I cannot say enough about these cards. After I got used to tarot cards at all, (with little ones that came without a guidebook from a different vendor), I got these here. I’m so glad I did. The images are larger, clearer, & are beautiful gold-edged cards. A lot of the large, or full-sized cards like these are not easy to shuffle in the normal way, but these are somehow. They are the perfect balance between strength and flexibility for large, gold edged cards! I also like the fact that the images are the same as the original deck, but the coloring is slightly different, so that it appears in a less overly.. bright way, if you know what I mean. And it was not expensive for great quality like this. It also comes with a guidebook that will give you descriptions of what the cards can mean, and usually mean, and also gives you suggestions for tarot spreads (how to lay the cards out). Extremely happy with this purchase!

Hmmm...I'm really on the fence about this deck. There are many things I like about it, but my first impression wasn't that great and I can't seem to get past that. When I took the plastic wrap off the deck, I noticed right away that the top card was already peeling a bit on the corner - before I had even touched or shuffled them. That made me think they won't hold up over time. I own many decks that have "aged" over time from being lovingly used, but to see peeling upon opening has me concerned. I'm thinking I may need to return this deck, but will sit with it and work with it for a week or two to see how I feel. Here are my thoughts: * I was drawn to the antiqued/vintage look of the cards. Very appealing visually - the tea-stained background, the soft, muted colors, and the traditional Pamela Colman Smith artwork are all positive aspects. * The description says these are 400 gsm card stock. That usually correlates to thick, sturdy cards, but these feel a bit thin to me. A little too flimsy for my tastes, especially for the $20 price point. This feels more like a $10-12 deck. * I usually overhand shuffle my decks - I don't like to riffle/bridge shuffle because it can bend the card stock. Because these cards are thinner, they actually riffle shuffle beautifully! And overhand shuffle smoothly as well. So that's a positive too. But they do bend more than I'm comfortable with. * The box is a sturdy two-piece style. When I opened it and put the base into the lid while I was using the cards, it took some real pulling to separate the two pieces because they stuck together because of the high gloss finish. Didn't like that. * The gilding is beautiful, but it caused the cards to stick together a bit until I took the time to separate each one and shuffle them for awhile. It's only natural that over time some of the gilding will wear off with repeated use. That's to be expected and doesn't bother me much. * The guidebook is decent enough. I don't generally judge a deck by its guidebook, especially a deck based on the Rider-Waite-Smith system. I have enough books about RWS symbolism and meanings that I don't rely on the included guidebook much. As someone who owns a number of tarot decks of varying styles and qualities, I guess I've just become picky about the decks I spend my money on. I know what I like and don't like when I see and feel it. I'm sorry if this review is confusing - it's my initial thoughts since I just received the deck yesterday. The few negative feelings I have about it are causing me to think I might return it, but the positives have me holding off on making that decision. Overall, it's an attractive deck with quality that may become an issue. We'll see... * * * UPDATED REVIEW * * * It's been about two weeks, and I've spent a lot of time with this deck. I'm updating my star-rating from 3 to 4, and have decided that I like this deck after all! I've riffle shuffled it A LOT and have been pleasantly surprised by how well it has held up. I still think the cards are on the thinner side, but they haven't bent in a damaging way. They snap back and remain flat. The gilding has become a little worn, but that's natural. I still don't care for the glossy box and the fact that the deck doesn't really have a unique name - the box just says Craft Cards. I did request a replacement deck due to the peeling damage that was present on one card when I first opened them but look forward to using this deck regularly. I'm happy I gave them a second chance! P.S. I even ended up buying another deck from the same company - another vintage-style deck but with black backgrounds. I'll post a separate review for that one.

So wonderful. Love everything about them. The cards are firm, which is different for me, but I adjusted how I shuffled (which will also protect the beautiful gold leaf) and it's totally fine.

I like the cards, but the tarot card pouch is not given. That is a disappointment, else this is a good purchase. The cards need a harder solid box. This is one of the lousy box. The cards deserved to be treated better.

Llevaba tiempo queriendo comprar este tarot porque me encanta el diseño, pero su precio no lo hace especialmente asequible. Y ahora que finalmente lo he hecho, la calidad de las cartas me ha decepcionado bastante, no corresponde para nada al precio que piden por él. Sí son gruesas, pero parecen mal cortadas, con los bordes levantados y se pegan, dificultando su manejo. Definitivamente la relación calidad/precio es nula.
