Great product!
It's BLACK! Proper black. Great consistency, pretty thick, goes on like a dream and I only needed one coat. We painted the alcove where our log burner sits and it looks awesome. No smell at all. Water based so it cleans off if you make a mistake and you dont need turps for the brush. It dries super quick and is well priced and I'm very happy. The people who have given this a bad review are quite clearly doing it wrong. Or reviewing a different product. I dont get it tbh.

Amazing paint
Wow!!!! I’m so impressed with this stuff. I managed a medium sized radiator and the marble around my fire on half a can. So easy to apply and didn’t take long. It does smell but totally worth it

Excellent value
Can't knock this paint! Small tin,but it goes far, the photo although nit in the light is after first coat,it does need a second and i have to redo the white and dress fireplace properlly, but it looks ace! Covered a horrible pine, and covered the white hearth well.the second coat will look perfect.wanted to update tge fireplace and im so happy with it.dried quickly, obviously a smell for a whike like with any paint,so only paint in a well ventilated room.silky smooth to the touch and lovely matt finish.so happy with it :)

A little goes a long way, dries very quickly and looks good
This is my second time buying this for tiles around the fireplace. This is very easy to apply, and the thick consistency means that a little goes a long way. Lovely dark black colour. Good adhesion—the only reason I am using it again is because my home (unfortunately) is susceptible to lots of dust, which has dulled a lot of my furniture through dusting—so I like to repaint once a year as I love the very dark black look. This is my go-to heat resistant paint, it’s a fantastic price and as mentioned a little goes a very long way, it’s also durable. My only quibble is the courier, they used Evri for this delivery and I received the parcel with a massive rip, fairly obvious that someone was trying to steal the contents. Thankfully the thief didn’t need a pot of paint! Hopefully they switch the courier to Royal Mail or DPD, or Amazon’s own delivery.

Give it time to dry properly
Fantastic product. But, give it time to cure! We haven't yet reattached the radiator to the heating pipework, so can't comment on the heat resistance, or it's staying power when warm, however here is our honest review: Took the radiator off. We needed to paint it as it's 2.4m long and you couldn't get a replacement in anything other than white. Sugar soaped to degrease and clean the rad before painting. Spot primed a couple of rust patches. Painted the first coat, then painted a second 3 hours later. 3 hours later panicked as it scratched off really easily with very light pressure. Read the reviews here and probably would have scratched it all off and repainted in a different product if we weren't so busy. We left it as we had other decorating to do. Next day, paint was solid. So painted a 3rd coat. Left it another day. Scratch tested and it's solid. Moved it back to the wall (it's a heavy lump) and not one scratch in the process. I bought two tins, however in hindsight, we only needed one tin as we only used half! It goes a long way. We did only paint the front and the sides, not the back. As we had taken the rad off and had it flat, we had no drips. The look is very smooth flat Matt, which is exactly what we wanted. Once it's plumbed back in, I'll update the review on heat resistance. I hope this is useful!

Better than expected! Some reviews say it’s a thin paint, but after mixing it, I didn’t find it to be thin. Used this on a radiator in the basement and it looks brand new!
