Product description ------------------- Spikenard (Nardostachys jatamansi root oil) essential oil has strengthening, rejuvenating and unifying properties. Spikenard essential oil has a warm, misty, heavy aroma. It is pale yellow in colour and is of medium viscosity. Spikenard essential oil is useful in skin care preparations for all types of skin, especially for mature skin. Spikenard was very precious in ancient times, being used only by kings, priests and high initiates in Egyptian, Hebrew, and Hindu civilizations. One of Spikenards biblical references is that of Mary Magdalene anointing the feet of Jesus with the oil before the last supper: Then took Mary a pound of ointment of Spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
