I bought this to deter birds from eating my expensive seed, just until the plants establish. Works great so far for the price! I just ordered 2 more. Birds have avoided the general area where I place it, though I am in the garden often and can easily move the snake to new locations from time to time--I think this helps. I think otherwise the birds would grow accustomed to it over time.

This fake snake is way too realistic… which is exactly why I bought it to scare my wife 😄. Mission: successful. At 50 inches, it’s big enough to cause immediate panic when casually placed in the garden or by the door. The rubber feels sturdy, the details are convincing, and from a distance it looks very real. It’s perfect for harmless pranks and good laughs once the screaming stops. Totally worth it and endlessly entertaining—highly recommend if you enjoy a little playful chaos.

The paint is already coming off, but it’s still fun to throw around. My siblings love it.

Best fake snake looks real

Local sparrows were using the awning on our RV slide out as a nicely protected nesting site. While prepping for an upcoming trip, I cleared out the nests after the brood moved out, only to find new nests under construction the next day. I cleared the material out and they proptly began construction again. This pattern went on for several days. They are persistant and wouldn't give up, so I decided to try these rubber snakes. I placed one at each open end of the awning and they have done the trick. The birds have finally taken the hint and moved on to nest somewhere else. I guess they look real enough.

Thrilled with my purchase of this fake snake! This, along with a homemade concoction I've crafted, has saved my peonies from the squirrels and other critters! Move the snake every few days. Then use a smelly deterrent (garlic, pepper) on and around the plant, in combination; you should also see success. Great value, durable, and easy pest control.
