Curcumin From Turmeric Root with C3 Complex &

As a sports medicine and nutrition specialist, I have tried many nutrition products and tested them for performance in the aging athlete. I have consistently used the quality of Pure Encapsulations for most all nutritional supplements and their Turmeric product is excellent but expensive. A quality alternative with effective results is found in Doctor's Best Curcumin. I take it daily with effective results as the price is more affordable than Pure Encapsulations, which has a different mg dosage than the Dr. Best product. Give it a try. My arthritis was getting bad enough to keep me awake at night and I am unable to take NSAID because of kidney disease. When I heard about Turmeric and researched it, I found out you need to read the label closely, to get only the EXTRACT, not the root. I looked at lots of labels and chose Dr’s Best 1000 mg tablets. Then I double checked studies to be sure it wouldn’t damage my kidneys. It actually HELPS kidneys and Fatty Liver Disease! The NIH studies say it works by repairing Leaky Gut Syndrome, to reduce inflammation. I only wish it was a permanent cure. I tried it on an empty stomach, which is best for absorption, but I had stomach pain from it. I now take it with half a protein shake and have no problems, and it still works well. It works for my arthritis, and if I stop I notice the pain returning within a couple of days. My shoulder arthritis is better, but my rotator cuff is only partially improved, but I will take what relief I can get. I have noticed that if I am eating lots of sweets, my arthritis gets worse (sugar is inflammatory), and I take an extra pill (twice a day) and back off the sweets. This pill is worth the money to me. My daughter tried a different well known brand and it didn’t help. I am buying her a big bottle of Doctor’s Best today to see if it helps her.

I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis about a year ago. My pain level throughout my body was around 8-9 (and I have a high pain threshold). My CRP, which is a blood marker for inflammation was 35 (should be below 10) . I couldn't get an appointment with a Rheumatologist for 4 months so I decided to do a little research and see what was out there for natural pain relief. I read up on Curcumin and it sounded like just what I was looking for. I ordered this and began taking 3-4 capsules a day and although that helped, it wasn't enough so I kept increasing it until I was at 9 a day (3 capsules 3 times daily). It was like a miracle! The pain went down to around 2 and I've been doing great. I added Boswellia capsules along the way also and I think the combination are even more beneficial. Recently, I decided to try and find a cheaper brand of 1,000 mg capsules because at 9 a day, this brand was getting expensive. Puritans Pride offered 1,000 mg capsules for MUCH less and seemed to be comparable ingredient wise, so I switched. Bottom line? One bottle in and my pain has returned BIG TIME! The only change I've made in my regimen is the Puritan's Pride curcurmin. Needless to say I've sent back the unused bottles and reordered my Dr's Best Curcumin. I wish it was cheaper but what the heck...I'm worth the one that works.

My wife and I use this brand because it seems to help my enlarged prostate condition, my cholesterol levels and it is noticeably good for our digestive systems. We tried other brands at 30 day intervals and they did not seem to work well. My concerns are: 1. There is no independent agency that certifies quality or potency claims, 2. The bottle allows light to penetrate in (I have read curcumin potency is negatively affected by light) and 3. I worry that this manufacture, like so many others, could easily, and at any time, dilute the potency and misrepresent the product. 'I guess the proof is in the pudding'. I will use it as long as I trust it.
