Can’t get a good froth to form, what am I doing wrong? Still good.

Hi—First, you may not be doing anything wrong. Second, I’m no expert. But, Greek coffee crema is not like a capuccino or latte foam or froth. Greek coffee crema is a thin, creamy, bubbly surface. So creamy, not frothy. When it first begins to boil (coffee begins to rise), remove from heat and stir. Repeat this two more times and remove from heat. Let it sit for a minute for grounds to settle a bit. Using demitasse cups helps you to share the crema. I think the more you “over-work” the crema, the more you lose it. Hopefully this makes sense. There probably is some art to consistently make good crema. Good luck!

So is this a powdered coffee that does not need a filter? Just heat, mix/stir, and serve? No grounds in the teeth to worry about?

Well, no filter used. You bring it to a boil (a beginning boil several times) in a small pot (briki) and let it sit for a minute. Grounds will settle to the bottom. So if you stop pouring before you get to the dregs, “no grounds in the teeth”. Hope that helps.

Is this coffee roasted light, medium or dark?

I honestly cannot answer you. I think it's medium. All I know is that I love the taste above all other brands of Turkish coffee and drink 4-5 cups per day.

Where is this product made/packed?

It says made in usa but we do not produce coffee in usa. Surely packed here. Coffee is pretty good, much better than that turkish coffee worth nothing, neither is Bravo. This the best I found here so far.
