The 135B Dominant violin strings 4/4 full set model is different from others because of the E string specifically. The E string has a steel ball-end, which helps it achieve a richer sound. The other three strings are made with a blend of aluminum, steel, and Perlon (nylon). For the best possible tone color and longevity of your instrument and strings, be sure to regularly maintain and replace them at the appropriate intervals. All Thomastik-Infeld products are proudly made in Austria, where we have been crafting strings since 1919.

They're fine.
They're dominants. They're fine. They're the standard, good for judging violins against each other. I have one fiddle that these make it sound best, and all other strings make it sound terrible. Who knows why. Every fiddle is different. Your milage may vary.

The strings have a nice tone
I have used these strings as backup strings in case one of the other Dominant strings breaks on my violin. The existing set of Dominant strings sound very nice on my violin.
