They are foil and so take a bit of getting used to while shuffling because they can slip away from you, but once they become 'handled' and you get used to them, all you notice is how beautifully illuminated the cards are in either natural or artificial light. I thought I knew the traditional RW cards well, but I have noticed more subtle imagery in these cards due to the iridescence of the cards highlighting some less obvious features. I think these cards will be a wonderful addition to any Tarot collection.

Excellent, love these cards! Very slippery when handling, so take your time and they shouldn't fly away. I only noticed a slight smell when I had cards close to face, practically no smell for me. Quality great and clear pictures on cards, good booklet and box. These are my special cards now and would buy again if needed. Recommend these with no probs at all for me, good price too and were delivered early. Thank you!

These gold foil tarot cards are not only practical but absolutely beautiful the card stock is exceptionally good and thick making them sturdy cards and very easy to use. Only reason I gave a 4 star is because I found them the exact same deck half the price on another big online retailer but they are still good value for money. If you love tarot cards you will absolutely love this deck!!!!

Feels great in the hand and cards fly out when reading

My brain went Shiny! Must have! Like a deranged crow, and ignored any sense beyond it. Straight to buy now, didn't even land in my cart, and I didn't read the description or any reviews either lol It's plastic, not coated paper. It's slippery as a banana peel in a cartoon. And I don't care, it's shiny and it reads well. It will not crack, split, or fold like cardstock. It's so easy to split shuffle these, great for the arthritic hands. And I always have the T-Rex extended grabber hands nearby to pick up the cards when they inevitably land on the floor.

These make a beautiful gift. The box they come in is sturdy, the lid is held closed with a magnet. They are very lush cards to admire but hard to read because they are so shiny. They are also very slippery.

Stunning. Simply beautiful. So slippery. I've been reading for 31 years and these are the slickest cards I've ever worked with. But! They won't tear or get worn down like cardstock. I do appreciate when I can wipe my decks down with a damp ammonia cloth; these are cleanable. Probably the most beautiful deck I've worked with. I only use these on a large table.
