The Thompson Tee Men's Sweatproof Undershirt | V Neck | Slim Fit | with Sweat Pads

Bought for a full day assessment centre job interview. As recommended I purchased 1 size down from my usual tshirt size and this was the correct choice. This undershirt should be skin tight yet still comfortable which it was. I'm somebody who has always suffered from hypohydrosis. I ALWAYS take a jacket or coat with me which I use to cover up sweat, and hide my embarrassment, but this ultimately makes the problem worse. For this job interview though, I had to wear a smart office shirt without a jacket (company dress code). Within 30 minutes I would usually have underarm sweat marks and back sweat showing through the shirt as large wet patches. With this undershirt on, absolutely NOTHING!! Dry throughout the entire day! As there is no padding on the back (just underarms), I worried that my back would still be vulnerable, however the 95% bamboo material did an excellent job of absorption, not allowing any moisture to break through to my outer officewear. To emphasise, this was in the U.K. on the hottest day in over 40 years (35°c), in an office block without air conditioning, doing team-building tasks that required physical hard work. After the team-building task, all candidates were sweating profusely from the face, including me, however I was one of the few without a mark on my shirt. This allowed me to stay calm and focus on the interview, without worrying about embarrising marks I would usually have had on my shirt. I did well at the interview and this product completely improved my confidence on the day. As someone that has uncontrollable sweat on even cold days, the fact this undershirt did its job in much hotter conditions and in a stressful situation, is nothing short of a miracle! After a short while of wearing the shirt, I didn't really notice I had it on; this is also why it's important that the undershirt is not a lose fit, it should be skin tight but not uncomfortable. The shirt is unnoticebale to others looking at you, there's nothing to suggest you are wearing anything other than an office shirt by itself. If the idea of wearing formal shirts and certain colours fills you with dread, give this a try. It's expensive yes, but if you suffer from hypohydrosis, it's a small price to pay to get your confidence back. I paid for this product myself and have written this review as an unbiased reaction to my experience with the undershirt.

I bought this product for my husband who suffers with embarrassing wet rings when wearing coloured shirts. He always wears an undershirt but these were not doing the job. I saw this product online and ordered a couple for him to try. He tried it on a particularly hot day and was very very impressed. Nothing at all showed through to his outer shirt. The only point he made was that his armpits felt very wet but once he got used to it, it was fine. Fantastic product to finally get rid of those horrible looking wet patches. The size and fitting was also great.

This is perfect, had this for 2 years now and it's still going strong, not a drop of sweat shows through this thing, I bought this for the same reason as everyone else which is excessive sweating and embarrassing wet patches showing through my shirt, I work in a place that is very hot even during the middle of winter, I tried a few different methods to help with it, antiperspirants did nothing, sweat absorbent pads didn't last long, but then I discovered this and it has finally solved my problem

I've had hyperhidrosis for as long as I can remember - sweating through dress shirts for events and interviews before I even left the house. I know the feeling of added stress that comes with knowing you are showing and I've tried all sorts of remedies. These shirts work. They work so well that I managed to go for a job interview on the hottest day of June 2018 in one and my shirt stayed dry. My wardrobe now includes dark shirts. And some are nylon. They feel expensive so if you are looking at one for the first time, trust me that the investment works. Through time I've built up a stack of more than enough to see me through the week.

Great product, does the job well and I’ve had some for a couple of years. I would buy more but unfortunately there is never any stock of beige. It seems the provider cannot manage stock control. And no, I won’t pay stupid money to have them sent from USA.

I saw a review of these on Youtube and I went on to purchase 5 of these. I mainly wear extra slim fit Charles Tyrwhitt shirts, or fitted TM Lewin. They are slightly fairly on the white shirts, which is a bit of a drawback, but mainly I wear blue, blue/white and they are barely visible. I am 5 ft 9, lean and the medium fits well. It is a bit strange at first, but you get used to them. It is really nothing major and if you are not a heavy sweater, then the sweat that does form is barely noticeable (for yourself to to feel, not others to see). The material is very stretchy, almost like gym gear. They work perfectly to stop armpit sweat marks, however the main downside is that they are very close and it makes you quite hot, especially on the underground. That said, I have been wearing these every day for last 3 months while commuting to London (40 mins on tube) and sweat has not broken anywhere, nor have I got to the point of wishing I was not wearing it at the time. They do need to be more breathable, which is why for summer they will probably not be suitable for heavier sweaters, but I look forward to wearing them in the colder seasons. I have seen some reviews saying that they discolour, but I have not found this with mine. Perhaps this is because I cycle through the 5 I have though. I would recommend buying these tshirts if you are a medium sweater, have nice shirts and don't spend too long in a close/hot environment. If you haven't heard of it, a product I would also recommend is TripleDry. It is a roll on deodorant that you use at night time. Check it out.

I work in the film production industry and during shoots am usually running around sweating like Niagara Falls. I used this recently and can confirm that during a 12hr stint, not one drop of sweat made its way to my layered shirt on top. It also meant that sweat odour was non existent, so I felt very confident throughout the day.

Wow! bought this for work as I have hyperhidrosis in my armpits and being summer my shirts would be terribly soaked before I'd even reach the office. Never nice. Saw this in a review and bought it, tried it on with a pink shirt the day after it arrived and wow! I was impressed. The underarm pads were soaked by the end of the day but not a drop made it through to the shirt! I've so far washed and worn this t-shirt everyday and it's survived about 10 washes so far, that's with Tumble drying on a low heat each night. Very stretchy and as others said get a size smaller than your usual size so it is snug. As can be seen in the model photo there is extra material, I think this is so even the most rotund of gentlemen has enough to go over the spare tyre :D It's been a god send especially in this 30 deg C heat we've been having! Can't recommend this enough! :)
