I usually don’t write reviews but I had to for this product. I was in San Diego and rented a car that used one of these for the backup camera and I was quite impressed. He had it hardwired into the vehicle and the camera was placed outside of the vehicle. I did notice some glare from headlights behind me, and while annoying, it wasn’t a deal breaker. Most of the time when we’re backing up, headlights aren’t blasting us or hindering us enough. If you buy the larger 12” camera you can get a glare screen. The 10” doesn’t have one available to buy. Hopefully Wolfbox reconsiders. My mirror is small so I went with the smaller version. I purchased a newer rearview mirror camera model for my Audi Q5, and rather than place it outside the vehicle, I placed it inside my rearview window believing my tint would cut down on the glare. It worked and it works phenomenally. I would suggest doing this. I didn’t hardwire it and it took me and my girlfriend about 15 mins to center the camera and tuck the wires. Super easy install and plenty of videos to help if you’re doubting your capabilities. Easier to do with another person just for centering the camera. This is a great product and when I considered installing an OEM rearview camera my quotes were between $800-$1000 so this is was a much more affordable option. I’m still considering the OEM but this addressed my immediate need for a safety feature I enjoy. The camera allows you to see a wider view than just your rearview and the video is crisp and clear. It actually can pick up some of your blind spots which compliments my blind spot mirrors (also purchased from Amazon). The front camera is 4k and the rears camera is 1080 but works well both during the night and day. I’m very pleased with this purchase

This is long so the subject is indexed: 1. My motivation may not be the same as yours 2. Obscured front view 3. Rear camera mounting: easy vs difficult 4. Red wire to backup light. Not needed 5. File sizes and SD card size 6. The app 7. Op. ed. 1. My motivation for getting this dashcam was to get better view out the back. Like most modern cars, there are awful blind spots due to the very large C pillars. If I am getting a camera, it might as well record the general numskullery on the road. That makes the forward looking camera a nice to have instead of the primary motivation. 2. My 2026 Solterra has an electronics package mounted to the windshield ahead of the rear view mirror, and then there are black dots on the windshield around the box. This obscures about ¼ of the front camera image. I was not looking for forward image capture so it is an acceptable compromise for me. It is something to consider if you are looking for any dashcam. 3. Mounting the rear camera outside as recommended is a horrible nuisance because of how cars are assembled. To route the camera cable requires removing the rear hatch inner panel. Inner panels are held on with panel clips. I call them snaps because of the sound they make when they break -and they always break. Good luck trying to figure out which size and shape clip you need for your car, on that panel, in that location of the panel. I mounted my rear camera to the glass on the inside so I did not have to disassemble the rear hatch panel. The Z hinge that was provided with the camera (in a separate bag) gave me the flexibility I needed in aiming the camera. I used command strips instead of the 3M double sticky tape provided. It allowed me to test a lot of mounting locations. Occasionally, I get some glare from the window, but it is not that bad. If you have the skill set and patience to deal with removing the back hatch panel, mounting the camera outside above the license plate will get better visibility. If it rains, it may get water sitting on the lens making it impossible to see. That happened on an old installation of a Wolfbox G840 on my Honda CR-V. (I replaced a lot of snaps) 4. The red wire is intended to be attached to a backup light. It will not work on a modern car. Lights used to be powered with 12v directly to the bulb when the bulb was turned on. Now, the lights have 12v at all times and they car commanded to be turned on via the digital CAN bus. Just put some tape on the end of the wire and hide it. My car has a nice backup camera with guidance lines. 5. The 64GB SD card should be able to record about 6 hours of video from the front and back cameras based on file sizes. 2 minutes of video results in 204MB from the 4k front camera and 143MB from the rear 1080p camera. File format is mp4. 6. The app asks for too much information. I will not use it. I can remove the SD card and simply get images off of the card using my PC. 7. This is a nice dashcam that does what I want. I am a repeat customer so I know the Wolfbox products and good customer service. Install is as simple as I can imagine. Car manufacturers should be ashamed of themselves. Philips head screws work just fine -the snaps do not.

This is one of those things (like insurance) you should have but hope you never need. I wanted a dashcam that had a rear camera for several things, not least that the rear camera in my Ranger is on the tailgate and is useless as soon as it's down for hauling long items. Also blocked by trailer, etc. Mounted this high on the rear window inside (cobbled bracket and some 2-sided tape) so I could see over box content better than the standard rear-view. This works all the time as a rear-view and rear camera. For some reason it seems like the brightness control is a little off--image is a little dark sometimes. Maybe there's a setting I haven't found to adjust this. Need to read the little manual. (And I mean little--printed instructions are tiny! Fortunately the installation was pretty straightforward for me and I didn't need to consult them. Much.) Haven't tried downloading any vids yet so no comment regarding resolution, etc--described as 4K(F)/1K(R). Images while driving and standing still are usable. (Many online dashcam channels mention that the live view is a lot closer than the video images suggest and I can confirm this, at least.) The GPS seems good--indicating speed same a my speedometer. Assume location is also accurate, but no way to tell. The screen is bright enough for day and night driving without being distracting, and the image displayed is pretty clear. Also a good size--large enough to be usable without being distracting or blocking any of the windshield direct view area. FYI the front camera image is taller than the screen can show, and you can use a slider (in the settings) to position the image up/down. Mounted to the dash tray using the mounting arm kit (sold separately), which works fine. (Had to cobble up a few things out of junk-drawer items to make it work, but that's why you never throw things out!) I also used the Permanent Wiring kit so that is can stay alive while parked, just in case. I unplug the camera (USB-C) when parked at home to avoid draining the battery--not sure this is necessary. So, first impressions--it starts up quick when I start the truck, it looks good without being obtrusive, and it's doing what I expected it to.

Wasn't sure what to expect when I purchased it but, I must say, I'm impressed! From the packaging to the installation kit, to the unit itself, I honestly can't believe the quality for the price. It installed easily and I'm very happy. It doesn't cover the old mirror 100% but I don't think I need to spend the extra money to cover it totally. Only the far right side is visible and only from the passenger seat. Great product at an amazing price! UPDATE: Okay, I’ve had the mirror for a week now and some of the luster has faded. Yes, I still feel it’s well worth the price but, there ARE a few issues that should be considered, and there ARE some issues that remain a mystery to me. The first, and probably most important issue is that Wolfbox has some great products and flashy advertising but, it’s hard to find specific details that would allow customers to decide which model of their dash cam/mirror product line that meets their needs best. Example: what are the specific differences between the G930 and G900? I understand that the G900 is 12” (G930 is 10”) and has a slightly better rear camera but, it’s twice the price! Aren’t the front cameras on both the same? Are there features that set them apart? When you read the product descriptions, there doesn’t appear to be a reason to step up to the G900. Also, if I decide to upgrade the rear camera on my G930, can I utilize the already installed rear camera harness from the G930? Since these type of questions simply can’t be answered by reading the company’s product descriptions, I went to the customer reviews to see whether the WDR rear camera on the G900 was really worth the extra money. After reading the reviews, it seems like the WDR camera is slightly better but still suffers from most of the performance issues the more basic camera does, just to a lesser degree. Another issue is that while the G900 is 2” wider, it’s camera is fixed whereas the one on the G930 slides out to the side over an inch. Bottom line, they mount differently so you need to know that BEFORE you buy. Product issues and details aside, the big surprise for me was the poor customer service. So many reviews tout the great customer service but, when I sent them a message about my concerns and questions, all I got back was answers covering my concerns that could be handled by purchasing accessories from them like the WDR rear camera and the anti-glare film for the mirror. Bottom line, the rear camera is great under ideal lighting conditions. Otherwise, it’s pretty bad. If there’s any light directed towards it, like if it’s facing a nice sunny sky, it dims way down. Headlights of following vehicles at night cause bright flares. The rear camera is VERY wide angle. That’s great for uncovering blind spots but vehicles that are relatively close now appear very far away. The mirror itself has no anti-glare coating so the glare is so bad it makes it unusable, especially in sunny conditions. My work around is to tilt it down and towards me. All but eliminates the glare but compromises the aim of the forward camera. I intend to try their anti-glare film but I suspect it will compromise the clarity of the mirror display. Playing back the videos uncovered more problems. Wolfbox suggests you use only their proprietary video player software. Going so far as to say Microsoft’s Media Player won’t work. In fact, it DOES work, it just doesn’t group the files as well as the Wolfbox app. And regarding the playback, depending on how you mount the rear camera, the video will play back upside down. Unfortunately, even though there IS a setting in the mirror to invert the image that is displayed, it doesn’t also make that correction to the video file. One last point about the video playback; I noticed poor image quality and an inability to advance frame by frame on the player without losing the image totally. Turns out it was caused by the Micro SD card that came with the unit. I replaced it with a Sandisk Extreme V30 and the image issues went away.

This mirror is a very nice thing to have in my truck. The camera view being able to pan up/down is pretty neat and doesn't affect what's saved to the SD card. The camera resolution seems to be pretty good. Vision at night is about as good as it can be on the rear camera, given the lighting situation... It's excellent on the front camera given that you're not one of those drivers that doesn't believe in driving with lights... The GPS module keeps up with vehicle speed pretty well. However, despite all these good things, I must mention that my one issue that I have with this is that a black box with a lock symbol on it appears on the screen OFTEN, blocking the view on the mirror. At this point, I end up driving with the screen off and using it as a normal mirror while it still records in the background. *****EDIT: I was contacted by Alia from Wolfbox regarding the "black box with a lock symbol". Apparently that means that the G-sensor has detected enough force to think that there may have been a collision, and thus saves the current recording from being overwritten later on. Very good feature, I just wish that they would've made that a little more clear. Setting the sensitivity to Low fixed this issue. I drove 45 miles today without incident. I've been very happy about it :) I should mention that I was initially offered a refund on the mirror. I didn't know I was even being contacted until I checked my email for something entirely unrelated, and after a while, Alia had let me know what that lock was about. By the end, I was offered a free hardwire kit. Funny enough, I actually bought one with this mirror. But I didn't take the refund, nor the hardwire kit. If Wolfbox would make the "collision detected" lock's purpose more clear on the mirror (rather than just a mysterious lock), then I would be perfectly content with it. But again, otherwise, I have nothing but good things to say about this product. I love it, it's great (now that I know there's nothing wrong with it other than the G-sensor having its sensitivity too high), and I've caught video of many rude and reckless drivers that shouldn't've even been able to get their license out of that cereal box. Love this mirror. I installed it in my 2015 Rubicon JK. My rear tire is mounted in the cargo area and I couldn’t see out the back. I went back and forth with what version to buy. I decided on the 930 because of the size. In a jeep, it matters because of the visors. Works well, looks great, zero issues and the camera was super easy to install and both the front and rear cameras are good enough quality. There is zero reason to connect it to a reverse light for those interested. Video is easy to find and download if needed. I have the hardwire kit that I didn’t wire up yet, but the lighter plug works fine for now. For roughly $100, this was the best value by far. Buy the windshield mount for best results and cleanest look.

I ordered my Wolfbox G930 a few weeks ago, and a few days later went to install it. As recommended in the user guide, I tested the device before doing the "actual" install in my vehicle (a golf cart). While the cameras, gps and mirror worked immediately, I could not get any of the Menu functions to work. It was completely unresponsive to my finger presses on the touch screen. I contacted Wolfbox Custeromer Service directly from their website, describing the problem. I received a quick email response from Bonnie (Customer Service Rep) giving me a few steps to try. Unfortunately, those steps did not work, but without any hesitation or complaint, Bonnie immediately asked for my address so that she could get the factory to send me a new unit. After a few days the new unit arrived and I tested that immediately and nervously. Very happy to say this one worked flawlessly and I was able to get into the menu. I went through all settings options to view and/or change them, and then installed it in my Golf Cart which has very limited view in the original rear view mirror. The install was easy, essentially just routing the wires around the inside to where they needed to be. The images from both front and rear cameras are awesome, really clear and nice wide angles. I chose the Wolfbox G930 based on reviews both here on Amazon as well as other sources. For a moment I thought I had made a big mistake and was on the verge of returning it and searching for another brand. Fortunately, Ms. Bonnie saved the day with her combination of helpfulness, respectful, polite and positive attitude, and prompt actions. She just sent me a return shipping label so that the original device can go back to help them figure out what the problem wad. THANK YOU BONNIE. I have another golf cart, and a car, and will almost certainly be putting a G930 into those. The G930 has a great combination of price/value, function and, despite the original problem, quality. It records from both cameras simultaneously, has great image quality, has included GPS in case of accidents, and is pretty simple to install (but test before installing). Highly recommended!

I've had 2 others with this same format where the rear view mirror is the monitor for the dash cam and backup cam. I have the least complaints about this one. The settings menus are pretty easy to understand without having to refer to a manual in bad English. There are a lot of useful settings to customize your experience. The GPS module is pretty accurate in showing your speed and direction. There's even a setting to fine tune the speed if it's a little off. Using it as an actual mirror is pretty good. The reflected image isn't as perfect as a real mirror, but it's a lot less distorted than the other 2 mirrors I've used. Night vision is very good. The other 2 systems had reverse cams that had LED lights come on to illuminate in reverse. This one shows a clear, bright image without needing any extra lighting. Here are my gripes: It should come with a cable longer than 20ft: I bought the optional 33ft cable. The description claims the standard 20ft cable is sufficient for most applications, but this isn't true. I have a short GMC truck (regular cab, short bed). If you run the wiring the correct way (out the firewall, along the left chassis rail, to the license plate) it's about 3ft too short. Note: The other 2 systems I've used had cables that were too short as well. At least this had the option of buying a longer cable. It should come with a hardwired power adapter instead of a cigarette lighter plug. What I mean is, the power hookup should be wires instead of having to plug it into a cigarette lighter socket. One thing installation instruction wasn't clear on is you should connect it to a power source that's only on when the ignition is on, not one that's always on. If your cigarette lighter socket is always on, your screwed. Your options are to rewire the lighter socket to an ignition circuit, buy a cigarette lighter socket that you can wire to ignition, or what I did; busted open the provided plug and soldered wires to it so I could hard wire to an ignition circuit.` Default monitor mode: This is what's displayed when your ignition is on. Your options are 1) split screen (front cam on left, back cam on right), 2) front cam, or 3) rear cam. How about no display? What if you want to use the mirror as a mirror? Well, there is a button on the bottom you can press to turn off the display. But you'll have to press that button every time you start the car. Note: this is mostly a problem for me because I'm near sighted. Anything closer than 3 feet of my face is blurry. The rear cam display is too blurry for me to use while driving. Rear cam display mode is too focused and it's focused on the wrong area. In split screen display mode, you can see the entire rear cam's field of view. But if you have it set to display just the rear cam, the image is focused on a very small area and its focus is too low to the ground. All you'll see is about 10 square feet of the pavement. I can see why they did this. It's because they want to fill in the entire width of the rear view mirror with the camera's image. But it causes too much to get cropped. Now, when you put the car in reverse it goes into backup display mode. Initially the cropping also happens. But in backup display display mode you can set it to show the entire image. The display will only show a rectangular image that fills about 1/2 the mirror's surface, but at least you get the entire field of view. In rear cam display mode this setting is not available. Reverse guide lines: It's nice that you can adjust the lines to correct the perspective. But I wish I could turn them off entirely. I never found them useful and the lines here are too fat and distracting.

10/10. Must have for older cars/SUVs with poor rear visibility. Honestly a gamechanger for our car, particularly at night as we have tints on the glass and it can make it tricky to see what’s what. Your field of view also dramatically increases letting you see more of what’s going on behind you. Installation can be a little tricky if you want to hardwire it. I’d recommend watching a few YouTube videos. If you don’t care about a dangling wire you can just run it through your cigarette lighter but I wanted it to be as close to factory as possible. Extra bonus of having a front and rear crash cam included is a great addition.

Ya tengo tiempo usando, si conectas a tomacorriente del auto, tener cuidado porque en 1 día sin mover me consumió la batería. Al pinchar grabaciones de interés con candado y buscarlas no aparecen, solo a través de wifi aparecen pero en previsualización no. Fuera de esos detalles mínimos en 2 años no a fallado y las imágenes son impecables, la robustez de la cámara trasera inigualable, el lente delantero aunque medio flojo y aguado para el ajuste se ve excelente. Lo recomiendo.

montato su MG ZS 2024 per aiutarmi nelle retromarce in uscita dal box auto che è direttamente sulla strada e particolarmente pericoloso. Se avesse un angolo di visuale maggiore sarebbe meglio ma alla fine il suo lavoro lo fa quindi ok. La qualità dell'immagine fa il suo dovere, sia di giorno che di notte. Il montaggio nella MG ZS è facile anche se lo spazio per gli attacchi sopra allo specchietto è un po' risicato.
