Best midrange smartwatch
I have had this watch for a few months at this point. I have used a ton of different cheaper watches, and the accompanying apps. This one by far is beyond the others. First the watch faces are customizable you can use a large variety of free ones, you can purchase more in the app or you can use the custom watch face builder to create your own. The tracking of everything works well. I don't use any of the paid services, but there is plenty of information available for someone who is mildly interested in tracking sleep quality, steps, exercise, water consumption, activity levels, etc. More importantly for me, it sends me notifications, answers calls, has voice assistant, and tracks all of the above. It stays charged for an entire workweek. I charge it on my day off when I am just relaxing, then I am good to wear it consistently for the next week. I have eyed the pixel watch on and off, but the darn higher end watches don't stay charged long enough. So if you are not looking for a doctor on your wrist that gives perfectly accurate data this is a good choice. It seems pretty accurate for what I use it for, and I don't base medical decisions off the data, other than maybe saying I don't think I am getting enough sleep sometimes. If the pixel watch eventually can match battery life might try that out someday, but until then this is the brand for me. Oh and unlike all the other cheaper ones, this app stays connected and reconnects when it is back in range, I never lose my sleep or steps data because I forgot to link the app at exactly 11:59 at night, or ever. The only time I don't get data is when I am not wearing the watch. ***update April 2025*** This watch is still working fantastically. I work in a commercial kitchen, I am sometimes elbow deep in a sink full of dishes or covered to my elbows in degreaser, oil, sanitizer, or food of some sort. When I am just prepping food I will usually pull my glove up over the watch, but otherwise it is exposed to the abuse of the elements in the kitchen. Most of the watches I have used before seem to fall apart after a few months in the kitchen. I think some of the chemicals we use dissolve the glue that holds the face to the body of the watch. This one still looks brand new. There is a warning somewhere in the instructions to not expose this to prolonged hot water, the thing is I can't stop what I am doing to take my watch off, so I had resigned myself to just purchasing new watches when the old one broke. And if this one eventually falls apart I will replace it with the newest model of the exact same watch. The app for this watch just works. It tries to sell me upgrades every couple weeks but they aren't necessary to keep track of steps or sleep or anything else really. It still connects automatically whenever in range of my phone, and I do not have to think about it at all. I can ignore the app for weeks at a time and still go back and look at the data whenever I want. And when I am feeling like I want something new I just switch out the band. It is so nice to be able to view my messages when I am elbow deep in a giant batch of bread. For me this watch takes the abuse that I never expected it to, I have given up on the more expensive brands... They are never going to compare especially when it comes to battery life. ***august 2025**** Last update because I think the point has been made. This watch is still working exactly as it should. I still wear it for four to six days without charging or removing, I charge it on my first day off work, then the only other time I remove it is when I get in the shower, then I jut put it right back on after I have toweled dry. I have come to expect this watch to always be there. It has become a tool that I use always. I use the weather app, check steps, sometimes check sleep, time and date, and notifications. I still don't even use this to it's full potential. There are so many other little things like the stress monitor, heart health, it has a built into the app nutritional info. It has a training template so you can track reps. There are sooo many widgets and measurements it is easily personalized for the individual. Fantastic smart watch.

Just what I was looking for.
I own a Fitbit Sense, Samsung Galaxy Active2, and Amazfit GTS 4 Mini, and curiously, I liked the Amazfit watch the best. The Amazfit GTS 4 Mini has more features than I need, long battery life, while not being bulky. My Sense and Active 2 needed to be charged every few days which seemed to be a pain to me. When do you charge, at night and you lose sleep tracking? During the day, and you lose the activity tracking? I like the Sense, but the frequent charging issue had me looking for an alternative. The Samsung Galaxy Active 2 is very bulky, and recently, after limited use, the screen started to separate from the bezel, and I could see the glue. Called Samsung, who basically said I was SOOL. No Samsung, you are SOOL, because I will never buy another one of your watches. I received the Amazfit GTS 4 Mini was a gift from my daughter a few months ago and I liked it so much so, that I purchased a second, the GTR Mini. I had considered the full GTR 4, but after comparing the two, the Mini afforded me all the features I needed, minus the ability to answer and make calls, but truthfully, if I need my phone to be with me to use this feature, I mine as well just use the phone. The GTR Mini is as lightweight and thin as the GTS 4 Mini, that I often forget that I'm wearing it. I also like the fact that I can store my gym membership and loyalty store cards on it. My gym started doing away with the cards, which means once the card has worn out, I'd have to bring my phone into the gym, and a) don't want to risk damaging my phone during my workouts and b) don't want to be one of those annoying members on their phone when someone else is looking to use the equipment. The price point of the Amazfit GTR Mini makes the watch a no-brainer. Hopefully you find my review helpful.

I would buy this again! But I'd buy a protective cover with it (only con is how easily it scratches)
I bought this smart watch and it arrived approximately a week ago. I was sick the first few days so didn't do much movement until the last 3 days. The watch is fantastic. I'm coming from a fitbit and the battery life on this particular watch is incredible. I'm just testing it out to see how the battery life lasts so I have everything on. It started at 85% and now 6 days later I'm at 26%. That's with every possible battery draining option turned on. Amazing. The size of this watch is perfect for me. I have small wrists and so I was wary about getting a watch that would extend past my wrist and look silly. This is the perfect size for me. (Female, mid 30's, athletic build). The various options to track seem to be on point. The step count is in range to what my fitbit watch would indicate. Since my fitbit broke I am unable to wear both at once to confirm, but it does seem within the same range. I appreciate the sleep options and all of the other options that don't require a subscription. I'm so sick of subscriptions and paying extra for things on top of the product itself. This does not force me to do that. There is an option to purchase some aura app, but I moved it to the disable screen and it doesn't pop up. Perfection. There are apps you can purchase to utilize on your watch. Some are free and some are not. But they are additional add-ons and aren't required to operate the watch as advertised. As a coach I am thankful for the free app that allows me to keep score of the games as well as the stopwatch and timer options. Those are invaluable to me. I can see the watch face in bright light or darkness, and that was my issue with the fitbit. I was unable to see the fitbit during the day once the battery started getting weaker. This watch appears to provide the same intensity regardless of battery strength/charge. For the clock faces, I can customize the background image to images I've captured, or something from the internet, or utilize the options provided by the company. For what is shown on the home screen, there are a number of different free options available which should suit most people's needs and wants. Some of the options allow you to change the smaller detailed data (such as changing steps to calories, etc.). Make sure to mess around with the watch faces to customize to your liking. Of course there are some watch faces that cost money, but it's a one time small purchase (like $1.99) to purchase those. However, it's really not necessary since I believe the free options should suit the majority of people's needs. Cons: my only con so far is that the watch face scratches quite easily. Like, way too easily. Make sure to buy a cover for the face so that this doesn't happen to you. I've only worn it a few days and the scratches are very noticeable. I'm hoping to find a solution for the scratches and already purchased a cover for the watch (delivered overnight bc I can't risk more damage to the watch face).

Useful activity health tracking smart watch with some daily management features
Pros: 1. Sleep tracking is nice and more than I expected. It provides daily trends on sleep habits, including the time frames of REM, Deep Sleep and Light Sleep (all shown in separate parts in the same graph). Love this, and didn't expect I would use it, but I do. It reminds me to go to bed based on a goal. Provides sleep grades compared to others and this goal. And it has been successful in helping me track my overall sleep health, and to develop better sleep habits. This was an unexpected perk for me. 2. Setup of the watch and the Zepp app was so much more painless than the initial watch I purchased and its app. It synced up quickly and correctly. The app started reporting, and transferring over to the Apple Health app right away once I got it all set up. It did take some figuring out how to get the Apple Health synced up, but that was a complexity issue more on the Apple side. 3. The battery life is really good. I typically only have to charge every 3-4 days. Am very happy with the battery life considering how much I use the watch. 4. The watch provides a wide array of health stats including the already described Sleep, Stress, Heart Rate, Blood Oxygen, Steps, Activities, Exercise, Calories, distance, and provides a PAI score each day that took a little to understand, but I now find very useful to just "summarize" if I'm staying active and healthy each day. I especially love the blood oxygen reading which I track every hour because I suffer from asthma that is allergy and autoimmune-related. I can now track when I might need to pay closer attention and "take a puff" before it gets really bad. I don't know how accurate this all is, but the readings make enough sense to be useful in tracking my overall systematic health, and I find that very useful overall. 5. I know I have only "unlocked" and used half of this watch and Zepp watch's abilities. There is also geolocation capacities, which I look forward to using on a hike or outdoor activities. 6. I also like the tap button on the side, and the many possibly configurations you can set up to customize how you interact with the watch. It's easy to push because it sticks out, unlike some other smartwatches that you have to push just right. I use my tap button for 1) short tap to access all the apps (and you can buy or download free apps - this is also nice), 2) long tap to wake my watch. I just love the flexibility in setting up the watch to fit your own needs and preferences. 7. My texts and messages from iMessage on my iPhone and WhatsApp come through with no issues. I like getting those notifications on my watch and then going to my phone to read the message. The text is previewed on the watch, but any attachments, I have to go to my phone. 8. I get reminders from my calendars (Google, Apple, Work) on the watch. I like that a lot. 9. The weather app is standard in look and data. Nice to have. 10. You can scroll down on each app and screen, and the watch drills down to a lot detailed information. Love this. The amount of details is great (even for the weather). 11. Also have alarming options. I can set alarms on my watch for daily activities. 12. I love the round watch face as opposed to the square or rectangular face. It's aesthetically a beautiful watch. Cons: 1. Pricier than other smartwatches, but cheaper than Apple and other high end watches. For the price, I think it has a lot. So not sure this is a con. It's more than I wanted to spend. :) 2. There is so much it took a few days to set it all up the way I finally wanted it, and some were not intuitive. I even have MORE to set up, just haven't. 3. I may have missed it, but they have a stopwatch. Would be nice to have a Timer. 4. The watch will notify you of incoming calls and missed calls, but does not allow you to make calls, nor is there voicemail on the watch. I don't miss this actually because I usually have my phone with me too. I get the notification on the phone, and I then know to call someone back or listened to voicemail of a missed call. Overall, I am very pleased with this watch. It does what is advertised. Other than a bit lengthy and complex set up, it's primarily an activities, health tracking with some daily management watch. And I am finding that's really all I need it for. My goal of developing healthier habits is helped significantly along with this watch.

Amazfit GTR Mini: Your Ultimate Fitness Companion with Long-Lasting Battery
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Amazfit GTR Mini Smart Watch, and I must say that I'm thoroughly impressed with its features and performance. First and foremost, the design of the watch is sleek and stylish, fitting comfortably on my wrist. It's a perfect blend of aesthetics and functionality. One aspect that stood out to me was the wide range of health tracking features and reminders available on this watch. From monitoring my daily activities to providing insightful data on my sleep patterns, the watch excelled in helping me maintain a healthy lifestyle. The accuracy of the functions, including step counting and sleep tracking, seemed spot-on, giving me confidence in the data it provided. One of the standout features of the Amazfit GTR Mini is its exceptional battery life. Even with continuous use, the watch conserves power effectively, allowing me to go about my day without worrying about frequent charging. This is particularly useful during longer activities or trips where access to a charger may be limited. Although I haven't tested the GPS functionality extensively, I believe it would be a valuable asset for outdoor enthusiasts. The inclusion of 5 satellite positioning systems promises reliable and accurate tracking, especially during runs or hikes. The overall user experience of the Amazfit GTR Mini is highly satisfactory. The accompanying app complements the watch seamlessly, offering detailed insights and customization options. The app's interface is intuitive and user-friendly, enhancing the overall experience of using the watch. I was impressed by the accuracy of the SPO₂ and heart rate monitoring features. During my use, I didn't notice any significant variations in my heart rate readings, indicating the reliability of the watch's sensors. While I haven't tested the water resistance personally, the watch's 5 ATM rating ensures it can withstand immersion in water up to a certain depth, adding to its durability and versatility. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend the Amazfit GTR Mini Smart Watch to anyone seeking a reliable and feature-rich device to monitor and improve their overall health. Its sleek design, impressive health tracking capabilities, long-lasting battery, and user-friendly experience make it a worthy companion for your fitness journey.

Amzfit Gtr 4 Mini: Update
So, let me preface this review by noting that I have returned two other smartwatches from other companies in the last 4 weeks. I am on the verge of returning this one as well. I have had this watch for two full days and the term "smart" appears to be a misnomer. Pros: the size, look and overall condition of this watch is excellent. The attractive watch face is has a sweep second hand, step monitor, day tracker and battery status. Sleep, heart rate and O2 monitoring/detection seems to be "relatively" accurate. The app and watch were easy to set up, pair and communicate. Changing units to pounds, miles and Fahrenheit was simple. Cons: Step count and activity sensing are not accurate, although the mileage seems to be correct. Calorie monitoring is pretty much worthless. Yesterday, on a 2.75 mile walk I recorded 400+ calories which seems appropriate for a 170lb man. However, the daily total was 800 Calories which is ridiculous. Today, after a 2 hr workout which included 20 minutes of cardio which burned 230 calories with a heart rate between 125 and 140, the watch shows a a total calorie count less than 200 and heart rate max out at 122 for the "day". The average person burns more calories sleeping than this watch calculates in an entire day. This is a deal breaker for me unless customer service has a fix. Several months have elapsed since my initial review. The pros remain essentially unchange but I can add some nuance to the cons. The activity tracker remains, as stated, inaccurate. This stems from two reasons. First, calorie consumption is biased to steps. So, if you aren't moving the watch assumes you are inactive, even if you are strenuously exercising. You can select the exercise from the menu and its built in algorithm will adjust your calorie count. That is too much administrative work for me if every 10-15 minutes I have to reset my activity choice. Second, the calorie count while using aerobic equipment such as an exercycle, elliptical or treadmill is consistently 20-30% lower than the machine itself calculates. The higher the level setting the more divergent the count becomes. It appears the watch has one base calorie consumption value for any one of these machines and doesn't recognize increasing exertion even if you reach VO max. Third, the watch does not have an edit feature that could allow an individual to adjust for exercise type, time and calorie burn after the fact to eliminate constant fiddling with watch settings during a workout. I would probably give the watch three stars versus the two of my initial review.

Great watch/fitness tracker combo for the price!
Have been putting this through some abuse now, and this is what I have to say: HR is in line with other monitors I’ve tried. Same with o2 sat. Sleep tracker can be glitchy for me being on an overnight schedule; it doesn’t like to recognize my normal sleep sessions and counts them as a nap. I guess that’s something to do with their algorithm and when you go to sleep past a certain time. For me, I’m more concerned with the overall amount of time I was asleep rather than all the other metrics. If it shows I had an 8-hour “nap” because I went to bed too late and I wake up feeling rested, it’s enough to see that sleep duration (I’m really bad about keeping track of when/what time I fall asleep) Was honestly shocked at how accurate the activity and resting calories burned trackers have been; they fall directly in line with how much weight I’ve been losing vs my caloric deficit through this cut. The few workout modes I use (strength training, indoor cycling, outdoor running) all seem to work well enough, and it’s interesting looking at the metrics sheets the watch and app come up with for the workouts. Is it 100% on point? Most likely not. Is it close enough to have an idea of how I’m pushing myself through my workouts? Absolutely It shows texts notifications, but not WhatsApp notifications. It doesn’t get the Do Not Disturb memo from my phone and lets texts through, unless going into the watch’s settings and turning on the watch’s Do Not Disturb. Swipe controls can feel a little sluggish, and water streams from a shower head can manipulate the screen. Slightly annoying, but nothing I can’t ignore/get past. GPS tracking has been accurate for runs through my suburban neighborhood, though haven’t tried it outside of this smallish area yet. As far as battery life and charge speed: both have been absolutely phenomenal (Recent run went from 100% to 39% over 6 days and took maybe 30-40 minutes to come up to 100%). Build quality on it is decent. Not the fanciest, but it definitely doesn’t feel like something cheap. Overall, for the $120 I spent on it, I was actually impressed. Was really just looking to snag a basic watch and fitness tracker combo, but this surpassed the expectations I had. Yeah, there are things that could be better with it, but for the price point, I’m happy with what it can do.

Great watch, but it will not detect sleep
I've had the watch for about 8 months now, and I've worn it off and on. I've found the GPS accuracy on workouts to be extremely good. I honestly don't know why they keep updating this, because it's been flawless since day 1. I once wore it along with an Apple Watch series 3, and it blew the AW away in accuracy. It will also write data to the Apple Health app, which is nice. Watch faces were lacking at first, but now there are quite a few very nice free ones that you can get. The watch faces are cool, and the always-on display works great. The ONLY thing the watch can't do well is detect sleep. They claim it detects "sleep" from 6pm through 6am, and anything outside of this range is considered a "nap." I don't have a problem with that, if it actually worked. I go to sleep at roughly 11pm and wake up at 7am. I'm pretty consistent, and I have no trouble sleeping. I wear the watch tight enough. It does not detect sleep accurately. Nearly every single night, the watch records that I went to sleep for the first time when I go BACK to sleep after waking up in the night. It says I slept from 4am to 7am, which is just wrong. I slept like a rock from 11pm to 4am, and it's like the watch just glitches during that time period. I've factory reset it a few times, so it's not that. It absolutely refuses to record that sleep has started at any time from 9pm to 2am Eastern Standard Time. Occasionally, I'll take a nap from 10am to 11am or so -- when I do that, the watch typically detects the start and end of the nap with no problem. Another interesting thing to note is that when I traveled to Europe, the watch magically started recording my sleep properly. When I came home, the problem returned. It seems like a bug in the code around time zones or something. It seems like a massive problem, so I have no idea why it hasn't been found and corrected yet. Also.. I would not even care if this watch had NO sleep tracking at all. Sleep tracking is useless in my opinion -- but you cannot turn it off! And then the stupid thing sits there and lectures me about the importance of a good night's sleep.

Me encantó!!!

An incredible package
I had not heard of Amazfit brand before, until my son bought one for his gf. You can gauge quality immediately from the website, which is nicely put together and nice graphics. These watches are hard to find to try in shops, so I wanted to try one. Immediately out the box you can see this is high quality, with nice touches like the engraved button control and high polish finish, plus high quality graphics. The setup out the box is uber-easy and it was up and running quickly. The Zepp app has lots of functionality and connects well to see any trails and maps in lots of detail. The watch is very light and low in profile, so you hardly know you are wearing it. The strap tucks in the strap and so doesn't catch on clothing and easy to wear overnight for sleep tracking. The heart rate and blood O2 are impressive and if not absolute at least give trends and alerts. I used the watch for some mountain biking and hikes and it tracks nicely and accurate. I was concerned about privacy as one reviewer couldn't find it on the Amazfit website, but its there and similar to Apple, Garmin etc. This smartwatch puts it ahead of the competition costing 2 or 3 x the price. I have had Samsung Watch5 (only works on Android), Garmin but I'm certainly impressed with this GTR Mini and its price, functions and battery life.

Good
I’ve been using this watch for about 10 days now. I fully charged it when it arrived, and the battery lasted around one week with regular use. The watch looks nice and feels good to wear. It doesn’t have an overwhelming number of features, but it includes the essentials like blood oxygen monitoring, stress tracking, heart rate monitoring, and many different sports modes to choose from. Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase.
