Seed Packet Bell Pepper 'Sweet Cal Wonder'

So I actually had a high success rate of germination with these seeds. BUT, I didn’t use a good grow light so my seedlings ended up all failing. I’m pretty sure the issue was light because they germinated really well.

Took like 4 weeks to sprout granted I’m growing indoors my apartment. And didn’t use a warming pad. Fingers crossed I don’t kill it

Do not buy! Single mother here who wanted to grow my own food and bought these seeds but not one grew anything. I bought multiple seed varieties from this brand and planted them each using different methods and soils and still nothing!!! Bought a different brand and no problem. I was so disappointed.

These peppers tasted so good! I am working on getting a green thumb because I have a brown one currently 😂 I haven’t killed these peppers. They are tiny, but my husband believes it’s because I didn’t space them out enough when transferring outside after I grew from the seed inside.

Immediately upon receipt, I went to work, planting these seeds. Although I'd bought countless Bells from HEB and WALMART, recently, no matter what I do, vines may grow, but they'll never sprout a pepper. This is true for all GMO fruit and veggies. The seeds are bred to never reproduce so that you cannot use their seeds, thereby keeping you from self-sufficiency. That does not appear to be the case here, but I will not know until end of September. My only issue here so far, is the seed count. In years past, you'd buy seeds and tgmhe packet would contain one hundred or more seeds. Because the nature and DNA of seeds are widespread and unreleased, it is necessary to produce a harvestible fruit or vegetable. Indeed, the price is as low as the seed count. A few things I'm looking out for as evidence of quality. ¹ Will they grow at all ² are the vines gaining girth ³ the quality of the vegetables at harvest ⁴ the seed count and quality of the second generation and beyond. So, it is not possible to give a full review (up to 5-stars) without an update. I will update in late September, 2025 (planted July 21). From there, I will update and comment on any second generation I can produce. The seller needs to increase the seed count to at least double, even if raising the price by 10%. I purchased a similar product at tge same time with 108 seeds for just 1.60 more. Disclosure: I am a designated, professional reviewer.

I planted these a while back and I have my first bell peppers that look amazing! Can't wait until they are vine ripened to eat them!
