Great for kids. They can rub colors together to make new colors.

My budding artist loves these! I wanted to go beyond the usual crayons and markers and art kits and get her more sophisticated and open-ended art supplies for Hanukkah. I asked her wonderful art teacher for advice and she suggested the chubbies because their girth makes them easier for little hands to grasp and use and they are very durable. They don't break! They are very easy to use, not messy, can provide cool effects when used with watercolors, and have rich depth of color. I highly recommend them.

Excellent product

Bright colors, easy to draw with, put down more color on the page than traditional crayons (crayola, etc). Great for younger kids. These are the large diameter version - you can get the small-diameter set with more colors for the same price, but the overall weight/volume is similar, and for most kids the more limited color range is sufficient.

My grand daughter was thrilled to get these. She is 6. She used them and then paint water colors over them. The craypas resisted the water color...just what she was hoping for.
