After a month, so far so good! A great value if it lasts!
I like it! Using it to keep the cat out of the Christmas tree, and, so far, it is working. It's pretty loud in the house. Don't know about outside. The only thing I don't like is that the 5v charging port requires a barrel connector, instead of USB, to connect to a USB charger, and that is terribly inconvenient, especially since the supplied charging cord is only about a foot long. I ordered a pair of 5.5mm x 2.1mm male to USB-C female adapters so that I can use a regular USB-C charging cable, and I shouldn't have had to do that. The adapter should have been included. Or, better yet, why not make the charging port USB-C in the first place? All in all, if it lasts, it is a great value. UPDATE! - I put this little fellow into service on December 10, after full charge, to guard the Christmas tree, and it has been working ever since. Tomorrow will be Jan 10th, or a full month after that one charge. And it did its job to keep the cat away from the tree. I don't know how it would do outside, but indoors it is a champ! Changing to 5 stars.

HULPPRE effectiveness
This was a gift for a family member constantly bothered by wildlife. Motion Detector was set for Barking Dog and volume set to high. They are no longer bothered by wildlife. Possible settings were on the device and easy to execute. The dog sound is realistic enough to discourage intruders and wildlife. This motion detector works as advertised and I recommend purchase.

Works well on cats
I bought this bc I have a unaltered tomcat visiting my garage and marking inside . Since we got this no more unaltered tomcat peeing in my garage. No I can't get him fixed we don't know who he belongs to, (although I'm pretty sure that the dude that has a barn a mile or two back dumped a cat at the barn and left him) already fixed one, I cant afford to fix all the cats he leaves at his barn to hunt mice. They all end up down here. He does not care that his cat s pee on our houses . It works well , could be louder but it works.

Love this predator alarm.
I've had it out in the elements (just barely protected by the edge of a chair) for months now. This is a GREAT addition to my Duck pen. I have this in combination with motion detection lights. I have it set to come on when it gets dark outside. Mine is set to gunshots noise. Every night at dark it goes off to signal that it's on. (which is nice because it's battery operated and every night I know that the batteries are still working.) Volume settings, sound choices, operation style choices. Just read the instructions. 100% recommend this for anybody wanting to keep predators at bay.

Remote range is short and it leaks in the Rain
Not Weather Proof, mine leaked with first heavy rain and stopped working but when it dried out it now works fine other than that it Works Great however the Remote range is short only about 20 feet in the dark and less than 10 feet in full sun. I have skunks that go under my house and spray and stink my house up so I put one of these mounted about 6' off of the ground on dog Bark Gun Shot and it scares them off. The record feature records 20 seconds of your voice or in my case a skunk distress call that I fond on youtube and that scares them even worse. Pro: Solar or USB Charging, Realistic Gun Shots with Vicious Dogs Barking at the same time, Record up to 20 seconds of your voice or something from youtube like a Rat or Skunk Distress Call. Con: Not Weatherproof, Remote has Short Range and there is an OFF Button on the Remote but No ON Button and if you turn it OFF with Remote you must Turn it ON on the Solar Alarm Unit itself, kinda dumb if you ask me. I like it but it could use some improvement like an ON Button on the Remote and better Waterproofing. I am getting another one for our Carport to ward off Intruders, that Gun Dog Bark scared the heck out of me when I had forgot it was out there. UPDATE: Almost 30 days after purchase the Unit has Died after last rain and this time when dried out it still will not turn on and it will not charge by solar or usb. Bummer I liked it.

Not very Durable
Arrived nicely packaged. Instructions in micro print. Has many positive features. Remote is limited. Can't set up in another room. Battery failed. Followed instructions . Had high hopes to set this up as it is very sensitive to movement and I want to chase a squirrel out of it's nesting and storing walnuts ruining my ceiling. Got it working and left with appropriate charger as it was indoors. All systems go. Following day the noise generator quit. Glad I didn't take the time to install it. Purchased an indoor version of another that has motion sensor, and remote swith that will allow me to turn on and off. Hoping the new one does better for me and my squirrel tenant!

Scared the crap out of the racoons....and my neighbor
I take several measures to deter the raccoons that ravage my fruit trees at night. This is the latest one and I started using it about a week before I picked all the fruit. I faced it towards the space in my fence the little buggers come through and I heard it sound during the night. No critters in sight so I believe it did the job. I don't know if it will scare them for a whole season. Raccoons are very smart and learn to adapt to everything I do. I did move it to my apple tree but I think my neighbor set it off early one morning so in respect to them I angled it away so their morning activity won't set it off and explode their peaceful mornings feeding their poultry. This thing is plenty loud but you can turn it down if you wish. Might make a good Halloween thing for your walkway. You can record a creepy message to play when the "Treaters" come up the walk. You can also place it in or near your garage if you like to leaving the garage door open. This should discourage any intruders or at least let you know they are there. I read all the negative reviews. I feel pretty certain that they did NOT read the instructions for the most part. 1- "It's too loud" Then turn it down 2- "I can walk up to it and it doesn't go off". Probably you set for night only 3- "It doesn't work...." Charge it or turn it on. 4- "Disturbed my neighbors" What did you expect? I bought a bottle of water and it was wet. 5- "It isn't as big as I thought it would be" HaHaHa I am not going to say anything about that buddy. Anyway I am thinking of setting this up in my house, if I ever go on vacation, with the recording to say something like "POLICE FREEZE A-HOLE". Hopefully any burglar will need to steal a clean set of underwear from my drawer before they leave. lol

Works ok for first couple of times bears came in the yard.
Worked at first to scare the bear but after a few times, the bear seemed to know it just made noise and nothing would go after them. I quit putting seeds out for the birds, the bear occ. came back to ck for bird feeders all through the summer and autumn even if no feeders were out there. The bears had managed to wreck all 5 feeders after first 2 visits!

GARBAGE
Purchased two individual units and both did not function as described... Both are faulty with the same issue... Both units were charged for more than 24 hours, by the USB charge connector, prior to first use... After disconnection from charger, and after activation, a red light displayed, which will likely drain the battery quicker... Each device was placed outside in direct sun and activated... After about an hour, with cloudless sky and calm winds, both devices randomly were set off, not at the same time and sporadically... I watched to verify there were no birds nor anything blowing to trigger the motion detector, and falsely set off the alarm... I turned both off and then turned on only one and the problem continued... This was repeated with the second device and still the issue continued for both... Fantastic concept, it did scare off two pigeons between instances of the device malfunctioning... However, it is to activate by motion and not randomly go off as both did repeatedly, without any pigeons in sight... These devices are garbage because they are set off by an error in the electronics and not by motion detection triggering... NOTE: The setting on the device or remote was not changed to the feature setting of every 5 minutes
