I keep this plugged in for peace of mind so I cannot comment on battery but my cat and I love this foundation. It turns off when the water is too low. I don’t have to fill it to the top for it to function (important because I don’t need to waste water - I need to replace the filters before my single cat household drinks up a full tank of water - so I fill it only halfway). So easy to clean due to its shape, the minimal and intuitive parts, the tools provided, and because there is no cord to worry about. I love popping the lid into the dishwasher! The pump runs quietly and there is just enough water movement to keep my cat interested but not for it to be too noisy. And…my cat loves to drink from it.

Let me start by saying, I used to think this type of device was ridiculous and never imagined myself buying one willingly. Having said that, one of my cats basically refuses to drink water unless it’s moving, which means she would ignore the dish of perfectly clean fresh water and would then try to knock you over any time you turned on the tap to wash your hands/dishes/etc. I have young children so wanted something that didn’t have to be plugged in all the time. This product had some good reviews and fit the bill. The motion feature works quickly enough that the cats aren’t confused waiting for it to turn on. The battery life on the base is ok. Im usually charging it about once a week or so? I wish the basin was stainless and not just the top. , but other than that I have no complaints. I also appreciate that you get two filter setups so it’s easy to switch and doesn’t render the fountain out of commission when it’s time to clean (which is also easy to do). Overall a great product and worth the money.

EASE OF CLEANING: A Game Changer This is by far the easiest pet fountain I’ve ever used. The difference-maker is the cordless pump. I no longer have to lie on the kitchen floor or contort myself to reach an awkward wall outlet behind shelves. I simply lift the bowl, carry it to the sink, and start cleaning. The entire process—from picking it up to scrubbing, rinsing all the pieces (including the pump), and reassembly—takes less than five minutes (I'm know this because you are supposed to soak the new filter for five minutes, and I’m always done before the timer on the soaking goes off.) With two cats, I used to clean it every two weeks; now, with two cats and two smallish dogs, I clean it weekly. SUPER QUIET: Nearly Silent I would actually call it silent. I never hear it running unless the water level is getting low, at which point a gentle motor sound reminds me to refill it. VERSATILE POWER OPTIONS: Battery or Wall Plug I personally plug this unit in to keep the water running full time. The great part is that if I wanted to place it somewhere away from an outlet, I have the option to run it on a rechargeable battery. INCREASED WATER INTAKE: A Hit with My Pets My elderly cat is fascinated with the flowing water, which has noticeably increased her water intake. She especially loves it if I pop an ice cube or two into the tray! AESTHETIC APPEAL: Not "Butt-Ugly" The design is clean, modern, and fits well in my kitchen decor. ________________________________________ Suggestion for the Manufacturer A Minor Improvement for the Next Version: My one suggestion for PETLIBRO is to add a clear viewing window or level indicator bar to the front of the unit to make it easier to see the water level at a glance. As mentioned, the unit makes a slight motor hum when the water is getting low, but I'd prefer to refill it before it reaches that point.

I did some heavy research on fountains before purchasing this one. We've had it for about 4 months now. All three of our cats use it multiple times a day and ignore the water bowls in the other rooms. The indicator light blinks red when it needs water, and the charger light blinks white when it needs charging. The first time you charge it, it takes about 6-8 hours, but subsequent charges take less time. The charge does indeed last a very long time. And the turn-on sensor is pretty accurate. I just wish it lasted more than 43 seconds (odd amount of time). I frequently have to wave my arm in front of it while my cats are mid-drink to keep it coming out of the spout (they all drink longer than 43 seconds!) If not, they drink from the bowl part instead of the spout. We only feed dry cat food in our house, so the cats drink a lot of water. This fountain works great and is reasonably priced. It's easy to clean, and the charging cord is super long so you can leave it on the floor while charging and the cats can still drink. Would recommend.

So, first, my 4 star rating is due to my two 1 year old cats destroying it and turning it into a play thing. It simply isnt big enough for them, and they move it and dump it over, spilling the water everywhere. It is quite, I can not hear it working at all, it is very nice and easy to clean and refill. I used the battery function a few times, but my cats where not please that they couldn't get more water, they are greedy. The battery option worked fine, turned off until the cats came around, however, if they sat there too long, it would turn off, and then cat mayhem, This puts out a decent supply of water and there is plenty of it for a happy, un-terroristic cat.

Great and needed piece obviously but too expensive They are taking the p**** with their prices as you need to use a lot of filters so very costly

Love that the pump is cordless as cords in water fountains tend to get slimy easily. Very quiet especially when it's on the bubbling mode. One minus point is the filter cover is very hard to remove. Had to pull it open with quite a bit of force and I was afraid of breaking it! Petlibto should look into improving the design of the filter cover

Hi, I wasn't aware I could have this refunded after use. My cats constantly tip it over, yet the round one I had never got tipped over. I only wanted this one because it can be used with no electric cord. So I bought a big pot $60 to make sure they can't tip it over, forgetting it needs to have the sensors visible to work. So now it's plugged back in and a total waste of the cost of the fountain and pots and plants. Please contact me if this can be refunded as it is useless to me.

Tengo 4 fuentes de diferentes marcas que usan los mismos filtros, tres afuera de la casa y una adentro, todas funcionan muy bien y sin problemas, pero tengo que tenerlas conectadas a la pared. Siempre tengo que buscar dónde poder conectarlas o buscar extensiones y eso siempre un problema con los cables. La ventaja de esta fuente es que una vez que cargas las baterías, la colocas donde gustes sin necesidad de tenerla conectada. Y las baterías se recargan rápido y duran más de un mes sin necesidad de recarga. Mis gatos ya están acostumbrados a estas fuentes, solo vieron que la puse, fueron a verla, funcionó el sensor de movimiento, salió el agua y bebieron inmediatamente. Nada de "periodo de adaptación." Ésta la compré para usarla en el interior de la casa. Es elegante, combina con cualquier tipo de decoración, cabe en cualquier parte, no hace nada de ruido y es muy fácil de armar e instalar. Muy buena compra. Si hay que ponerle un "pero" sería el precio pero el ser inalámbrica lo vale. Poder ponerla donde sea sin buscar un enchufe tiene muchas ventajas. Y quizá otra "desventaja" sea el precio de los filtros que son un poco más caros que los demás pero tampoco es mucha la diferencia. Muy recomendable.
