VERY bright for such a small package. 100W is a significant amount of light. As a tool to light up a background in a room or add some color to it, it’s awesome. THE best I have for this purpose. The lighter wands don’t have the power of this one. So all of the effects, the colors, and the CCT lights are highly useable for lighting a background. Also, very good for a hair light. The modifiers and, especially, the barn doors make this very useful in creating lighting effects. You can create a thin light with the barn doors and the baffles are narrow enough to serve as a bit of a gobo to look like blinds. I created a great sunset through blinds looks with the baffle. I have baffles with another set and they don’t create the same effect. The barn doors are unique for any wand I have and make this wand very useful. Mounting options are limited to a 1/4 20 on the bottom, clamping the handle or hand holding. No magnets. That puts it in a different category than some of the other wands I have. In a pinch, the softbox modifier on the barn doors can make this into a key light. It is still a small light source. But, you may want that look for your situation. It won’t replace a 42” softbox for the look no matter how close you get it to your subject. Softening up the light for small product photography, definitely an option. If you carefully balance, you can get it to stand vertically on a flat surface, but it isn’t secure. Wish it could stand on its own too. This is a great lighting tool and very different from other wands. If you have the right use cases, it’s awesome.

It's super bright when you go 100w But also when you go 100W, the battery drains quicker, would only last 30 mins. But if you operate at 50 watt, it would probably have over 1 hrs of use. I believe the fan kicks in when you go 100w. I haven't heard the cooling fan kicks in lower wattage. The RGB doesn't have the 100W capability, only the CCT MODE. I actually flimed a dance video with it. All in all, pretty good, because no light bar in the market can offer such a brightness, although i will probably buy a AC power adapter if i intended to use the 100w. Also can use PD charger to charge the light when use it. Thats also very useful. The bran door and soft box that came with it, it's legit, and save a bunch of money from buying extras.

I used this light to take photos using different colors of light. I like how portable it is and the fan isn't loud when the brightness is on max settings. I'm surprised that the battery lasts a long time; I've even used this as a night light and 1% brightness, so I can read at night. The different colors and modes is really cool specially if you're going for a creative photo shoot using different colors. What I like most of about it is that you can keep it plugged in for extended use and can even be mounted on the same size of screw on most gimbals/tripods. The con that I can think of is that the certain colors aren't as vivid when the light is on max, but other than that, it's great for what it can do.
