OxiClean White Revive Powder, 3 Pound

This product really does what it claims to do. It brings my white sheets up to a gleaming standard. I'm proud to see them blowing on the washing line.

A white band T-shirt purchased in the 90’s had mildew marks all over. I soaked in a solution of this and it looks almost as good as new with the image and band name still as bright as the day I bought it. Regular bleach would have bleached the image and band name. I would recommend this product.

This product is amazing. Bought it due to kids school shirts loosing that brilliant white and going grey. One wash with this they have returned to a pure white.

This works noticeably better than regular detergent when it comes to reviving white clothes. I’ve used it on white shirts and towels that were starting to look dull, and after soaking and washing with this powder, they definitely looked brighter. It’s a good alternative to bleach if you don’t want the harsh smell or risk of fabric damage. It also helps with certain stains, especially light discoloration from sweat or general wear. The powder dissolves well in warm water and doesn’t leave residue when used correctly. That said, it’s not a miracle product. For heavily set-in stains, you’ll still need to pre-treat or soak longer. It also works best with warm or hot water, so it’s not as effective in cold cycles. And like most whitening products, consistency matters — one wash won’t completely restore very old fabrics. Overall, it’s a solid option if you want to maintain white clothes without using chlorine bleach. It takes a little effort, but the results are worth it. 4 stars.

I am always suspicious of product reviews that are uniformly positive and raving about a product. This OxyClean White Revive is truly as good or better than the reviews. The two pictures with my review are of my chef's jacket. I am not a chef -- just a home cook with a once-upon-a-time white jacket. The Before picture shows the ugly mess on the sleeves from years of cooking and after lots and lots of laundering. I have tried several spray treatments trying to get the stains out of the sleeves. Similar stains are also on the front of the jacket. As you can see in the Before picture of the sleeves, nothing worked well. Enter OxyClean White Revive. Certain the product would not be as good as folks have been claiming, I decided to give it a try. Directions call for a six-hour presoak for stubborn stains. I did an overnight presoak, following the directions. Then, I ran this through a standard wash cycle in my 30-year-old top-loading non-HE washer, adding another small scoop of OxyClean, again following directions. I was shocked when I hung the dried jacket up again. These are unretouched photos taken in the same location with the same lighting before and after. This jacket has not been this white since the day a relative gifted me the jacket for Christmas in 2007. So, if your sheets, towels, or white clothing are no longer white, get this product. You will not regret it.
