This Mixed Onion Set of 50 'baby' onion or bulbs, is used to grow Early Green Table Onions and Large Dry Onions. These grow best in a fertile soil that is well drained. A window box or container can be used if you do not have a garden. Always plant these in full sun. || To grow Green Table Onions from this set you will need to Plant Set With Roots Down In A Row With Sets As Close As Possible To Each Other and 2-3 Inches Deep. Deep Planting Produces More White Edible Stems. Delicious, High Quality Onion Will Be Ready For Harvesting Within 3 to 4 Weeks. || To grow Large Dry Onions plant in a row 3 inches apart and only deep enough so top is barely covered or just visible. Late in summer when leaves have withered, dig up onions and allow to dry in the open air for a few days. Preserve the onions indoors in a cool dry place. || Review: Onions - I planted half the onion sets & they are growing beautifully in my garden. Review: Soft soil needed. - Well they will grow. It's now 5/16/26 and I put them into some dirt last week and I have green shoots up everywhere I put them. Soil should be softer soil. You don't want it to compact hard. This will slow the growth of the onions. Just like potatoes you want room for them to grow into. Hard soil won't let them grow. Add sand or peatmoss or what ever let's soil stay soft wherever your at. In a few weeks I should be able to enjoy fresh onions. I pick as I need them. Ensuring fresh onions all summer.

Decent but not taking off quite as well this year.
Only about a 50-60% success rate with these this year unfortunately. Not sure if it’s the product or the crazy heat waves we’ve had this summer but we lost some before they even started and then about half are just stunted currently. The ones that are taking off are doing well but we shall see. Please note I did NOT soak overnight before planting this year like I’ve done in the past and that may be something that made a difference.

Bad quality & not what is shown !!! Don't buy !!
Not as ordered... Mostly all red onion sets and a large amount were all dried up and not useable!! I feel like I got the end of what they had and I received crap !!! Very disappointed !!! Poor quality

Coming up nicely
Planted them recently and they are coming up nicely. The wife always has green onions on the grocery list if I don’t have a crop growing at the time. We live in Florida, so you can grow them practically year round, so I don’t have much of an excuse to not have some growing outside, ready and waiting.
