I bought it to use for Mercedes and it is working fine however when it comes to minors system changes, it doesn’t Like you can’t change the temperature unit from F to C and you can’t change the radio channels frequency from US specs to GCC specs

Just got the Autel MX808S scanner and I’m really happy with it! My buddy had the regular MX808, which was cool, but I needed the EVAP solenoid activation, and the S model does that no problem. It’s way easier to use than those phone apps with a dongle—those can be such a pain. The bidirectional stuff is awesome, lets me test things directly, which is super helpful. Also, the auto-VIN read is a nice touch, saves me some hassle. WiFi for updates, hard-wired for car connection - I purposely wanted that vs bluetooth. IOne year of updated is fine, and the tool will still work after the year. I would only need to update if I purchase a new vehicle which is expected, and acceptable. Btw, the lightning deal made it a ridiculously good bargain. Overall, it’s a solid tool, works great, and I’m stoked with the purchase!

I’ve been using the Autel MaxiSys MS808S for a while now, and I have to say, it’s been a game-changer in my shop. The scanner is fast, easy to navigate, and covers a wide range of vehicles, which is exactly what I need. The bi-directional control and full-system diagnostics help me pinpoint issues quickly, saving both time and frustration. I also appreciate the regular software updates that keep it compatible with newer models. While it doesn’t have advanced programming like the higher-end Autel models, for the price, it’s an excellent tool that delivers reliable performance every time. Definitely a must-have for any serious technician! I’m also a traveller and I went to Trinidad and Tobago that’s located the Caribbean and I bought the Autel Maxisys MSOBD2KIT because a lot of the vehicles in Trinidad are older vehicles and don’t have OBD plug in and I must say it worked wonders for all the vehicles I was not able to scan before! Definitely would recommend it’s a great bang for your buck!

I have an older JDM car and am handy with tools. Had an older scan tool and now upgraded to this one, wish I had done it sooner, it communicates with all modules in the car and tells you any problems. It can also do coding and most importantly for my case IT CAN ADD SPARE KEYS!. Yes there is a subscription for updates but the tool will work after even if no updates are applied, I verified this on youtube. It can also reset and do services like ABS bleeding and parking brake service mode. It lets me work on the car and save the labor costs. Dealer wanted $734.50 CAD for just a key and programming (insane), locksmith wanted over $350 cash for just key, I left and didn't bother with them. For a bad sensor diagnosis and replacement dealer wanted over $1500 on top (rear blind spot sensor behind bumper). Bypassed all of them and their "services" with this tool. I bought blank key online for $16, had it cut for $20, programmed it and the fob myself with this tool. Scanned car determined right rear sensor lost communication, ordered new sensor for 200. I paid 793 total to fix sensor myself and get a spare programmed key. Dealer would have been $2,234!!!! In this economy I will invest in myself and my own tools instead of paying obnoxious prices to people or businesses.
