I had a local A/C company come out and do an annual maintenance service on my A/C system . He did very little but he said my coil was bad and he could replace it for $260.00 more. The service was $99.99 coil replacement for $260.00 for a total of approximately $360.00 . I didn’t have the coil replaced by the A/C company instead I ordered this one for under $15.00 and installed the next day in under 20 min.and it was a exact replacement for rmy Goodman unit.( just about all the A/C companies use the same parts ). Turned on the unit and it has never started so strong and fast without any noise from the compressor or the fan. A few days later I talked with my brother-in-law (A/C company owner in California ). He said that this was a good reliable brand and I should change out coil and contactor every 5 to 7 yrs.as regular maintenance

I’m a DIYer. My home A/C stopped working. I looked at some videos and decided to try replacing the capacitor. The price point was good. The replacement part was easy to install and my A/C started working within 5 minutes. The only thing negative was the delivery. The delivery driver said he left the package by front door. I looked and nothing. So i checked with my neighbors and nothing. So I ordered another one. But couple hours later i checked my mailbox and there it was. So I had to return the re-order.

I was surprised to find these capacitors on Amazon. This is the second time the capacitor has failed on my 20 year old heat pump. Both times it failed during a heat wave, of course. The first time it cost me nearly $400 to have an A/C company replace it. When I found the capacitor on Amazon after scheduling a service call, I quickly cancelled the service call and order one. Same day delivery too and it got here before the service guy would have. It took abt 20 mins to install. That was a month ago and everything is still working well.

My air conditioner died one morning. I went outside. Heard it buzzing powered it off. Let it cool off turned it. Turned it Back on fan didn’t start started the I moved the fan with a stick which then it started which told me the capacitor was bad. I looked at the number on the capacitor. Ordered it on Amazon was delivered in within an hour and 30 minutes and my air-conditioning was up and running.

Nice capacitor to have on standby in case yours decides to go bad..looks like it’s a factory fresh part and not one from a unit that was condemned because of shipping damage or whatnot..start capacitors last for years, but you never know..you can save money with this relatively inexpensive capacitor if your a handyman/handywoman or you have a friend who can lend a hand with replacing it..store it in a nice and dry, room temperature environment until you need it..it’s great for piece of mind, especially in the winter..just had to replace my compressor contactor the other day (7 year old unit) and luckily it went bad during a warm spell in December..messing with heat pumps in the dead middle of winter at 2:30 in the morning is the absolute worst lol..just remember, turn all the breakers off to the unit just to be on the safe side and allow roughly 5 minutes to allow and residual electricity to dissipate before swapping out your capacitor!

I bought this capacitor after I had a service technician charge me $500 bucks to replace a defective one. I was told start here first as most times this is the first components to go. Simple enough I could change out myself and save big bucks.
