keyboards and this is much smaller so adjusting to the tighter spread of keys is a learning experience. The keys feel nice, I can place my wrist in a comfortable position, the quality is incredibly good. However I exclusively use it wired as unplugging it isn't something I want to do every day. It has this latch on the side that you can pull and it will change the rgb colors which I find very nice. It has a decent range of color variations of white colors moving across the keyboard including an option that only lights up when keys are pressed.

love the look and feel. but wireless signal and wired connection useless
The quality of the keyboard was nice. I love the color. That more wood design with the keyboard. the backlight was great for the quality. Though the biggest issue I had was the connection. Would not keep a Bluetooth signal at all. would disconnect all the time. Wired connection would not work at all. showed it was charging while connected but would not work. so maybe i just had a defect

Noisy and lovely. Seems to work pretty good.
I like how clicky it is and you can set them up with multiple things. Also the light settings are pretty. Sometimes it has an issue with reconnecting, but with a little effort I've gotten it working well with my laptop and a tablet and even my phone (though it struggles the most with my phone, personally) Seems like the battery lasts a while, but I don't use this daily or anything so I'm not sure.

satisfying product from a company with real customer support!
Just what we wanted! My daughter loves writing novels and songs, and we thought this would be a fun way to make doing so on her iPad easier. Her bulky iPad case doesn't fit in the stand, but it works fine anyway (her case has a built-in stand). It's very attractive, and the colorful backlight options are fun. I couldn't initially figure out how to sync with Bluetooth, but the instructions here in the product listing were clear (I just had to turn the iPad off and back on), and once we synced it that first time, we haven't had to do it again (we've been using it about three weeks). The sound of typing on typewriter-style keys is SOO satisfying! I'm convinced she focuses longer due to it, and I love walking by and hearing it. We had a minor issue with the backlight setting getting stuck, and the company went above and beyond to make it right with quick email responses and ultimately replacing the product.

great value of Retro Typewriter Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
Great value for the price. This keyboard has a really nice retro, typewriter-style look that stands out, and the materials feel solid and well-made for what you pay. It doesn’t feel cheap at all and actually has a nice weight and finish to it. And yes, if you’re wondering about the dust on mine — that’s just proof I use it every single day because it’s that good.

Fell in love
I bought this retro typewriter keyboard because apparently my subconscious has decided that what my life really lacked was the ability to feel like a 1940s war correspondent while replying to WhatsApps about compliance meetings. Reader, I regret nothing. The moment I opened the box, I half expected Hemingway to appear behind me holding a whisky and demanding tighter prose. The keyboard looks less like a peripheral and more like it belongs in the office of a slightly unstable detective who solves murders between jazz sets. The build quality is absurdly good. Heavy. Clicky. Gloriously theatrical. Every keystroke sounds like a tiny legal declaration. You do not “send an email” anymore. You issue correspondence. Preferably while wearing tweed. I connected it to my laptop and instantly became 17% more opinionated on geopolitics and 42% more likely to begin sentences with: “Per my previous telegram…” The typewriter lever on the side serves absolutely no meaningful modern function whatsoever, which naturally makes it my favourite feature. Pulling it after finishing a sentence gives the same emotional satisfaction as stamping APPROVED on a government file in 1956. There are side effects. My normal keyboard speed has dropped from “investment banker under deadline” to “Victorian novelist trapped in candlelight”. But every sentence now feels handcrafted by artisanal keyboard monks in a walnut forest somewhere. Colleagues who walked past my desk stopped, stared, and asked: “Does that thing actually work?” which is the modern equivalent of peasants seeing a steam engine for the first time. The clicking noise is magnificent. Not subtle. Not polite. This keyboard does not whisper productivity. It announces it to the entire floor like a cavalry charge. Potential buyers should know: • You will immediately begin writing longer emails. • You will develop irrational confidence. • Simple meeting notes will start sounding like declarations from the East India Company. • You may refer to your office as “the study”. • You will absolutely judge people with silent membrane keyboards. Would I recommend it? Unequivocally yes. In an age where every piece of technology looks like a depressed black rectangle designed by accountants, this keyboard arrives like a caffeinated time traveller carrying walnut wood, chrome, and glorious nonsense. Five stars. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to draft a strongly worded memorandum to someone who forgot to attach the PDF.

Regalo ideal
