Chaco Women's Z2 Classic Outdoor Sandal

First, excuse my ugly toes, years of soccer and ingrown toenails have made them so unredeemable. 🦶 For reference, I have the same size 39 birks from the 7th grade that I still fit into, I also wear a size 9 in reef sandals, and usually an 8.5 for running shoes (Nike & Adidas) and 9 for hiking shoes (New Balance & ASICS). I had to buy both sizes 8 and 9 to figure out what was most comfortable Chaco for me. (Obvs an 8.5 would’ve been perfect. Thanks Amazon😐) I decided to go with the 9, it left more room in the toe section for when I’m walking uneven terrain. This is a big one for me, with so many past toe injuries, I just don’t want anymore!!! My first two pics are size 9 and the last two are size 8 and hopefully you can see how my big toe almost hangs off. I think 10 years ago when I weighed 40 pounds less I might’ve kept the 8 because my instep was more skinny and maybe they would’ve fit better. 🤷🏻‍♀️ p. s. Go on YouTube to figure out how to loosen and tighten these straps!! At first, I thought mine were defective, until I figured out how to move all the webbing!! p. p. s. The size 8 I ordered came in a shoebox with some directions on use and were packed in another shipping box, very professional. The size 9 I received came in a plastic bag, no directions what-so-ever and they were put in another shipping bag, that didn’t even have bubble wrap inside. It does make me wonder about authenticity and Amazon’s shipping policies???????

The best pair of shoes I've ever owned! I bought these to replace an old, cheap pair of faux leather sandals I got at TJ Maxx. I was sick of spending too little money on sandals and then getting what I paid for. I also hate wearing sneakers in the summer, but we are very active and walk and hike a lot, so I needed sandals that could facilitate that. These sandals are truly amazing - I wore them right out of the box when we went on our vacation in Maine and I had no issues whatsoever with blisters or discomfort. I wore them hiking on the Bold Coast, in the woods, on the beach, out to dinner, everywhere we went. They have amazing treads so you can scramble over pretty much any surface, including rockweed. They have superb arch support - in fact, I had major issues with plantar fasciitis earlier in the summer, and the pain literally vanished within a couple of days after I started wearing these sandals. I am usually a 7.5 but sized down to the 7 (wide width) and they fit perfectly. I would buy these again in a heartbeat!

Not gonna lie, the break-in period is REAL. At first they feel kinda stiff, but once they mold to your feet?? Elite. The arch support is actually crazy good (like your feet feel secure-secure.)

At first it felt like they were too tight for my foot to fit in the sandal. Then I read the instructions that came in the box as to loosening and tightening the straps. After following the instructions, it was fine putting them on. They are fairly sturdy. I have to say they have helped when walking--my knees (which are shot) and the bunion on my right foot. My foot with the bunion didn't hurt while walking in these, and my knees felt much better. Good support.

Bought as a gift for my daughter and she loves them. Cute and versatile.

I previously bought this sandal in a 7 and an 8 from a store near me, though they were too small and large (respectively). I love the simple design of Chaco sandals and really wanted them to work for me, so I decided to order a 7 Wide. If you are truly an in-between size like me, these are the perfect 7.5 because they are wider and seem to be slightly longer than a 7, but still smaller than an 8. Although the Chacos looked nice and adjusted well, I just couldn't get used to the feeling of them. Everyone says that they take time to break in, but I found it hard to want to put my feet in them because of how sore they made my legs and feet feel. I put a lot of weight on my inner foot, so the noticeable arch support didn't feel great to me. The slip-resistant footing on the sandal is a nice feature, but it is kind of rough so I'm not surprised to hear that people get blisters from them even after they are broken in. With how on the fence I was with them for the first couple of weeks of owning them, I decided to return them and not risk being stuck with a $100+ shoe that I wouldn't be happy in. These shoes just didn't work for me personally. They are still made with good, lasting material and have a lot of style for being casual. If you're looking for a similar style sandal with more giving material on the footbed/insole, I highly recommend Teva sandals. I just bought a pair and I am completely in love with them. They give me the simple, strappy, nature-esque look I wanted in a shoe that fits my foot much better.

Oh man… how I wanted to love these. This is my 3rd pair. The first 2 were amazing and lasted 10+ years. These? Lighter, less quality straps and soles. And 7 months in and they are already broken.

These are like my original Chaco’s . Great grip for walking. I have plantar fasciitis and usually wear orthotics but I don’t need orthotics with these shoes. Excellent arch support. I have several pairs of Chaco’s and have been wearing them for years.

After wearing chacos for 15 + years they stopped accepting payments from overseas buyers (a tax issue) So bought these and noticed the sizing ran big and the sole was super squishy. After wearing these for 7 months was getting feet problems. So bought another pair from a US retailer and they were like my old chacos that I had been wearing for years. I’m afraid to say that these appear to be fakes in my opinion.

Ich liebe diese Sandalen! Sie sind im Vergleich zu anderen Sandalen dieser Art etwas schwerer, aber mich stört das nicht. Sie sind sehr bequem. Die Riemen lassen sich super an den Fuß anpassen und die Zehenschlaufe gibt z. B. im Wasser guten Halt. Außerdem sehen sie auch zum Kleid sehr schön aus.
