Oh i love this! Small but perfect
Oh i love this! Small but perfect! It lives in my bedroom and takes up very little space. I was really surprised when realised this is a CD player - I've not had a CD player for years, always using my laptop of DVD player to play my CDs! I mainly use this for bluetooth, as I can then use my phone as a remote control for it. I've also used Spotify which worked surprisingly well, and Tune in radio is really useful when you don't want to pick your music but know what type of thing you want to listen to! I can't get DAB to tune in though I must say I've not tried very hard, and I've not used some of the other apps because I don't really understand them! The speakers give a lovely rich sound, even when turned up high. I love the tactile knob on the main player which can be used to turn up the volume. The remote control isn't too complex. When switched on, the LED display shows the time and what you're playing. It's not too bright and the lettering is clear. I really like this, it's a great little system and good value at the current price. If you're in the market for a decent bluetooth speaker system, and fancy having some cool apps too, this might be the way to go!. This came with a european plug, not a UK plug, which is a little annoying. However, when I contacted Onkyo they confirmed that a batch had been sent out with the wrong plug in error, and kindly sent me the correct lead. It now works perfectly!

Very flexible system just not great sound
It's like someone took all the ways you can play music developed over the last 25 years and put them into one sound system, only without great sound. The only things that are missing are a cassette deck and a minidisc player (although that would be going back 35 years!) As per the Product Description (which is slightly dodgy when it refers to "gin-clear deatil resolution." Really? Who comes up with this stuff?) it has a CD player (which plays "portable HDDs"), a USB port and facilities for Bluetooth and Chromecast and Fire Connect. The Bluetooth connects quickly and easily. It can also play FM and DAB and it has ports for a Line Out and an Optical Cable but doesn't come with cables for either. It connects to Wifi and plays TuneIn Radio (which you can search by genre using the remote), Spotify, TIDAL and Deezer. So far I have used the CD player, bluetooth, DAB and TuneIn Radio. All worked perfectly and easily. There is also a clock and timer that you program using the remote. It's easy to set up and reminds me of setting up sound systems in the 90s and 2000s. You need to connect the cables with screw in ports and there's an antenna (yes, really!) It comes with batteries for the remote too (2 x AAAs if you're interested). It is exactly as described and you can connect it to a subwoofer-there's a port but no cable for this. And I think it's needed. The sound is what lets this down. It's a great little system, especially if you need lots of options to listen to music but the most basic function, the sound, is not good. The best way to describe it is that the sound lacks depth. It is better at louder volumes. I looked this up and discovered "increasing volume accentuates lower and higher frequencies, which flattens out the listening curve, creating an illusion of power and clarity. That's why things sound better at a louder volume." This system manages to perfectly demonstrate this. I just wish it sounded better.

Top quality music sytem
This is a neat micro music system. On setting it up and arranging it, it looks the business. Better still it delivers. It has Dual Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Chromecast Built-in. It has a DAB+ and FM/RDS Tuner. It comes with High Quality 2 Way Speakers that deliver crisp sound. It looks the business. It sounds divine. I absolutely love this high quality music system.

Onkyo's standards are falling.
I have been very happy with 2 previous Onkyo systems I have owned, and ordered this one with fairly high expectations. However several aspects were a disappointment. Unpacking and setting up the system, it transpired that the full instruction manual was entirely in Polish, the remote control was quite small, the power lead was an EU two pin model, and the control buttons on the unit itself were very small and as dark as the fascia of the unit itself, which made it difficult to read except in very bright light. The sound was a bit of a let down compared to my past experience of Onkyo speakers. Attempting to set up the system without the manual was partly guesswork and took longer than it should have. Equally frustrating was that the Bluetooth sound was very poor. Regrettably I had to return the system to Amazon.

Ho provato tutte le funzionalità, mi sembra molto soddisfacente. Bel display, suono molto buono.
