It was good to see the use of wood ply as opposed to mass produced metal gripper strip. The 125 ft is supplied in 50 x 3ft lengths which gave ease of handling. Each strip had to be saw trimmed slightly to fit my requirements (70 cm carpet runner). There was slight evidence of wood tearing; but mostly overcome by use of a fine toothed saw. Obviously for me there was a little waste; and if using a wider carpet would involve more than one length for treads and risers. The product was sufficiently good that when I do a second flight of stairs I will use this product

Does the job fine. Quality is ok, nails grip well. Nice long lengths. price is great

Did exactly what they needed to do. I used glue and I fixed them to concrete but the carpet fixed to the gripper perfectly... Saved a fortune not buying them from the carpet shop... I pulled the fixing nails out I didn't need easily with pliers... Would recommended buying... Cheers

Good quality and fast delivery and well priced for amount

The rods arrived in an extremely tatty box, with both ends wide open, making it somewhat of a challenge to carry without the contents falling out (much to the frustration of the delivery man). The rods themselves were fine, although one had been broken into two shorter lengths (not a problem, of course. I don't live in a house of only 5' walls). The spikes are sufficient to grip the carpet, but the pre-inserted tacks were only very lightly pushed in. As a result, many of them had fallen out. That wouldn't have been a problem if not for the previously mentioned state of the box, because of which 1 in every 3 or so nails were simply gone, lost forever to the floor of wherever it came from or the back of the delivery van.

Carpet fitter was happy. Especially good for stairs as may not need cutting. Very economical.
