Clever design made installation fairly easy and product performs great!
Took me about 45 minutes to install since I went step by step very carefully so as not to mess up. If I purchase additional Blind Tilts the installation will probably take only 10 minutes. The product performs exactly as described. It changes the blind angles fairly slowly but speed really isn't needed anyway and slower movement will hopefully translate to longer trouble free lifespan. Initially I hooked up the supplied solar panel but the Blind Tilt didn't recognize it. I did some research and theorized that the Blind Tilt firmware was at version 1.2 while the latest version 2.0 was needed to support the solar panel and associated light sensor. I could not find anyway to upgrade the firmware so I submitted a support request to Wonderlabs. The very next morning I discovered that there was a firmware upgrade awaiting installation into my Blind Tilt. I went through the upgrade and now the solar panel is charging the unit (when there's bright enough sunlight). Overall the Blind Tilt is working great! Discovering that the firmware was out of date was disappointing but Wonderlabs took care of that literally overnight. I've set the unit up to automatically open every morning and close every evening so I'll see over the next few weeks if it performs reliably and also if the solar panel keeps the unit charged. I've added the Alexa integration and that also works great. I've mounted it to a six foot wide by five foot high window blind that is about four years old. The Blind Tilt gear motor did not seem to be "laboring" at all when it went from down close to up close, so I think it could handle even larger blinds if it needed to. A note about the process of mounting the solar panel to your window via the self adhesive pad. I cleaned the glass with the supplied alcohol wipe then peeled the backing off of the self adhesive strip and began to position the panel towards the top of the window. I inadvertently slightly touched the pad to the glass while moving the panel into position and it stuck instantly and I couldn't pull it back off (without risking damage) so the solar panel is mounted at an angle a few inches from where I panned to place it. Oh well!!! :) So use some extra care when you reach this step. If it survives my "trial" period I will probably purchase several more since I have the same Horizontal Blinds on every window in my house! It's appears to be a well designed, sturdy product that is providing a lot for its relatively low price. I will update if things change! May 26,2025 update: I ended up buying seven more these to automate the four blinds in my livingroom and three blinds in my bedroom. Installation went great on all of them and they all work fine. The only issue Iโve run across is with the Alexa integration. I donโt know if my blinds are unique but when they are โclosed upโ they block light much better than when they are โclosed downโ. Unfortunately, Alexa can open or close them just fine with voice commands but they always โclose downโ which means I have to go into the SwitchBot app and command a โclose upโ or else live with the light leaks!

Works great
I got 2 of these in order to automate my tilt blinds to close automatically at sunset and open at sunrise and they overall work amazing. While they are Bluetooth (which is understandable given the price), I was able to connect them to Home Assistant and automate the blinds as well as hook my Zigbee remote to control them easily. Connection is very reliable, responding almost instantly (within 1-3 seconds at most). Install was easier than I thought but it was tough closing the plastic piece onto my wand (but thatโs probably just me). Theyโre well worth the money in my opinion especially on sale.

Easy to set up, even easier to use!
I love this product! They open the blinds in the morning, and close them when the sun goes down. It makes it simple to do easy tasks that I don't want to have to do manually, and the included solar panel keeps it charged with just a little light each evening!

Does the Job
Easy to install, especially when you complete one. The additional units take only about 5 minutes (no tools required). The solar panels are rather small and mostly unnoticed from outside. The operating units stand out when first installed (they seem to be slightly longer than necessary), but blend in over time (if your blinds are white). The app is user friendly, makes scheduling simple (ex. open at sunrise, close at sunset). Integrates easily with Alexa (with limited functionality), but a separate hub is required (not ideal).

Blind tilt Experience
I recently completed a fairly large SwitchBot Blind Tilt project in my home, installing Blind Tilts on all 9 of my windows. Overall, Iโve been very pleased with the system and especially like being able to integrate the blinds into Apple HomeKit through Matter and control them with Siri. The installation process also gave me quite a bit of hands-on experience. My existing Levolor mini-blind tilt wands created some compatibility challenges, and I ended up replacing the wands and modifying the eyelets slightly so the SwitchBot hooks would fit securely. Once I worked through that, installation and calibration became much easier, and by the final blinds I was able to install them pretty quickly. Iโve also been experimenting with the solar panels and trying to find installation methods that keep them functional while still looking clean from both inside and outside the home. A small mounting or cable-management accessory specifically designed for discreet solar-panel placement would actually be something Iโd love to see from SwitchBot. I use Apple HomeKit extensively throughout my home, so Matter integration is particularly important to me. Iโm currently using a SwitchBot Hub and have also been looking at the newer Hub models as my SwitchBot setup grows. Overall, Iโve really enjoyed the Blind Tilts and would absolutely be interested in providing additional feedback or participating in testing of future SwitchBot smart-home products.

Great Automation For Any Blinds
After replacing some old contractor grade blinds with nice custom ones, I decided to give one of these tilts a try. Ended up buying 2 more so the full room is automated. I was concerned that the rather small motor unit would have trouble turning the wand for 2 inch custom blinds, but it chugs right along without missing a beat. On that note, the size of these things is quite compact. I plan on painting the main shell to match the blinds (dark wood), but even with plain white right now, they don't stick out nearly as much as I expected they would. These paired easily with my Home Assistant hub via bluetooth proxy, and were easy to add into my daily automations. Open in the morning, partially close when the sun is hitting right through, and close fully at night. The Switchbot app itself is needed for initial install and possibly occasional calibration, but otherwise whatever hub you're able to pair to can handle everything. With Home Assistant, I am able to see battery and solar panel light levels (and even use that light level in my automation). They're not silent, but honestly not too loud, and on par with any automated blinds or shades I've ever used. For volume reference, at the beginning of the video, you can hear the Amazon Echo in the other room saying Ok to the open command. Even with all 3 moving at once, the volume is pretty reasonable. If I have any gripe, it's the the solar panel is a bit weak, needing pretty direct light to really charge. I have them in a bay window, and ended up needing to move one solar panel from the window that doesn't get much direct light to the window next to it. You can see the difference in the battery charge levels. All 3 started around 60%. The one that's in the window that gets a full blast of afternoon sun is nearly fully charged now. The other two are only up to about 80%. Overall, I'm absolutely thrilled with how well these work.

Very functional. Easy to install.
Works with horizontal min blinds. Quick and easy install. Start by using the switchbot app. Add device and pick blind tilt. Choice of pictures or video for install instructions. It walks you through every step. Love the sloarpanel is included. Small enough to not be an eye sore. Cheaper than 400+ motorized blinds. Great for renters..

Bad Value - Overpriced by at least 50%!!
This OVERPRICED item does not have a value worth the retail asking price. Even with a $10 off coupon, SwitchBot Blind Tilt is still grossly overpriced. For approximately $70 -- a REMOTE control is NOT INCLUDED (you must use their app). To purchase the remote, be ready to spend another $20. If you want SwitchBot Blind Tilt to talk to Alexa or Google assistants, budget to spend an additional money for one of their required hubs (Hub 1 = $40, Hub 2 = $70, Hub 3 = $130). Apparently, SwitchBot Blind Tilt is the only game in town if you want to open/close your already existing tilting window blinds. I strongly suspect if this device had competition, it would be easy to find this item for less than $35, including the remote. Beyond the price, SwitchBot Blind Tilt is excessively noisy. Example: if you wanted to use the device to QUIETLY and slowly open your bedroom blinds, for a natural and gradual sunrise wakeup (think circadian rhythm), the loud motor of this $70 device would easily serve as an unpleasant alarm clock. If you must have tilt-blind remote control for a handicapped person, or you have windows in a non-reachable area, and you don't want to spend several hundred dollars for just one custom remote-control, name-brand window blind, then yes, SwitchBot Blind Tilt could possibly be worth its excessive price. I am a retired technologist and have tested hundreds of computer-controlled or smart devices over the years. I have neighbors and friends who regularly ask my opinion before making a technology purchase. If they were to ask about SwitchBot Blind Tilt: I would tell them, unless you have a very special need (as outlined above), this overpriced, plastic gimmick is a HARD PASS, and I would NOT RECOMMEND SwitchBot Blind Tilt.

Great for home automation!
I purchased a single SwitchBot Smart Motorized Blind Kit and it worked so well I then bought the 3-pack for my other blinds. These are really easy to install with no drilling etc. The instructions were straight forward to follow and the app walks you through the process with step by step visuals. Aside from the easy physical installation, the setup within the app worked flawlessly first time for each one I setup. I charged them up before use and a few months later, I'm only now having to charge them up again which is as expected. I am using the included solar panels fitted on the windows but it's the middle of winter so I don't think they will perform as well at this time of year in any case given the low light. It's worth noting, the rod on one of my blinds is a bit stiff and not easy to twist, especially if the rod is pointing straight down (instead of holding it an an angle), this device is still able to open and close the blinds without any problem. I guess this will result in the battery life being shorter on this one but I was surprised it can open/close it with no issue. The Switchbot app is well thought out and has all the necessary settings you would expect. You can control the blinds via the app and set them so they auto open/close at specific times. The app also as the ability to automate them based on sunrise/sunset which I think would be the best choice. As a side note, whilst the app is comprehensive, after initially setting up within the app, I don't use it in any way to control them and instead I have incorporated them within Home Assistant as HA natively supports these Switchbot devices so I can control them along with all my other smart home devices. Great item and feature rich app. Recommended!

I should have bought this earlier
I stumbled on this device during Cyber Monday. Installation was easy, works great, does the job, the solar panel is an excellent feature (no cables from an outlet). Only disadvantage is that you need an additional hub if you want to control it with Google Home. I might try to use Home Assistant with a Bluetooth dongle.
