HARDROCK Metal Ammo Can, Ammo Box

I bought this mainly for storage and I’m really happy with it. It feels solid and heavier duty than I expected for the price. The lid opens and closes smoothly, and the seal gives me some extra confidence that whatever I’m storing inside is protected from dust and moisture. It’s also a good size without being ridiculously bulky, so it’s easy enough to move around when I need to. Nothing complicated about it, just a sturdy metal box that feels like it’ll last a long time. Definitely happy with the purchase.

It’s exactly what it claims to be. Haha not much to review it is a metal ammo can. Condition is excellent looks brand new and the rubber gasket looks great. The seal seems very solid. The locking mechanism is secure and does give you the option to zip tie/lock the box if you wanted.

These are solid M2A1 “.50 cal” cans. Well made and well-packaged for shipment. I liked that they were available in black and with no logos or brand labels on them. They are powder coated, not spray-painted. I think they also have zinc phosphate primer. One minor thing…on some of the cans, I could tell from the imprint on the gasket that the rear wall by the hinge was not sealing properly. I pulled the gasket out and swapped (rotated) front and rear and reinstalled from front to rear while pulling gently so that there was extra “slack” and the rear part of the gasket would sit as far back in the lid as possible. After closing and latching and checking later, I could see that the rear wall impression was centered on the gasket, as were the three other walls. There is slop built into the hinge, so if you want a perfect seal, eyeball and make sure that the lid is centered (left and right) before securing the latch.

I can’t even find metal ones at Scheels. Very good quality. I am satisfied with this product.

Both of these ammo cans came together and they are excellent. The shipping was excellent. I am very happy with my purchase. I highly recommend this.

These are great! Well built and tight seal.

It's a decent can. The finish is good, but the fit and closure of the lid and latch aren't quite on par with similar steel cans I've owned.

I'm using these to store LiPo batteries(remove the gasket) so they're not just for ammo, very versatile. The locking mechanism was very solid until I removed the gasket, now it works but it isn't tight, that's fine. If using them for LiPo protection you want the gases/smoke to be able to escape without letting the flames out. The two boxes came in perfect condition, look great, offer good protection from a LiPo fire and are a great value for the money. I have them stacked on a shelf in my garage. Note: They're also a great canvas for all of those RC stickers you get but don't know what to do with.
