Mush better than card reader.
The adapter has a few advantages over a card reader. It is only the size of an SD card for easy storage it has write protect which I always use with my SD card, it has a nice low price, and has the reliability of ScanDisk.

Great product - works as advertised
I use this to transfer 3D print files from my iMac (which doesn't have a microSD slot) to my 3D printer. It does the trick and hasn't failed me so far. If your computer doesn't recognise it, remove and re-insert. Make sure it is straight upon inserting. Highly recommend

Does the job perfectly well but not the best choice
I bought this adapter to read a micro SD card in a SD card slot. It worked as it should and I found that my micro SD card needed replacing. A new Micro SD card cost only about £2 more that this adapter and comes with...A free adapter!I wouldn't recommend buying this, spend about £2 more and get a card and adapter together.
