Philips Airfryer 5000 Series XXL, 7.2L (1.4Kg) - 6 portions, 16-in-1 Airfryer, Wifi connected, 90% Less fat with Rapid Air Technology, HomeID app (HD9285/91)

This is our 3rd Philips air-fryer bought over the years and definitely our favorite. The 500XXL 7.2L is a perfect size for my wife and I offering great value for money and very easy to use and clean. Pres-select options are offered on the device with the bonus being the air fryer app offered on the Philips HomeID central hub app which is brilliant. Loads of great recipes and you can link your device to the air fryer app. Fabulous appliance!

I ordered this Philips XXL airfyer as I feel comfortable buying a product with the Philips name rather than an unknown branded one. It was actually a lot larger than I thought it was which is fine, I just need to find somewhere to store it when not in use. I tried sausage and bacon for breakfast, the sausages cooked well although the bacon went a bit crusty at the end but probably my own fault with the timings. The next day I've tried chips and southern fried chips. I tried frozen chips which actually were amazing and so soft inside and I also tried freshly cut French fries amd realised that when you make those u need to spray some oil on them. Without the oil they went quite brown but stayed fluffy inside. Cleaning the air fryer was so easy, the basket and the tray I found are better being washed straight after you have served your food and they then come up very clean with some soapy hot water. I did manage to connect the air fryer to the Internet and my phone via the app although the second time I used it the app says the air fryer is disconnected so this is something I need to look into more. I havent as yet tried the programmes on the air fryer or via the app but I will update the review when I do. So far though I'm very happy with my choice of the Philips and especially as at the time of purchase it was reduced to £129, which is cheaper than the smaller non Internet philips air fryers of the same type.

Less than 15 months and the air fryer is glitching and cuts out or won't even switch on sometimes. I expected much better quality. Avoid.

This Airfryer provides full (over the internet) control. I can load the fryer up, go out and set it cooking from wherever I and arrive home to a splendidly cooked dinner. The basket is very big and and holds everything I need. I'm delighted with the ourchase.

The Philips Air Fryer has completely changed how I cook food comes out crispy, tasty, and done in no time, all with much less oil. It’s super easy to use, clean, and the basket size works well for everyday meals. One small thing to note is that the basket sits quite close to the base, so with oilier foods you need to be careful that the oil doesn’t touch the food. It’s easy to manage though and doesn’t take away from how brilliant this air fryer is.

This is a great (and let's be honest - unrivalled) alternative to deadly microwaves that contaminate food and have a huge negative impact on your body. This thing is also quite large (the size of the afore mentioned microwave) and very noisy (not as bad as a vacuum cleaner but it is close). The instructions on this one say do not add water and oil, which I took literally and had a heap of potato fries that tasted yucky and looked brown but (!) were very well cooked, with the crisp on the outside and the softness on the inside. So, yes, follow the instructions but check out the recipes before you set of as giving your food a coat of some sort of oil will not ruin anything but will make it edible. It takes very little time to have things ready in this efficient apparatus (I have not checked the electricity consumption for myself but, then, I have no intention of using it regularly). It took about 10-15 minutes for my potatoes to be ready (I only had one third of the basket full). And that's what I want from this thing - make things quickly, more healthy than what other options have to offer and be easy to clean. With greasy foods such as duck there will be trouble - the heating spring at the top will get mucky quite quickly, but a regular wipe should help it last. And oh the stench we had when it was on first - keep those windows open (that's one huge negative so a star comes off), and it is still there!! Am not looking forward to running it again because of this. Fingers crossed that goes and this thing does not get all too messy too soon.

This was the best purchase I made. This air fryer is the perfect size, easy to use, easy to clean, I love cooking and now this Phillips air fryer saves my life when I need to cook quickly or slowly. Thank God!! There are no regrets.
