This tool goes above and beyond in helping to diagnose trouble codes. It is a tablet with a 5” touchscreen powered by an Android based rating system. Lightweight, with a smooth operating system and easy to use menus. Inside the box you get the scan tool, charging cable, the obd connection cable and a quick start guide. I charged it for a few hours before connecting to my home wifi. Did I mention that there is free updates? Very cool feature. I have another tablet scan tool that charges $360 a year for updates after the first year. I connected this to a 2012 Subaru that I had recently completed an engine swap on. About five hundred miles on the new engine and no check engine lights. I ran an auto scan of the systems and found that there were two stored codes in the brake system. Right next to the identified codes is a search button. When I tapped on it it instantly opened a browser and searched for that specific code. The first website (shown in the photos) was very helpful, listing all of the information about the code, diagnosis and how to fix it. Knowing that this was a stored code from the previous engine I cleared the stored codes and rescanned the system, clearing the codes. Among the multiple systems in the vehicle you can scan, the scan tool also allows you to run the engine and watch live data in particular systems. You can record, pause and also playback the data. There is also a graph function in live data to help with diagnosing certain values as they occur. These systems include OBD 2, engine control, brake control, transmission control, parking brake and airbag control. The scan tool also has numerous other special functions including SAS, oil reset EPB,BMS reset, throttle relearn, and ABS functions. This is much more than a standard handheld scan tool. Giving you a host of special features, Wi-Fi capabilities, and free updates to boot. This is a bargain when you get all of this for under $200.00. I’m very happy with my purchase and know that I can do so much more with just one tool.

All in all, this is a really good 4 system scan tool. So far I have used it on at least 5 different vehicles, all of different makes and manufacturers, and it's done a great job getting into and reading PIDs. I haven't really used the reset functions since there hasn't been a need as of yet, but customer service and tech support is awesome, and I'm sure they will address any problems with those features should they come up in the future. As far as I can tell, there really aren't any bi-directional controls other than the 6 special reset functions and perhaps evap testing, but it's not advertised to be. For the price point, this is a great scan tool for the amount of information it is able to access and display. It's an added bonus that it's also basically an Android tablet with a touchscreen and can also be used as such! Small gripes: 1. Feels and sounds hollow on the back side. So small taps resonate through. That said, it still feels pretty sturdy and well constructed. 2. For the overall size of the unit, the usable screen size is somewhat undersized. Could probably stand to shave 0.5"-0.75" off each side. Also, the screen size limits you to only 4 PIDs on screen at one time. Would be great if you could rotate the screen to get more data displayed at once. Despite the 2 small gripes, this is a great value, and will get used anytime I don't need bi-directional functionality. Highly recommended for what it does!

I have three other basic OBD2 scanners but this one is the best of all of them. It does much more than just say that there are no codes in the vehicle computer. It checks all of the relays and lets the user know if there are any faults or codes present in the computer. The other scanners won't automatically let me know what the vin is on my 2015 Hyundai Tucson 2.0 diesel but with this scanner all you have to do is program the vin into the scanner and all information about the vehicle are shown. It shows the vin information automatically on my 2018 Ford Ranger Wildtrak 2.2 diesel and it scans everything including the horn relay. This is a very good scanner for the price and I recommend it for the d.i.y. mechanic.

Looks like a good tool with a lot of advanced features. Giving 4 stars because it does not fully support my 2019 nissan altima. Needed a tool that can retract the EPB for brake service. It only resets initial pad position after brake service but does not retract the caliper for service. Will return and search for a different scan tool.

For $130, this device is pretty good. Not professional Snap On grade, but good enough for the DIY technician. After using a Lucas chemical to clean the carbon out of my 2012 Ford Escape, the carbon went down downstream and plugged up the converter setting a code. This device easily and quickly found the fault, and gave me general direction to look at. Code P0420 - Catlyst below threshold.
