4" Cold Air Intake for 1999-2006 Chevy/GMC 4.8L 5.3L 6.0L V8 BK

Five stars because for 50$ it’s doing exactly what it’s supposed to do 👍 My original air box had cracks and holes, made my MAF sensor read incorrectly. This made the check engine light go away and the MAF is reading correctly! For 50$ though you have to “make it work” You HAVE TO reuse one of the couplers and hose clamps from your Original air box to secure the MAF Sensor to the Air Filter. Then the MAF Sensor Assembly will slide into the Cold Air pipe. You have to slide the coupler from the pipe all the way to the MAF Sensor until it can’t go no more and tighten the clamp HARD. The “Box” it comes with needs modifying too. The holes do line up with the tray underneath, I only had to drill one tab on the metal “box” The rubber grommet that supports the pipe, I couldn’t get to line up so the tab on the pipe is resting on top of the grommet. It’s a really snug fit once you get it all in there, but I am happy the way it turned out!

FIT PERFECTLY. A LITTLE COMMON SENSE HELPS. NO INSTRUCTIONS ARE INCLUDED BUT IT'S EASY TO FIGURE IT OUT. YOU CAN HEAR THE MOTOR BREATHING BETTER AND MORE POWER.

Great fit works just as well as some of the high priced name brands with a fraction of the cost

Product works great and was easy to install! Only issue I ran into was mounting the box/filter enclosure (although I may just be a noob). I have a 2011 Tahoe and nothing lined up. There are also no instructions, so what I wound up doing was threading a bolt through the top right hole and the stock intake’s bottom plate plug hole. No check engine lights when I turned on the vehicle. I had unplugged the battery before install and installed the mass air flow sensor properly. Very small difference made to engine temp, but definitely slightly more power, and the sound is great. Might cut hood vents next for added temp decrease.

Missing parts had to go buy parts from auto store

Works good pretty good quality just make sure you put the box in right the last thing you want is to get water in your intake other than that worth the buy make sure you put the seals on and take the factory box completely out

No instructions or link for installation instructions. I’ve done enough of these it’s not rocket science but for someone that hasn’t worked on cars much might struggle. So if you aren’t familiar with cold air intakes or work on vehicles don’t buy this one. It’s a cheap price but that doesn’t matter if you can’t install it.
