I initially had a complaint about this flag pole as it squeaked every time the wind blew. However, I took some 3 in 1 Silicone tool oil (must be the silicone version or you’ll ruin the plastic) and lubricated the glass ball bearings in the 2 mounting sleeves. Problem fixed. It’s been blowing in the wind for the last couple months without making any noise. I checked it recently and found the shaft sections had been slowly loosening. So you’ll want to check that every once in awhile, or just put a drop of blue lock tight on the threads during assembly. Easy enough. The bracket is metal and quite sturdy. My last flag pole broke off at the plastic wall bracket, which led to my search for this one. Very happy with it.

Cheaply made plastic swivel rings. The ear on one of my swivel rings broke, and it's not even a year l purchased the two flag poles. Will not buy from this company ever again until they decide to make a Stirdier mechanisms. I think it's made in China where they make crappy everything and sell to the USA! I'am done with everything made in freaking China.

Love this! Easy to assemble. Mine has been up around 6 months and is solid and stable. I can't reach the flag easily where we hung it so I appreciate not having to untangle it! I did have to pull it down once to clean out the rings that spin. They had accumulated some crud and weren't turning anymore. Didn't take much to free them up.

Bought this less than a week ago, have only had it out for about 4 days. Initial impression about the “tangle free” 360 deg rotating clips, it sounded like a bunch of sand. Turns out it’s because the lowest quality bearing that could be used is what’s in there and apparently only enough bearings to make it look like someone tried with nearly 1/4 of the bearing race (unlubricated at that) being void of any bearings at all. This will fail quickly and already showing signs of rust…IN 4 DAYS! Hugely disappointed. Pure example of poor craftsmanship and deceptive product description. Edit/Update: I am increasing my rating for a few reasons. 1. The store did offer me a full refund when I originally reviewed which demonstrated a commitment to their customer satisfaction policy. I did not accept the offered refund because I was using the pole and it would be awkward to leave an honest review while being refunded even though Amazon policy clearly states any refunds are not to influence changing of reviews, and to be clear, the seller absolutely did not indicate the refund they offered was contingent on my changing review. Honesty and commitment to their customer satisfaction policy +++++. 2. It would appear the store has upgraded the swivel bearings to hard glass beads. This should reduce or eliminate the rust issue I observed shortly after using it. I disassembled the older swivels, added more bearings, cleaned and lubricated the bearings and races with silicon and it helped significantly. If the newer model has all glass bearings and they fill the bearing race, problem should be solved. Upgraded manufacturing/design/materials ++++ 3. I’ve been using this pole for a couple years now and despite some really high winds in the area a couple times while having the flag out, the pole is pretty stout. I wrapped the end of the pole in white electrical tape before inserting into the holder so the bird screws on the holder don’t completely marr and dent the finish of the pole. It makes for a much tighter fit and no clunking around in the holder. The holder is also stout as can be and haven’t had any issues at two houses now. The only thing I would ask to change if I could is for the holder to allow for the holder bird screws to be able to insert and screw down on both right OR left side to accommodate situations where the holder has to be mounted in such a way where the right side of the holder is against brick or a wall.

Value was spot on. Bought these to mount to the rear of my work trailer. I don’t want to gush but they were perfect. Used my own self tappers.

Very nice flagpoles bought two to replace fewer appealing flagpoles, assembly very easy and the finish on the product and hardware are very nice. The swivels are very nice and for the most part keeps my flags tangle free. I Drilled out the top decorative ball and put the Eagles from my previous poles and they look great. They seem very sturdy and I have had no problems in the wind as these screw together and don't push into one another like my older ones. Mounting brackets are a definite upgrade from the plastic ones I had. The finish was nice as I bought the Black to replace the thin steel ones I had. I Recommend these to anyone wanting replacements or new purchase!

I use this at a 45-degree angle. Looks great and is good quality for the price. The only thing is my flag does get stuck when it's windy, and the bearings in the flag hooks can be noisy. I had to put some white lithium grease on them, and that quiets them down for a few months.

The update: NOT even worth 2 stars, "at least now". It lasted just long enough that it was out of the return window time. (Of course). The one collar at the top of the pole kept hanging up and flag would of course wrap up every day. It was PERFECT until a week ago. I discovered what I believe 1 OR more of the "glass balls" in the collar seem to be broken. On the workbench I can turn the collar a little bit and it locks up solid. I back it up and try again and it starts OK but again will lock up. There has to be broken pieces in that collar that stop it. I plan on contacting the seller to have them send at least one replacement collar, in color white. If that does not work, I will try Amazon to ask for an exception on the return ....... OR see if Amazon can have the seller send one to me. I hope this was just isolated problem, because this flag really worked great for about 2 months. PS. The end of my original review about the sections loosening up in high winds, even when turned very tight. I used STRONG construction Gorilla glue, and one section still became loose. I can fix that, but I cannot fixed that defective collar. Indygrandpa MY Original Review: Someone had a great idea about the NO RUST "glass balls" that I call ball bearings, enclosed in the revolving pivot points that hold the flag on the pole. I have had this flag about a week now and have had high winds from different directions and not ONE wrap-up has happened. This flag poll, and its rotating swivel points need NO lube. The flag effortlessly rotates around the pole because of the glass ball bearings in the swivel's housing. I had different slip-on metal collars I purchased from Amazon for my old aluminum flag pole and they were "kind of OK", BUT it seemed like every other day I had to unwrap my flag. The enemy?? It was Friction! The rotating tabs, top and bottom were metal to metal. I put some thin grease in the slot but it did not last, AND in the wrap ups my flag got some dark aluminum/grease spots on it. The one caution I might add: In tightening the Allen-head lock bolt on those collars, do not over tighten because these collars are NOT metal. (hard plastic, maybe fiberglass). The Allen bolts seem to "bite into the pole" really good with "cautious" tightening. Mine did NOT slip even in those high winds for a week. You can always RE-Tighten ........ but not if you strip out the treads on that collar!! PS. I read in another person's review on this product about the pole sections that screw together. He said that his loosened up in some high winds. He put adhesive on the threads and reassembled the sections. (I used a Gorilla Glue on mine) Make sure every thing is OK before gluing. You probably could NOT return the product if sections are glued together.
