Amazing!
We like to float light up balloons in our pool when we have evening parties. This year I couldn't find the ones that came with lights in them, that I had purchased in the past. I opted for balloons and these lights separate as it was a better price. Our Halloween party was Saturday night and 3 days later they are still lit! The balloons popped and I save these just to see how long they last. I'd say, if you stick the little activation tabs back in, you could probably use them multiple times. They also have a little hanging ring so you can hang them on things. We hung them in pumpkins, trees, and multiple places around the house for a pop of light. I highly recommend!

Pretty, Little Lights
These little lights are amazing! We used them on Saturday, and most of them are still lit up on Thursday. You pull the little plastic piece out to make them light up. You can save the those pieces and put them back in to save the batteries. Some of the lights didn’t come on at first, but we hit them against the table and they lit up. They added the perfect amount of light to our party! One caution: I would be careful with these around small children. The lights are pretty small, and I could see a little one putting it in their mouth. I also saw some reviews of people putting these in drinks. I thought about trying it, but I was nervous someone would accidentally swallow it.

These little things are amazing!
I have been experiencing severe mobility issues. Several times a month, by the time I get to my apartment door after a package has been delivered, if the driver has not rung the doorbell to alert me they have dropped something off, someone in the building will have come along and helped themselves to the package sitting outside my door. I have made signs of various sizes requesting the drivers please ring the doorbell when delivering, and have made countless phone calls to (yes, even) Amazon, UPS, FedEx, etc. to make sure the directions for the drivers to *please* ring the bell are indeed noted in the driver’s instructions, and that the have a Supervisor request the drivers PLEASE ring the bell, as chances are I am not going to see a notification about the package in time. But the signs and the calls don’t always result in the drivers consistently ringing the doorbell (although Amazon has always been super helpful- their Supervisors have been very thorough in addressing this issue.) Were I not disabled, the doorbell being rung after a delivery would not be as crucial an issue. What else can I do, I thought, to attract attention to the doorbell? I’m working on a larger, more colorful and interesting sign, but I thought- why not add some kind of little flashing light to attract the eye to the doorbell? Delivery drivers are super busy, and they see many doors and doorbells (and, I am sure, signs) every day, so anything I could find to make the doorbell stand out would help. I looked at all sorts of different kinds of small lights before I came across these. I had never seen anything like them before- never knew little lights like this existed. But good old Amazon- trust them to pull yet another rabbit out of their hat. I thought they looked really cool. I was amazed at how tiny they were. The description stated that if you pulled out a tab on one of the spheres to activate the lights, if you replaced the tab, you would “turn off” the flashing light until you wanted it to flash again. That-- didn’t seem likely. I’ve purchased many inexpensive novelty items such as this, and was skeptical that something so dinky and inexpensive would come with an “on/off” switch. The little spheres come in a nice box. They are really small- I measured one half inch from bottom to top. I purchased the multicolored ones, which I assumed meant a mix of all the single colors in one box- some that blinked red, some blue, some green, etc. But instead it meant as soon as you pulled the little tab (I managed to lose the first couple of tabs before I learned to be careful to hold on to them) the little globe will blink all colors of the spectrum. The pattern of blinking and color change is really really fast! for a couple of seconds- then slower, like a heartbeat- then slow slow slow... for a few seconds, then back to super fast. They are BRIGHT little guys! After realizing they would be perfect to hang in a small, eye-grabbing cluster from the doorbell, I tied one to the end of a generous length of clear jewelry cord, pulled out the tab, and threw it across the carpet. The cats, who had been watching intently, went nuts! It was like a laser pointer, but without them ever figuring out that the red dot lives in the little box in your hand and wandering off in disgust. They chased it like it was some kind of crazy firefly. New cat toy! I wouldn’t leave one of these on the rug for them to just play with, because it is so small, I’d worry about it being swallowed. But at the end of a cord, sparkling and flicking around, they tired themselves out happily chasing it. I tied a few of these fun little things on a short piece of clear jewelry cord. I am going to tape them to the door jamb near the doorbell tomorrow, after activating them. The doorbell should then (I hope) be impossible to miss. And yes- you *absolutely can* push the tabs back into the little slots, and “turn off” the blinking, then pull the tab out again, and restart the blinking. You can do this repeatedly on the same little ball. I was amazed to see it worked! Back in the 90s, one of my buddies used to go to raves, and she would have absolutely loved these. Necklaces, bracelets- she’s such an artist, she would have probably covered a dress with them. But if you don’t happen to have a rave to go to, if you are going to walk at night with your dog and don’t have special lights, you could use these attached to your sleeves, or hanging from your pockets, or something. And put a some on the dog’s collar. Every one of these I have tried so far has worked. As I have only tested about twenty or so so far, I can’t attest to the viability of the rest of the box. But for the cost of these little things- their performance, and their construction, has really impressed me. Fingers crossed, they will work as a doorbell “lure."

Twinkling fun!
I made sparkling Christmas necklaces with these. They are still twinkling after 4 going on 5 days. There are so many fun things you can do with them. The hole you use to hang them with is pretty small, so I had to use jump rings to attach them on the necklaces.

Excellent little lights
These are amazing little lights that look perfect for crafts and costuming. I specifically got these to insert into some pendant cages for a steampunk plague doctor cosplay. It fits beautifully despite there being the loop at the top. They also fit into glass potion bottles. If the opening is bigger than 1cm it should fit fine. Even though the led is on the bottom it does a good job of also defusing the light through it so it glows nicely. Will create pinpoints where the led is facing unless you use something reflective like the pictured cage pendant. These are pretty lightweight. Plastic sphere with the batteries inside. The “on/off” is simply removing or inserting a plastic tab between the batteries. Very easy to get out with a tug, but can be tricky to get back in until you get the hang of it. Looks like the batteries are the type that have a rim on the top so sometimes the tab catches. I find if I’m looking into the slot it’s easier to not catch and it slides in with a bit of a push. Just be careful not to lose the tabs if you are planning on reusing these. I already lost one tab writing this review. I’ve tried to makeshift a replacement but it needs to be firm enough to force the batteries apart but thin enough to fit. Unlike some reviewers, none of mine came damaged, but it was also packaged in a box with other items. Squeezing between my fingers it holds up but I do hear creeking so my guess is they could pop apart with enough force. My biggest complaint is about some of the colors. I got the set of 5 Mixed colors which was supposed to be white, yellow, red, blue, and “colorful”. The listing specified that these were steady, non-flickering, non-blinking. Red and blue are amazing and really bright. White is a bright cool white. Yellow is in fact simply a warm white and not yellow at all. Holding it up to a piece of white paper shows this easily. The listing never explained what “colorful” was and sadly my suspicion was correct in that it is a blinking and flickering and fading multicolor. Yes, it goes through all types of color changes. I included a video with my review which shows this. Also, you’ll see that trying to tell the colorful and white lights apart is tricky. Both use white tabs. The white light has a yellow color to the tip while the colorful is clear as pictured. The “lanyard” they include are cheap beaded security ties that form a small loop. They seem kinda useless to me but maybe someone can use them for something. Overall I find these well worth the price and look forward to using them in the future.
