If the line is really faint and you’re straining to see it, it may be too early to test or your urine is watered down. To be sure, it is recommended to retest after three days.

If you test early, your hCG hormone levels may be still be low and you'll see a faint positive line. You can avoid getting faint line use first urine in the morning if testing early and don’t drink too much liquid before testing.

Evaporation Line:
An evaporation line is a slight streak that appears where the positive line on a pregnancy test should be. Evaporation lines are colorless streaks, not faint lines. They typically appear if a person waits for longer than the suggested time to read the test result. Suggested to follow testing protocol.
