Doesn't work after a few months!!
I bought this NVOPERANG 7-in-1 USB 3.0 External CD/DVD Drive in 2025, and unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. First of all, the USB ports are extremely tight, making it difficult to plug and unplug devices. The overall speed is also very slow. The drive struggles to recognize CDs at all, and even with DVDs, it takes several minutes just to detect them. Another major issue is compatibility. It seems very picky about the discs. For example, it reads a Sony DVD, but fails to recognize generic DVDs, which is very frustrating. The build quality looks decent at first, but it does not feel very solid or tight in actual use. On top of that, the Micro-USB port used for additional power broke after some time, which makes the product even less reliable. The biggest problem is durability. After a few months of use, the DVD reader completely stopped working and is now unusable. Regarding the โ7-in-1โ claim, the actual product only includes a limited number of ports (USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and an SD card slot). The listing can be confusing or misleading, as some images suggest more features than what is actually provided. Overall, I would not recommend this product due to its poor performance, unreliable disc detection, questionable listing clarity, and lack of durability.

excellent performance
I have tried many portable drives before this - they were poorly performing. This drive has excellent features and has proved well beyond my expectations.

Stopped working after 3 days of view
Liked very much but it stopped working after 3 days of use. If CD is inserted it makes a sound like it is trying to start it but it can't and it is forever. Tried on several CDs previously read without any problems. I do not have the original box, not sure if it is returnable. Got a message from the seller today that I can get a full refund, so I increased the rating and bought the second one. Will see if it works. Second one works ver well. I got refund for first one but before I got it, I sent it back as return. No second refund it needed btut I do not see option to cancel refund.
