OVENTE 1.8L Glass Electric Kettle with Tea Infuser, Silver KG6610S

All features are easy to use. Nice design, good quality and water heating is very fast which exceed my expectation. The Keep Warm feature is actually very easy to use, just click the Keep Warm button, set the temperature, then it will keep water at that temperature for two hours. You should see the a blue light flashing at kettle bottom when it's in keep warm status. You will hear a beep when the keep warm time is end. I am very happy with this kettle which has same features as my previous expensive one, but cost less than half.

Update!! 8/17/2023... Finally was able to get the manufacturer to get a hold of us and they were REALLY nice and got all the information and we got a new one coming free of charge! It's under a 3 year warranty once purchased! Great customer service and just absolutely LOVE this tea kettle!!! Thank you for getting back to us!!! We are thinking of getting another if this lid doesn't give us as much problems. Still worth it! We loved this when we started to use it for coffee. It's far better then a French press as it boils and steeps at the same time! BUT...the rubber outter ring around the larger part of the lid has broken off almost all the way. And we JUST MISSED the return time by ONE DAY when it broke! We have tried to contact the manufacturer and NO ONE will get back with us about it!! So SAVE YOUR MONEY!! If it weren't for being ignored on the customer service end of the manufacturer, and we were able to get a replacement, then it would be a 5 star!! But customer service and communication goes A LONG WAY! Get back with us about a replacement, and we will change this to a better rating!

I am very pleased with this Electric Water Kettle. At no additional charge, I selected a Separate Amazon Prime Box to contain it, and it arrived in perfect condition. Performance wise, it takes about 7.5 minutes to go from +70F to +212F, but that's still faster than heating the same amount of water in an aluminum pot on my Gas Stove... plus, it has multiple Water Temperature Settings, with a Digital Thermometer Readout, so I can use it to properly set the brewing temperature, for each of the 6 Different kinds of Teas. I prefer to separately brew my Teas, in their own Brewing Container (Seasoned Clay Tea Pot), following the Chinese GongFu Brewing Method of making Tea, and this Water Kettle is the perfect source for proper Water Temperature, so I don't use the Insert that came with the Electric Water Kettle. The Electric Water Kettle's main body is made of Borosilicate Glass... tough as nails, and easy to keep clean, to continue enjoying clear visual observation of what's going on inside the Kettle. What more can you ask for? It's designed to operate at 62.5% of a 20amp 120VAC outlet, giving you a 37.5% margin of operation, which is plenty, if you don't plug anything else into the same outlet. I'm giving this a 5-STAR Rating, and Highly Recommended, so I say, "GO FOR IT... !!!" UPDATE: July 14, 2024 -- It's been Four Months since I've received and put this Electric Kettle into use, and I'm averaging between 8 to 12 MAXIMUM Levels of Water to heat up, every day, without fail... and I am Very Pleased with it's RELIABILITY to go Exactly to the Water Temperature I set it for, as the Many Kinds of ASIAN Teas I drink (Matcha, Sencha, Gokuro, Fukamushi, Genmaicha, and more... have Different Water Brewing Temperatures (usually NOT Boiling... that will RUIN the Tea!!!). When I do need Boiling (+212F) Water, like for Oolong, Black, and Puerh Teas, that's also never a problem. Throw in the Instant RAMEN I also eat regularly, and this Electric Kettle has RELIABLY continued to be more than a GREAT VALUE!!!

So, my biggest reason I bought this was cause it keeps my tea warm for at least 2 hours and it shuts itself off. I like that it’s easy to clean unlike another I had which was a pain!!! The bottom that the tea jar lays in to me is kind of cheap, but not a huge complaint… It’s really the buzzing noise that it will do that totally annoys me…. I looked all over trying to find out where it was coming from … It’s not loud, but for me, loud enough that it bothered me… I was shocked that it was this and can’t figure out why it would be… So, if I send it back, it would be cause of the buzzing noise… other than that… I like it… So, if that don’t bother you and maybe there is something wrong with mine… I will ask the company… I would absolutely suggest trying this out… Like I said … It’s super easy to clean…

Update: 11/5/2025. The writing is coming off so far the keep warm. Still loving the tea kettle though. Do not keep warm on 212. It tends to boil over also mind the amount of water you put in the kettle. Excited to use it. Just received 10/27/25. Also delivered 3 days earlier than expected. Delivery was UPS. I just descaled it. I will update when I actually make tea with it. Also, I have had this brand before it's dinner me well. I'm glad they came out with tea diffuser connected ( for loose tea) ❤️Update: loving it. Made my first pot of tea. I love the keep warm feature. I have been driving hot tea most of the day.

Previously I wrote: "I use this daily. It's reliable and consistent. At first the controls were a bit confusing, but overall a great value. Fast to heat, maintains temperature. No nonsense." Now less than 1 year after purchase this is simply dead. Won't power on. Cleaned the electrical contacts between the kettle and base... nothing. Tried a different outlet... nothing. So now it's useful for... nothing. Do not buy. Unreliable.

It is nice and pretty, however, the area where you select the up and down temperature wore off within a few months.

First thing to know, you do need to run this through at least two cycles. The order from the first brew was awful. Thought it was a bad unit at first but after three or four brews the order went away. It's now brewing perfectly. One other note, it works better plugged directly into an outlet. On a power strip it will still work but it will trip the breaker sometimes. This works and keeps the water hot so you can get a couple of cups before the water gets cold. For me the bigest advantage this gives me is in tea production. With the temperature controlled boils I get a better tasting tea, a good tasting tea. Other methods I've tried can't compare.
