Performs well
I was not expecting much from this rod in terms of action. The first outing with this rod was fishing bait in a small river, both drifting and ledgering with light weight. The rod was sensitive enough to detect light bites. It was also able to easily handle multiple species of hard fighting fish, including bowfin, channel catfish, and silver redhorsr. When taken down into three pieces this fits easily in a regular backpack or carry on sized bag in its protective tube and will accommodate a reel and some small terminal tackle.
