Evoke C-D4

I am very impressed with this Pure Evoke. It has very good sound for such a compact product. It was easy to set up though the documentation is very limited. I was a little concerned about the CD because of some of the reviews but mine has turned out to be an excellent addition. I prefer to use the handheld controller to manage the set though this is less effective as you move even a short distance away from the set. This is not a problem for me but others might find it irritating. The Bluetooth works well with my iPad and iPod. What is more I can get good DAB reception in what is a poor reception area and one where some of my other DAB radios have failed, including my more powerful Denon. Overall I am very impressed and pleased to have bought the Pure Evoke.

Good Audio, Nice Product. However, no manual, either hard copy, nor on line! I need to know how to delete a stored channel, but unable to find out how!

Easy to set up and really easy to use

Thought at first this would have to go back because it will not tune into any fm stations. (It is in the kitchen and reception is not great but other radios manage.) However the dab radio is excellent so we are using that for radio. The other sources such as Bluetooth and cd are excellent. For a small unit the sound is good. It is excellent in the kitchen where bench space is at a premium.

Ordered this in November for my son for Christmas. Opened it Christmas morning to find it wouldn’t play CD’s. Requested a replacement, which arrived the day after Boxing Day. This one recognised the CD’s but kept stopping and switching off intermittently. Returned this one and ordered a different make, which was £80 cheaper and has internet radio. I have a number of Pure radios, one I’ve had for nearly twenty years, and they’ve never let me down, however getting two that were defective makes me wonder if Pure is relying on it’s reputation. This seemed like a really well made product and looks beautiful, and the sound quality was excellent, such a pity about the CD player. I didn’t test the sleep mode, however I’ve only given the remote one star as this also worked intermittently unless it was about two feet from the radio, which defeats the object.

After treating myself to another make and model, that turned out to be really disappointing, I went back to sourcing something more reliable. The reviews were good but not perfect but I took the plunge anyway. And I'm so pleased I did. The sound quality is excellent and there's a great choice of stations (the last radio found it hard to play more than one!). All in all this one was definitely worth the money.

I absolutely love this radio. I thought long and hard about buying this but after a lot of research I went for it. I think there’s a lot of truth in the saying, “you only get what you pay for.” It does everything I want from DAB radio with all my favourite channels, streaming Spotify from my iPad, but also playing my CD’s when I feel the need (being of that generation) lol. The sound is great and I can store my favourite channels. Yes all in all I am very pleased with this good looking little radio.

This is an easy to set up unit, nice quality. I particularly liked the CD player, something you just don’t get these days in most modern radio’s. Very happy.

Devo dire che supera le mie aspettative, ottimo prodotto. Ha un buon suono pulito, l’unica problema è il manuale scarno che rende difficile impostare alcune funzioni, ma per il resto non mi lamento

il sistema e' ottimo in relazione alle dimensioni e al prezzo inoltre il design retro' ma semplice, lo rende veramente piacevole inserendosi bene anche nell'arredamento.

Schöne kleine Anlage im Retro-Look. Einfache Bedienung , guter Klang. Habe sie im Büro stehen und freu mich morgens , wenn ich sie anmache :)

Da meine Tochter in England lebt, hätte ich gerne BBC gehört! Internetradio Fehlanzeige! Ist damit der Preis noch gerechtfertigt?! In der Fernsteuerung fehlte die Batterie. Ansonsten tut das Gerät bisher seinen Dienst in unserer Küche zur Zufriedenheit.
