Upgrade from a manual bilge
Bought a used bass boat recently and have been going through the boat, getting it ready for the water and I find everything working fine, butmy bilge was manual switched on only. Now, if I'm just having the boat in the water while using it, that's fine, but, intend to have this docked on the lake, so when unattended, I have that security knowkñg if the boat does happen to start taking on water in my absence, well, I won't arrive to mooring ropes hanging off the side of the dock with a submerged boat down there. The other side feature with this auto pump, is that it is a three wire setup. Meaning. One continuous hot(or ON thru an on/off/ on switch) and, full auto function wired with fuse to constant switched power on the other side of that on/off/on switch on the dash. Nice thing is, my manual switch pump was already pre wired in the boat. And it still works, so I extracted it for later use, then with its existing wiring, easily wired for the fully auto function, then just simply crimp on your different colored wire for that manually switched side, crimp on a good waterproof fuse block and connect that to the other side of the switch, which was also swapped out from an on/ off to an on/off/ on switch, put the little rubber switch cover on, and I'm done. Fully functional, more reliable insurance. The best feature I noticed really is that, if the boat is trailered, I can simply turn the switch to off, and have no live wires back there in the transom and sump, incidently where a 15 gallon fuel cell rests also. I already know this brand and trust it already, it's a no brainer. Oh, and at 750 gal/h, the pump rating? Unless someone took a Browning BAR to your hull? It pumps the water out plenty fast, battery health is your only other concern there.

This brand is more vertically challenged than other brands
this is pump is the cheapest i could find but it is only capable of pushing water 3ft or so vertically above it. Rule brand pumps can push up vertically 12 ft which is significantly better at double the cost of this. 3ft doesn't cut it for my application, so this goes into the trash bin. If you have a less challenging application this may be enough.

Seaflo bilge pump works good.
I purchased this bilge pump for my 1986 basstracker bass boat it works good for a small boat. Compact makes it user-friendly in just about any location. It's quite and pumps out pretty quickly.

Good basic bilge pump for general light purposes.
This is a good little bilge pump to handle general light water ingress. While with 3-4 foot of head the volume is noticeably decreased but that was suspected. As a note, the 1 1/8” hose specification is only to fit over the ridges of the hose barbs but you really need a 1” I.D. hose to actually fit snugly and to be able to seal up with a hose clamp. The wires are rather short so you will likely need to lengthen them as needed based on your installation. These float switch works well although expect about an inch of water to remain when it shuts off. I was not able to test actual current draw, but for my initial purchase a garden tractor battery ran it extremely well for about 15 minutes without killing the battery so a marine battery should be more capable over longer periods of time.

Solid Bilge Pump and Fit Perfectly in My Old Housing
I bought the SEAFLO 01 Series 1100 GPH Bilge Pump for my 18-foot fishing boat after my old one quit on me. I had a much more expensive bilge pump before that looked pretty similar, and I was happy to see this one fit right into the old bilge housing with no issues. It saved me a lot of hassle since I didn’t have to mess with new mounting or brackets. This pump works great so far. It moves water out fast, and I’ve had no problems with it clogging or airlocking, which was an issue with my last pump. I took the boat out on the lake for a full day, and the bilge stayed nice and dry, even with some choppy water splashing in. The 1-1/8 inch outlet matched my setup perfectly, and I like that it’s submersible and has a 4-year warranty. It feels sturdy enough for regular use, and I haven’t noticed any leaks or weird noises. One thing I’d say is to double-check your wiring setup. I had to trim the wires a bit to fit my existing connections, but it wasn’t a big deal. Also, it’s a little louder than my old pump, but not enough to bother me. For the price, this is a great deal compared to the pricey one I replaced. It does the job just as well, and I’m glad I didn’t have to modify anything to make it fit. Definitely recommend it if you need a reliable bilge pump for your boat.

Set up to a deep cycle battery and a solar trickle charger. So far working well. Just have it placed in for a temporary quick fix. Need to properly install once I over haul the boat. But for now working as expected
