Works well for me but manual poor. Great when combined with a WiFi bridge to get AIS on tablet etc
Good price and works well. LEDs don't flash as described in the manual but no problems otherwise. Have connected it to a Yakker WiFi bridge from eBay. I have opencpn navigation software with oesenc charts on Android tablet and phone and it all works perfectly. Navionics app won't connect to the Yakker because it's not on their "approved" list of devices, it seems. The ha-102 has nmea 0183 but not 2000. Configuration was easy and could even change mmsi etc when I changed to another boat. I'd highly recommend it as an alternative to more expensive models

Four Stars
This was delivered on time, well packaged and operates satisfactorily. However, the instruction manual describing its operation is inaccurate. In particular, on power on the LEDs do not operate as described and the red TX LED is much dimmer than the RX LEDs. However, it works. The software allows it to be programmed easily and it receives Class A transmissions up to 20 nms when out at sea. As a low power Class B TX its own range is much less. It integrated easily with my GPS plotter and after one season sailing I have no complaints

Poor configuration and manuals
Product has been installed and is receiving AIS targets, BUT the configuration option does not work. The operation manual is poor and does not adequately describe the use of the serial port and the purpose of each of the 10 wires that come from the combined power/data cable - apart from the red/black power wires
